About this game

Roadmap

Our Early Access Roadmap outlines the key additions and improvements we plan to make. These aim to deepen the game's story, expand your experience, and refine Ezechiel the Seventh's brutal journey.

This roadmap marks the foundation of what's to come, but it's not set in stone. Your feedback will continue to shape Sancticide, and we’re committed to adapting the game based on your insights and experiences.

About the Game

The unique, twisted setting serves as a backdrop to the tale of Ezechiel - a fresh recruit to the Sin Collector Corps, haunted by remorse and guilt as he embarks on one of his most essential missions yet. Explore the unforgiving world in which death is not the end but merely another beginning.

Explore and learn the rules governing the world of the biblical Apocalypse, which is filled with agony, suffering, struggle, and a glimmer of hope and humanity in the least expected places.

Dive into battles that blend old-school arena fighter intensity with modern third-person action mechanics fueled by the chaos of the biblical end times.

Wield sacred melee weapons, unholy ranged gear, and the divine power of "Purple" to craft a combat style worthy of a Sin Collector in the apocalypse.

Wield the Purple Powers, a divine force that allows passive enhancements to boost your survivability and active abilities to alter time, perception, or devastate foes.

  • Battle against various foes with distinct appearances, movement styles, and weaknesses.

  • Encounter Sinners and Debtors, mortals marked for divine judgment, and outwit or overpower Proselytes - fanatical minions of Them at The Top.

The idea of Kosherness assumes that all items and beings belong to one of two categories: Kosher (acceptable for Them at The Top) or unkosher (unacceptable).

Death in Sancticide is never a simple punishment. It allows the player to better understand the persistent world's rules and adjust their approach with each run.

Sancticide Leaves Early Access on March 11

Greetings, Sin Collectors,After months of development and valuable feedback from players and content creators, Sancticide is officially leaving Early Access. The full 1.0 version launches on March 11th at 18:00 CEST on Steam.Throughout Early Access, we have: reworked combat systems, improved camera behavior and controller responsiveness, refined core mechanics, rebuilt progression and upgrade systems, added new levels, enemies, and weapons, implemented numerous quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Much of this work was driven directly by feedback from players and content creators who took the time to share their thoughts and experiences with us. We are incredibly grateful for your support and patience during this journey.Sancticide is an indie project developed by a small team, not a massive AAA studio. Our goal has always been to create a challenging, atmospheric game set in a distinctive universe and offer a strong gameplay experience at a fair price. The 1.0 launch marks an important milestone for us, and we are excited to finally share the game's full version with all of you. The full 1.0 build will be available and fully playable for everyone who purchased Early Access starting Friday, March 5th, ahead of the official launch.Save disclaimer:Due to the large number of functional changes introduced in the full release, previous save files will unfortunately not be compatible. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but this step helps us prevent potential bugs and ensure the most stable experience possible. If you've been with us during Early Access - thank you. If you're joining us now - welcome to the Apocalypse! The sins remain unpaid. Judgment begins March 11.

    Scroll of Beasts

As the world teeters on the edge of oblivion, it’s not fire or famine that greets you first on the path—it’s the faces. Twisted. Masked. Forgotten. Sancticide’s world may be stalled in the End Times, but its horrors are anything but static. With each major patch on the road to 1.0, we’ve reshaped what stands between you and final judgment. Some enemies have been reforged, others emerged from the darkness for the first time. Each has a story. A purpose. A design, often divine, always broken. 🔔 Ringer - Once a common foe, now rebuilt to resist the old tactic of spamming strikes and powers.  🪓 Viscerator - A walking error of judgment. Four men fused into one abomination, wrapped in crude armor and armed with whatever sharp, heavy metal was lying around. The math didn’t add up, but the blood certainly does.  📿 Reliquary - Cloaked in relics and fragments of sacred iconography, this Purple user channels the will of forgotten angels, but bows to no one, not even the Sin Collector.  👁️‍🗨️ Dybbuk - Possession incarnate. When the host is broken, the demonic cloud leaves only to seek a new one. Kill fast, or risk becoming its next shell. And these are just the visible scars on the body of the world. Behind the curtain, more beasts boil in the mire. Each update brings new creatures, new challenges, and new reworks driven by your feedback, reports, and even your frustrations. We're not done yet.⚔️ More enemies are coming. Some will crawl out of the Reversed side of reality. Some will descend from what’s left of the Heavens. And some-well, some were always here, just waiting.Thank you for walking this road with us. The apocalypse is far from over, but every step, patch, and encounter gets us closer to the world we want Sancticide to be.💀 Sharpen your blade. 👁️ Stay watchful. 📜 Please check back soon, as the judgment is still in progress. - Red Square Games Team
