About this game
Join Nora on a strange and unsettling journey of discovery in this point-and-click adventure by solo developer Galactic Ghosty. Something is abducting the residents of Gruesome Grove, and bringing them home means uncovering secrets some of the town would rather keep buried.
With a note pointing her somewhere forbidden as her only clue, Nora must piece together what happened and why, before there's no one left to save. She'll encounter the town's revered (and ravenous) moths, and navigate the displaced monsters left wandering the wreckage of her home. The deeper she goes, the less certain it is she'll make it out with everyone she loves.
The Gruesome Grove she grew up in has gone. To bring it back, she'll have to break every rule standing in her way.

A hand-crafted point-and-click adventure, inspired by the classics
A lush, detailed world brought to life through art nouveau-inspired illustration
A charming cast of characters, human, monster, and animal alike
Combine items and negotiate with characters to solve inventive puzzles
An intriguing story full of twists and turns, laced with dark humour
An original soundtrack by Kim Miller

Some Of My Favourite Point & Click Games!
Heya!In many ways, Allogloom is a love letter to one of my favourite genres: Point-and-click adventure games! I thought it'd be fun to share some of my favourite games from the genre (and a few that inspired Allogloom along the way!)Growing up, I only really played the point-and-click games that my grandparents gifted me. 😊When I got a bit older and could start buying games myself, I ended up discovering loads of amazing modern ones that I absolutely fell in love with. Here are a few that have stuck with me!Pajama SamThe Pajama Sam games my absolute favourites growing up!I loved the creative puzzles and exploring all the colourful environments. There were so many fun little things to click on, and I remember always wanting to see what every object did.My favourite was No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside. It had a slightly spookier vibe compared to the others, and I remember loving that about it. Looking back, I think that's probably where my love of creepy-but-cosy worlds started!MachinariumI fell in love with Amanita Design’s Machinarium almost straight away. The hand-drawn artwork and animations are absolutely beautiful, and I loved how unique the world felt. It has such a lovely atmosphere. One of my favourite things about it is that the story is told without any dialogue. Everything is shown through the animation and artwork, and somehow it still manages to be really sweet. I thought that was so clever!Fran BowThis one was a huge inspiration for Allogloom! I absolutely loved the creepy/cute style. I've always enjoyed horror (especially with a bit of body horror and gore!), so seeing those themes in a point-and-click adventure was really exciting to me.I also liked playing as a female protagonist, and I thought the way the game explores themes like grief and childhood trauma made the story feel really memorable. One of my favourite parts was all the extra lore in Leon's journal. I remember reading everything because I just wanted to learn more about the world. See...Read full article on Community Announcements (ben)AnnouncementsOfficial
Allogloom Has a Publisher (and a New Release Date!)
Big news! 👻I’m excited to share two things at once:Allogloom has signed with Iceberg Interactive! …aaaand the game now has a new release date: October 13th!I've been crafting away alone for a while now, and there's only so much one person can do at once. Painting backgrounds, writing dialogue, testing puzzles, and then also trying to get the game seen by anyone at all, it's a lot to hold together solo.So having a team step in to help with marketing and testing means I actually get to spend my time where it matters most: finishing the last few chapters and making sure the details are right. The date moving to October is part of that too. It's a bit later than I originally planned, but it buys the time I need to iron out few kinks that were bugging me, tighten up some puzzles, and give the game the send-off it deserves instead of rushing it out the door. The game itself isn't changing! Same story, same weird little world, same me painting every frame of it. Just more hands helping it get where it's going, and a bit more time to get there properly.Thank you all for following along, wishlisting, and sending such lovely messages, it genuinely keeps me going. Can't wait to finally welcome you into Gruesome Grove this October...- Galactic Ghosty 👻PS: I've updated the Date Announcement Trailer with some brand new footage, so be sure to check that out. 👀Read full article on Community Announcements (ben)Press Coverage
