Join forces to solve a crime in Finch & Archie, an episodic co-op adventure set during the Great Depression. Use your detective skills and canine nose to uncover evidence and catch the criminal alongside Jack Finch and his trusty police dog, Archie.

About this game

The careless romance and glamour of the Roaring ‘20s in America are over; poverty and crime run rampant in the grimy streets of the Great Depression. Jack Finch, a reclusive but hard-nosed detective, has sworn he’ll never work with another partner again. But his boss doesn't much care about him vowing to work alone – and soon he finds himself teamed up with the newly graduated police dog Archie. He might want nothing to do with the spunky canine, but with a mass murderer on the loose and an ever-growing case file, the new team has to learn to work together if they want to catch the culprit and restore peace to the city…

COOP PLAY: CHOOSE THE COP OR THE DOG

Finch & Archie is a two-player co-op. You can choose to be either the weathered detective Jack Finch or the good boy Archie. Please don’t fight over who gets to be the dog.

FIND A WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR PARTNER

Because you are a human-dog partnership, communication does not come easy. You will have to be creative to explain your findings to your partner. The mystery cannot be solved without sharing evidence between yourselves – but unless you speak dog (or can bark in human), you’ll need to find creative ways to communicate with your partner…

BRING YOUR UNIQUE SKILLS TO THE INVESTIGATION

Both Finch and Archie bring their own strengths and unique skills to the investigation. Use either your magnifying glass or your excellent sense of smell to find and gather evidence that will help you with your case.

INTERROGATE SUSPECTS AND WITNESSES

Suspects can be as wily as witnesses can be unreliable. Question their motives, find out their alibis, poke holes in their testimonies, and use evidence to catch them in lies and contradictions.

ANOTHER NIGHT, ANOTHER CASE

Dive deep into a collection of hard-boiled, noir crime stories set in the Great Depression. Finch & Archie is an episodic game, and each episode opens a new investigation – but they are all tied into an overarching story.

    Dev Diary #4

Well, well, well... Hello again everyone! It is my pleasure to reveal that we are indeed still here, and still working hard developing the story of Finch & Archie to share with you all. Thank you for being patient with us ⋮3Since releasing the Prologue and Episode 1 into Early Access, we've received a good deal of feedback and even put out a few patches. It was genuinely awesome to read about people's experiences and we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played so far and taken the time to write us some detailed feedback. It's clear that you're excited to see Finch & Archie truly come to life! That's really motivating for us, and we're beyond excited that you're invested in this story we're creating.A lot of that feedback helped us fix bugs or tweak the experience here and there right after the EA release - we couldn't have made those improvements without your help, so thank you once again, and be sure to give yourself a pat on the back. Some other feedback went deeper, which we appreciate immensely. I know I've said it before, but this is our first title, and while we didn't jump in blind, we are still learning a lot as we go. Reading about people's experiences is extremely helpful, and many of your suggestions were really great. Some of them will even be making it into the next release!Speaking of the next release... we are getting very close! It probably won't make it into the Summer Sale window, but it won't be long after. We're actively working on Episode 2 right now and planning ahead a little for Episode 3. For the most part, we are playtesting and tweaking the gameplay sequence, polishing the environment, and working on the cutscenes. The next release will be Episode 2 itself, alongside some other general updates. There is a lot of other stuff to do as well... we should probably make a new trailer, the store page needs an update, it's tax time, we're planning another trip to PAX, we're thinking about the next game... the list really never e...
