Why is my independent game named DaiConflict: Jia vs. Li?

At the end of the Warring States period, even after Qin captured the Zhao capital Handan and took King Qian of Zhao hostage, the state of Zhao did not immediately perish. Hundreds of members of the Zhao royal clan followed Prince Jia in fleeing to the Dai region, where he proclaimed himself King of Dai and continued resisting Qin rule for another six years. This episode—briefly mentioned in historical records—has long gone unnoticed by later generations, yet it deeply captured my attention.Prince Jia was originally the crown prince of Zhao, eldest son of King Daoxiang and elder brother of King Qian. However, due to the king’s favoritism toward a consort, Jia was deposed in favor of his younger brother. Thus, he fell from grace.Prince Jia’s life reminds me of Faramir from The Lord of the Rings—the noble but overlooked son of Denethor II—as well as Fusu, the eldest son of Qin Shi Huang. Their hatred for Qin was no less intense than the feelings modern people might have toward historical invaders. Yet Zhao, gravely weakened by the Changping disaster, could not withstand Qin's advance. With Handan lost and their king captured, the people who fled to Dai were not only unable to avenge their losses but also faced utter despair, on the verge of total destruction.Such was the context of suffering and defiance that gave rise to Jia & Li: The B...
