After finishing school, you applied for a normal job.
Now you're working your way up the career ladder and living the corporate life.

That all changes one day when you get a call from your mother. You learn that all you believed in as true was a facade.

You're confronted with a world you always thought of as fiction or movie material.
How you deal with this new situation, this new world, who you trust or not... that is up to you.

    Dev Log September 2026

Hey everyone, No, it's not September yet; I'm aware. ;-) But I'll be away from home the first 2 weeks of September, so I'm posting this Dev Log a little earlier. After I released the first part of Chapter 8, I started working on the 2nd part. The first scene is finished, and I'm now working on the 2nd scene. I had to set up a whole new environment for this scene, and that took several days because a lot of the assets I used had to be converted from Blender to DAZ. Additionally, it's bringing the graphics card to its limit... again.I like how the scene turned out, but I hate that it's lagging like hell when trying to set up renders. Luckily, it's not too long, but I'll use this setup a few more times later in this part of the Chapter. Not sure if I'm looking forward to that ;-)Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick Check-In before I'm gone, and here it is.The numbers so far: 121 static renders 371 lines in the script files Have a good time, guys. Cheers, Ceo P.S. preview renders...

    Chapter 8 - Knightfall - Part 1

Hey everyone,My translator just sent me the files for the Chinese versions and, as promised, I'll release the new version right away.I know, I said it before, but I want to make sure to manage expectations correctly: This part does NOT contain the Álfar-part pf Chapter 8. If you ended Chapter 7 by following a certain "person," this release will have no content for that branch. I'll work on that path in the upcoming weeks and months.Outside that, the available content heavily depends on your choices before, and it's impossible to see everything within a single playthrough. The release in numbers: 2172 static renders 57 animations 6318 lines in the script filesI hope you enjoy the new content, have a nice weekend. Cheers, Ceo P.S. a few more impressions from the new release...

Quick News regarding the Steam release of Chapter 8 - Part 1

Hey everyone,This is just a quick check-in to keep you up-to-date. The Beta phase is mostly completed, I still need to fix some minor bugs (until someone finds new major ones that is...). The main part I'm waiting for now is the Chinese translation. My translator is working on it, and his rough guess is "end of July." Take this with a grain of salt because there are always things that could go wrong.I need (want) to wait for the translation because the store page says the game features those languages. I don't want to put out an incomplete build that is missing one of the promised translations. If I do, I will get backlash for it - and rightfully so.While he's working on the translation, I'll set up the Steam achievements, etc.As soon as both are finished and tested, I'll release the update. That means I can't give you an exact date. The moment he sends me the translation, I'll upload everything and release it.Anyway, the wait shouldn't be too long. Have a nice start of the week, guys.Cheers, Ceo

    Dev Log July 2026

Hello everyone,I have to apologize for several things. The first: Sorry for being a bit late with this month's Dev Log. I wanted the remaining work on this release done before writing this update. The second: No Chinese translation for this Dev Log. My translator is pretty busy, and I don't want to bother him with the Dev Log and would rather have him working on the game translation ASAP.The third: No preview images for this Dev Log because... well, you'll see those renders pretty soon anyway.I uploaded the first Beta version to my internal test branches yesterday, and we're testing (and fixing errors made by the stupid dev) since then. As I said in earlier Dev Logs, I was thinking about how to approach the release for Chapter 8, and I did go with the separate releases. This means the next release will only contain the part that is NOT Álfheimr. To give you an idea, it's still longer than each of the Chapters 1 to 4 and just a little shorter than Chapter 5.I'm not entirely happy with that approach, but I think it's the right one for me and the better choice for the game overall. That way, I can focus on the Álfheimr part without feeling bad for not releasing something for such a long time. And those of you who are ot interested in Elves don't have to wait all that time to get stuff that's basically finished.I have no ETA for the release yet, since I have to wait for the proofreading on the French version and the translation of the Chinese versions. I hope to be able to release it in July but it might take a little longer, depending on the workload of my translator. Rest assured, that I'll release what I have as soon as it's ready. I won't wait for a specific day or release date. Have a nice weekend, guys. Cheers, Ceo

    Dev Log June 2026

Hello everyone,First of all, thanks for all your comments on last month's Dev Log regarding the release of Chapter 8. I read (and appreciated) every single comment, even if I didn't answer it directly. Reading them does help with making a decision. I haven't made that decision yet. As soon as I do, I'll communicate it properly.Meanwhile, the work on Chapter 8 is still ongoing, and the progress is pretty good overall. I'm working on the first Chapter ending for the non-Álfheimr part (there will be 2, each with a variation) and will hopefully finish that within the next week (with the exception of possible additional animations). After that, I'll move on to the 2nd ending, which will be a little more complex because the scene will most likely bring my GPU to its VRAM limit (again...). I fully expect to spend quite some time fiddling with camera angles and hiding characters just to get that stuff rendered.I still hope, that I get the majority of the remaining work on the non-Álfheimr part done until the next Dev Log so I can tell you, what I decided regarding the release and how I'll tackle the Álfheimr part. The current numbers for Chapter 8 so far: 1874 static renders 53 animations 5330 lines in the script filesUntil then, I hope you guys have a great time. Cheers, Ceo preview renders:
