About this game
DISCLAIMER: All media on this page is subject to change; visuals for the game are still in the works.
You find yourself in an odd building that seems to go on forever; the rooms of the building vary in theme, going from industrial storage rooms and halls to retro mall wings and arcades.
In the building, you may encounter other beings that aren't just other people. These beings may not all communicate or display any real signs of thought or intelligence, but they all seem to be aware of a couple things. They don't know where they are, they don't know how they got there, and they're scared.
I'm Not Scared is a multiplayer roguelike horror game that incorporates psychological horror and is heavy on worldbuilding and exploration. Navigate the vast building with your friends as you explore various environments, encounter the beings that reside within the building, and save them.
After each successful round of the game, various elements are introduced that stir up the gameplay; higher enemy quantity and aggression, random gameplay modifiers, and larger maps.
Here are a few other things the world of I'm Not Scared has to offer:
Explore a new massive procedural generated map every round
Play alone and experience the vast emptiness and mystery of the building, or venture the place with others
Talk (or scream) with your friends via proximity chat
Discover unseen rooms and areas, learn about world and the beings inside of the building
Find out why you can't escape.
More info will come shortly- thank you for visiting the page!

Progress Update
Hey everyone, First of all, I want to apologize for the HUGE gap between updates for this game, I've been hard at work but it's been difficult picking out things to show for the game. What's been going on?In October of 2025, I started a giant programming overhaul for the game; this just means recoding lots of gameplay so it's easier to add onto systems after their initial creation. This includes making more items, enemies, rooms, modifiers, settings, and lots more. I actually finished this reprogramming a couple of months ago, and tons of progress has been made!More specifically, some of the newer things that have been worked on are the modifiers, improved level generation, improved player controller and other things related to the primary gameplay loop. I've updated the screenshots on the game page since they were INCREDIBLY outdated, even though they won't be final; I've also been working on a bit of a room model and texture rework. Hopefully I get to talk about much more and show much more in whatever videos on the game I get to make next. That's about all I can talk about for now, if you would like for more updates or to ask me questions about the game personally, you can join the game's Discord server! Before I end off this post, I wanted to thank you all for 2,000+ wishlists on the game!, though it's technically closer to 1,800 since lots of people have unwishlisted, sorry again for the lack of updates. Thank you guys again for your support and patience, stay tuned for more.-Hunter AllenRead full article on Community Announcements (Hunter Allen)AnnouncementsOfficial
Getting closer to launch!
Hey everyone! It's been a bit since my last update. However, I have some pretty exciting news for y'all. As you can see by the title, the game is approaching its release! What's been being worked on?Since my last post, the main gameplay loop has been finished! You can complete the main objectives, collect items, die to enemies, and more. The only other parts of the gameplay that need to be finished up are some enemies, items, achievements, and the modifiers part of the game; I'll get into what those modifiers are in a future post or YouTube video. Aside from these, all that's left for the game are some additions to the settings menu, some touch-ups to the main menu, and overall polishing. I'm super excited to launch this game (hopefully next month), and thank you all for your support so far; the game has received nearly 800 wishlists!Since I haven't had much to show since I'd like to keep it all a surprise for the next YouTube devlog on the game and pre-launch/launch trailers, here's a little look at the game's safe room/lobby!Until next time,-Hunter AllenRead full article on Community Announcements (Hunter Allen)Patch NotesOfficial
Quick Update on Development
Hey everyone, this is the first news/event post on the page! Before I go over this post, thank you all for 500 wishlists! I wasn't expecting to get that many before the first trailer of the game, so thank you all again! Why do the game page screenshots look blurry? While taking screenshots for the game page, I hadn't realized how blurry the screenshots would end up looking. During most of development, I have had a post processing layer that replicates some VHS/CRT effects, one of which being stretching (blurring). I didn't turn this off for the screenshots, hence the blurriness; I will be adding a slider for this and many other effects in game so both people who like the effect and don't like it can be happy. I plan on updating this game page to have quite a few more screenshots within the next month or so, so keep an eye out for a page graphics update coming soon! What is being worked on currently? As of this post being made, the main two things that have been in progress are the environments, programming for the main gameplay loop, and bug fixes before the next major alpha testing build. That's all I have to share for now, since I want to keep a good chunk of stuff secret for when the game's pre-release trailer drops. Again, thank you guys for your support and patience!-Hunter AllenRead full article on Community Announcements (Hunter Allen)
