  It’s that time of the year again! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44708314/4b3f88d20a20500a8720d00e7c32689686254882.png The short interval between getting stuffed with Christmas specialties and popping the champagne for the New Year. The in-between-parties limbo, where one sits on a comfy chair with a hot coffee cup and gazes out the window thinking about buying a boat… And the plans we made that didn’t work out. The unexpected awesome things that happened. The friends we made. The places we visited. The XP gained! With all that has happened, I feel I won’t be exaggerating when I say that 2024 was one bumpy ride of a year. And that goes double for a game like Stunt Xpress. So grab yourself a warm beverage of your choice and join me, as in the paragraphs below, I recall and reflect upon this year’s highlights in the development of our air-flipping & box-delivering indie game. NEW TEAM {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44708314/467c292c0d26801cb3efcfbcefe32d90bf3b13dc.png About this time, exactly one year ago, I was still jumping on my couch like a little kid. Not because Santa had brought me some awesome Lego set (although he also actually did - thx santa!), but because just a few weeks earlier, I had signed my first video game publishing deal with none other than the Godot wizards and hippest gamedev crew down at Pineapple Works. Although the ink had not yet dried, we were already in the heat of laying the groundwork for the months ahead. And let me tell you, the task was nothing short of colossal. Almost everything in the game needed to be either revamped or binned and restarted from scratch! Yes, up until 2023 I had no experience in making video games. Imagine the horror in their faces when they first delved into my code (some of it dating back to 2022). It was more like the indecipherable scribbles of a 6 year old still learning how to write.   Stunt Xpress Next Fest June 2024 - BIG demo update!

  Next Fest June 2024 has just started! As participants, we've prepared a whopper of a demo update for this occasion! Some of the main points: new languages! Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese and French! improved difficulty balance! added vehicle relative steering! (keyboard & mouse players should like this one!) lotsa bugfixes! Here's the full changelog: General changes: New: Last resort ticket mechanic - if you have only 1 ticket left you will never drop to 0 if you every time finish all the tasks during the match Vehicles are now little wobbly in the garage and main menu to give them more character. Character limit increased to 32 (for longer names width of label will be automatically adjusted). Player's vehicle is now incomparably more stable while destroying objects like trees, market stalls, fruit boxes, fences etc. Player can now score stunts from arena's initial jump. Now rotation speed is slowly decreasing after crash to reduce a "fast spinning vehicle" effect. Removed collider from ceiling on the tutorial map. New music track Tutorial and onboarding: New: Add quick tutorial (on the side menu) to explain in-game progression mechanics New: Random small quick tips on the post-match screen (to learn players about indirect mechanics and strategies). New: Pause menu now displays control scheme for mouse+keyboard too. Accessibility: New: Setting to toggle inverted camera New: Experimental user setting - vehicle relative steering New: Experimental user setting - keeping camera always behind player's vehicle New: Option to switch language inside options menu (currently supported languages: en, pt, pt_BR, fr) UI/UX: New: In air drop challenge parcels have now separated timer above them and arrow indicator is pointing on the plane instead. New: When match is very close to end there is additional indicator with sfx. New: Player can now see item stats in description of unlocked reward.   Hello all thrill-seekers and delivery van drivers! 🚚 Today we're excited to share 2 updates with you! The first good news is that... Stunt Xpress DEMO is OUT NOW and you're invited to be among the first who experience it so buckle up and rev up your engines! Another thing that we'd love to share with you is that Stunt Xpress will be participating in the upcoming Steam Next Fest on June 10th. Steam Next Fest is an important event to us during which you'll also be able to play the demo. It's a big chance for us to spread the word about Stunt Xpress and connect with even more players.
