Controllers & Steering Wheels: Experience driving in a whole new way.
Tuning & Liberty Update: Let's keep a little mystery around this one.
New Vehicles Update: More vehicle models are on the way!
HIT THE ROAD
You hit the road with whatever you've got. A vehicle, a few supplies, and a world that isn't waiting for you. The landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see: the terrain is unpredictable, the wilderness untamed, and every building you encounter may be an opportunity... or a problem. The world changes, the conditions evolve, and nothing guarantees that the road ahead will be any kinder than the one behind you.
BUILD YOUR PERFECT VEHICLE
Your vehicle is your only true ally. You improve it, but sometimes you push it too far. Fortunately, your garage is there to make the journey easier by storing all the discoveries you've made along the way. Now it's up to you to complete and personalize it. Choose its suspension, paint color, wheel size, and more.
AN UNPREDICTABLE ADVENTURE
In this world, you'll encounter speed bumps that can send you to the moon, zombies hungry for your fresh brain, and aliens ready to abduct you if you dare make contact. Every building may reward you with the parts you're searching for, but some might simply be empty... at best.
SOLO OR WITH FRIENDS
You can cross the desert alone with your car, a few plushies, and your favorite traffic cone. Or you can team up with your friends, with support for up to 4 players. Whether everyone drives their own vehicle or you all pile into the same one, the adventure becomes something entirely different.

WHY PLAY NOW?
Drive Beyond Horizons is currently in Early Access, which means you can help shape its future alongside the community through feedback, bug reports, and upcoming features. Please keep in mind that optimization issues and bugs may still occur, but we're doing everything we can to continuously improve the experience for our players.

Patch Note: Meet the Froggy! (New Car)
Introducing The FroggyDrivers, today we're welcoming a brand-new car to Drive Beyond Horizons: the Froggy.Based on a legendary French car, this little beauty joins the Drive Beyond Horizons collection as a 1:1 reproduction. You can now find and rebuild it in-game, but be careful, it hides a secret! As soon as the car reaches a 15° angle, it stays balanced on two wheels. Yes, you read that right. It's time to introduce two-wheel driving to Drive Beyond Horizons — well, almost haha. How long will it take you to complete it? Let's find out!New Module: AutopilotWe're also introducing a brand-new module: the Autopilot.Once activated, your car will drive itself while following the road. This module is primarily aimed at content creators who want to take a break from the gameplay to talk to their audience, but it can also be useful for anyone who needs a quick break to pee — just avoid doing it DBH style, aim well. The module can be found in the world and attached to the roof of your car. Once activated with B, the car locks itself to a set speed and slows down when approaching corners. Think of it as very defensive driving. For the more adventurous drivers, however, there's also a "Good Luck" mode. It lets you go faster, but you'll be on your own — poles and bumpers are still your worst enemies hahaha. Yes, it makes me laugh a lot.Steam CommunityWe saw your messages, and we understand that some of you would rather stay on Steam without joining us on Discord or Reddit. We'd love to offer you the same experience here, but Steam currently lacks some of the tools that make this easier (such as voting systems, flexible Markdown, easy file sharing...).Still, we can at least make sure you have access to the same information as our players on Discord and Reddit. That's why we've opened an Official News Feed.Don't forget to follow it and check it whenever we post something new!And we're also making it easier to contribute directly from the game.In-Game Bug ReportingWe've developed a ne...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lag)AnnouncementsOfficial
Under The Hood #5 – Behind the New Branding
Dear Drivers,A few months ago, we refreshed the visual identity of Drive Beyond Horizons. This included a brand-new logo, a complete overhaul of our Steam page visuals, updated marketing assets, and a more consistent visual identity across every platform where the game is presented. We thought it would be interesting to take a step back and highlight the work our artists have done behind the scenes. Today is the perfect opportunity to show you a little more of the creative process behind this redesign.Disclaimer: We'd like to address something we've seen mentioned a few times. Work on the game's visual identity does not slow down development in any way. Artists and graphic designers are not the people programming gameplay features, fixing bugs, or developing new content. Updating the game's branding happens in parallel with development and doesn't take resources away from it.A New Logo for Drive Beyond HorizonsAfter more than a year with our previous logo, we had naturally grown attached to it. It represented the game well during its early stages, but over time it became clear that it no longer met all of our needs. While it looked good in certain situations, it hadn't originally been designed to work consistently across every medium. Effects such as the glow and the large number of colors often reduced its readability depending on where it was displayed, whether on Steam, social media, thumbnails, or smaller formats. Our objective wasn't to reinvent the identity of the game, but to refine it and make it more durable. To achieve this, we established a few key goals:Preserve the overall atmosphere and personality of Drive Beyond Horizons.Stay recognizable and avoid moving too far away from the original logo.Improve readability across all sizes and marketing materials.Create a complete family of logo variations that remain instantly recognizable. This redesign wasn't limited to the main logo. We also revisited the icon, created multiple logo variations, and redesigned all ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lag)AnnouncementsOfficial
Q&A - NEW VEHICLES
Hello Drivers,During our latest Patch Note introducing the new vehicles, we talked in depth about the process we go through to create and add new cars to the game. Your feedback on that topic was incredibly positive, and we're really glad you enjoyed learning more about it!To keep that momentum going, we organized a Q&A session on Discord and Reddit to collect your questions about vehicle creation and the development process.Today, we're answering them! We hope you'll enjoy this format, and if you do, we'll try to organize more Q&A sessions like this in the future.Q: How do you guys decide what cars to add into the game? There are tons of cars in the suggestions channelThibault: Our vehicle list is heavily inspired by community suggestions. From there, we discuss which vehicles would bring the most value to the game. We want to offer something for every taste and every playstyle. We actually covered this process in more detail in our latest Patch Note if you'd like to learn more.Q: How do you manage to put your own spin on the cars, yet it remains so clear what brand they are? Like with the Speedle, it doesn't look like a Beetle at all, but you can still see that it comes from a Beetle (stickers would be nice if they could be applied, and tintable windows).Anthony: During the concept phase, we do our best to preserve the design language of every vehicle we take inspiration from. With the Speedle, for example, we wanted to capture what made its real-world counterpart so iconic by making sure its rounded silhouette would immediately stand out. From there, we carefully redesign the details to differentiate it from the original vehicle without straying too far from what made it recognizable. Our goal is for every vehicle to feel inspired by a specific brand or era, capturing what made it memorable without feeling like a direct copy.Q: Why do you change art style of a cars? Just to avoid copyright or it was planned from start?Thibault: Basically, yes. We received warnings...Read full article on Community Announcements (Lag)Patch NotesOfficial

This is a normal part of development, and your feedback plays a key role in helping us improve the experience. That said, some early technical decisions led to challenges we hadn’t fully anticipated. As a reminder, part of the team is still actively supporting the current public and beta versions of the game, bringing updates, content, and optimizations, while another part is working in parallel on rebuilding core systems. This includes developing a new version of the game from scratch using Unreal Engine 5.7 (or later). We’ll transition to this new version once it meets our quality standards. More details will be shared in a dedicated update.FixesFixed an issue where analog stick controls could be inverted by default.Improved steering wheel support by reducing cases where the in-game steering wheel animation did not match the position of the physical wheel.Added a temporary readability improvement to the Part Scanner.Fixed the C18 handbrake being incorrectly marked as a non-original part after installation.Fixed an issue where the Escada rear quarter windows were no longer detected by the Part Scanner and were missing from the garage and shop.Fixed an extra part being counted toward the Poyopa collection.Fixed incorrect steering wheel orientation on the Kage, Tomahawk, Loft, P-51, and Peak.Fixed an issue where Escada parts could not be transferred to the main garage.Fixed incorrect completion progress being displayed for the Triclops.Fixed the Loft interior lights not being counted as original parts.Fixed the original part count for all vehicles.
