About this game
Blood & Chaos is a party based roguelike RPG that puts you in command of a fellowship of adventurers. Build a team of up to six heroes and lead them through a perilous, ever changing world where every decision carries weight and every loss is permanent.
Explore cities, uncover quests, and descend into deadly dungeons as the past begins to resurface.
Will your fellowship rise to legend, or be consumed by chaos?

Tactical turn based combat
Engage in challenging battles where every move counts. Position your heroes wisely, exploit enemy weaknesses, and unleash powerful spells and abilities to turn the tide of battle.

Dangerous exploration
Delve into cursed dungeons filled with traps, secrets, and unpredictable threats. Each descent is different, shaped by chance and choice. The deeper you go, the higher the risk.

Build your party
Create and develop a party of up to six unique heroes, each with distinct skills and roles. Shape their progression, manage equipment, and adapt your strategy as challenges grow harsher. Losses are permanent, and every fallen hero matters.

A living world
Beyond the dungeons lie cities and other places of refuge. Interact with NPCs, uncover hidden quests, and navigate a world shaped by ancient conflicts, divine influence, and your own actions.

A classic soul
A tribute to the golden era of ’80s RPGs, Blood & Chaos blends classic depth and atmosphere with modern roguelike mechanics and quality of life improvements. Every run tells a different story.

A Long Overdue Update from the Developer
I owe you this, especially those of you who have shown interest in Blood & Chaos for a long time now. I've been quite bad at keeping you posted on how development is going. So here is one of my resolutions for 2026: write the very first Steam post! The GenesisBlood & Chaos is the game I've been dreaming of making for decades, ever since I was a teenager and finished playing Ultima IV. You'll probably notice that inspiration throughout Blood & Chaos. After many false starts over the years, I finally took the plunge a couple of years ago and fully committed to developing it. And oh man… I had no idea what I was stepping into! 😂The ConceptBlood & Chaos is a dark, 2D pixel-art RPG roguelike inspired by classic RPGs and roguelikes from the 80s.It combines fast dungeon runs with a longer, story-driven campaign, built with the goal of recreating the feeling of classic heroic fantasy and old-school D&D-style adventures. What Has Been Achieved So FarYear one was entirely focused on the dungeon-crawling core: prototyping, lots of sweat (and some blood… and chaos 😉), and trying to find the right approach for a party-based, turn-based RPG roguelike.Year two was about wrapping up the first solid version of dungeon crawling. This included playtests, which led to redesigning several concepts and mechanics. It was also the moment when development started moving out of the dungeon and into the light of day: overworld and cities, amongst other things. What to Expect in 20262026 should (hopefully) be the year. The year of the first playable demo on Steam (first half of 2026).The year of the full release (towards the end of 2026).I know I've half-announced milestones like these before, and you’d be right not to fully trust them. Game development is hard (harder than one imagines) and Blood & Chaos will only be released when it’s good and fun. Not before. One Last Thing...Some of you asked for it, so I've now set up a Discord server for Blood & Chaos:👉 Blood & Chaos Discord ServerThat said, d...Read full article on Community Announcements (yannick)
