About this game
If you want to gather food, you'll have to search various houses all across the country. When entering a house, be cautious of other dangers. Pay close attention to what you eat and drink, as consuming tainted food can be fatal. Instances have occurred where people accidentally ingested ethyl alcohol, thinking it was water.
When you run out of food in regular conditions, you'll need to resort to hunting. I understand it's tough to pull the trigger in such a situation, but right now, it's the law of the jungle - either you hunt or be hunted.
If you're wondering what happened to people, they transformed into a different kind of creature long ago. These creatures have a strong desire to kill anything that lives. You must be cautious of them as they can swiftly end your life.
However, there are people who fled cities and villages. They armed themselves and established their camps and bases. As I've heard, they even took control of an entire village in the north of the country. You must watch out for them, as they possess a significant number of powerful firearms, in addition to melee weapons. A bullet from them can cause a wound that's difficult to heal, depending on its destructive power.
All in all, there seems to be no end in sight to this situation. Hence, you must heed some advice:
- Prioritize acquiring essential items: food, water, some form of weaponry, even an axe.
- If you manage to survive for an extended period, establish a secure base. Ensure it's sturdy because unwanted creatures entering your base can spell significant trouble.
- Gather everything you can lay your hands on, as you'll need it.
- Hunt only as much as needed for sustenance, not for pleasure.
- Ammunition is highly valuable; safeguard it. Producing ammunition is challenging, but it can be invaluable for escape or self-defense.
- When confronting bandits, always carry a bomb, just in case.
- Try to restore a semblance of normalcy to your life, even if only for yourself.
Stay cautious at night, as they are active both day and night, and they are consistently aggressive.
With that, I wish you the best of luck and welcome you to the Infection Crisis.

END OF DEVELOPMENT
Hello Survivors,Today, I have some unfortunate news to share. Infection Crisis has reached its end. The development of the game will not continue. There have simply been too many obstacles: the amount of time required to work on the project, countless programming and code-related issues, numerous problems with the engine itself, and, as the final blow, the game files became corrupted a few days ago. The entire project would have to be rebuilt from scratch. Unfortunately, my current circumstances do not allow me to take on such a massive task again. At this moment, it is impossible for me to continue development or repair the project. It is extremely difficult for me to write this because four years of hard work, dedication, and effort have essentially been lost. The Supporter DLC will be removed in the near future. I would like to thank the one person who purchased it while it was on sale. If I am able to find out who it was, I will make sure to fulfill my part of the promise. I would also like to thank everyone who played, tested, and shared their honest feedback about the game. Thank you to the YouTubers who covered the project, and thank you to the players who joined multiplayer sessions, helping us discover many multiplayer-related issues that were planned to be fixed over time. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who supported me and followed my journey throughout these years. Unfortunately, as with everything related to this project, I was working completely alone. Because of that, many things were constantly delayed: marketing, TikTok, Instagram, the website, YouTube devlogs, screenshots, Discord updates, and nearly everything else that should have been updated regularly. I truly love game development. However, the time I once had available, 8 to 12 hours a day in front of the computer, is no longer there. Today, I can dedicate only 1 to 3 hours per day at most. I currently work two jobs, so I hope you can understand why continuing development has become i...Read full article on Community Announcements (BJS Studio Serbia)AnnouncementsOfficial
GOOD NEWS !
Hello everyone, Today, I can confirm that Infection Crisis is back in development. The issues like animations, engine changes, and similar problems have been resolved. You can check out the progress on animations on the YouTube channel, where there will be plenty of development videos about Infection Crisis. As promised, I’m continuing to work on everything. I’m still working on the entire project alone, so things will move slower. But the important thing is that updates will come, and the game will shine in a new light. When the update arrives, if I feel it aligns with my original vision, the game will leave Early Access. Unfortunately, Co-op will probably be removed — but it might be added later. I don’t want to confirm anything, so I’ll say: maybe Co-op will come later. Thank you to everyone who stuck around during this tough period for Infection Crisis, and of course, to those who bought the game. I’m continuing to work on it — follow the Discord and YouTube channel for more updates about development. Best regards! Bad news....
Hello everyone, I want to reach out to all of you who have purchased or supported Infection Crisis. I need to inform you that the game is facing serious issues, and development may most likely not continue. Main Issues The biggest challenge has been animations for weapons, items, and all other holdable objects. Each weapon was supposed to have its own unique animation, and I managed to achieve great results. However, the engine required something different, and for reasons I still don’t fully understand, everything moves up to the wrist, but the hands do not respond to animations. If all customization options for the weapon are disabled, the animations work, but then nothing functions properly—everything breaks, animations glitch, and sometimes the engine even crashes. Additionally, Unreal Engine has been quite buggy, constantly breaking structures and causing issues with game packaging. When this happens, the entire game needs to be rebuilt from scratch. It’s not that I don’t want or don't love working on the game again, but after nine complete rebuilds of Infection Crisis, I simply don’t have the strength to start over once more. The animation issues have completely drained me. An insane amount of time has been invested, only for everything to fall apart due to a single engine crash... Despite the struggle, working on this game for the past three and a half years has been an incredible experience that I will never forget. So many great people have followed my work, and I want to thank each and every one of you. Your support has been my greatest motivation during difficult times. I hope you understand—I simply don’t want to release a half-finished product or something that only resembles a proper game. Of course, my game was never going to be at the level of a full team of professionals, but I also refuse to release something pretending to be good when it’s actually terrible. What’s Next? This is not a final farewell or an official end to development. I just need t...Read full article on Community Announcements (BJS Studio Serbia)Patch NotesOfficial
Important Announcement for the Upcoming Update
Hello everyone, I wanted to reach out and let you know that we are still hard at work on the new update. The game isn't dead, haha. To be honest, it never really took off, but we're still working on it. Some of the new features coming with the update will be almost as significant as when Apple releases a new iOS update. But that's not important right now. What I want to talk about today is that the new update will bring a completely redesigned world, so you'll be able to enjoy new landscapes and a much richer map. I'm planning maps that are 4x4 km in size, featuring massive mountains, each with its own unique features. But that's a topic for another day, as the initial budget for something like that is around €800, which is currently out of reach for me. But we're making do with what we have, haha. The next big change with the update is the complete removal of the third-person view. The game will now be entirely first-person. Why is that, and will it ever return in the future? The primary reason is that first-person animations are much easier to create—you only work with two hands. In contrast, with third-person, you have to coordinate the entire body with the first-person perspective, weapons, items, and so on. Under all possible conditions, you'll be able to hold EVERY item in the game in your hands. Of course, this is also a massive undertaking because we currently have 194 items in the game, and the plan is to have around 250-300. The game is going to be quite complex, but that's the goal. There will be an online guide and an in-game tutorial to help you out. Why am I planning to make it so complicated? Simply because I want this game to stand out from EVERY other survival game out there. Most survival games are relatively easy; survival is just about not dying from hunger, thirst, and AI. The AI will also be getting improvements, with new zombie sounds. They will only spot you up close but will react to noise, so you'll have to be careful about how you use your...Read full article on Community Announcements (BJS Studio Serbia)Patch NotesOfficial
Announcement for the new big update for Infection Crisis.
Hello everyone! Today, I want to address you after a long time. As you know, one of the major updates of this year has been announced. Unfortunately, agriculture will come a bit later. If there are any changes, you will be informed. Since I've finished everything related to characters, and everything is as it should be in the mechanical world of the game for now, I've started working on the map. I want to beautify it and make it look the way it should. The map is a very complex part of the game, but of course, I manage to put some things together. I want players to truly feel the pleasure of the game when they literally walk around the map and explore the surroundings. Many things have been changed, so we will go through each item individually with screenshots directly from the engine. The map is only 20% complete, for the simple reason that details are crucial on the map. Of course, everything you see is subject to change, in terms of adding more details and surrounding elements. Forests One of the biggest changes has been made to the forests. Let's start with the new trees, which aren't the best thing that could have happened, but for now, they're okay. They look very nice during gameplay, and they will look even better once everything is set in place. Regarding the placement of trees and their positioning on the map, each tree will be MANUALLY placed on the map. I also want to mention that there may be, but not necessarily, new mechanics for tree cutting. However, this is all in the development stages and everything is uncertain. In the forests, you can find areas with berries, bushes, and probably some other plants that you can collect in the forests. I want to create mushrooms that you can eat. Of course, there will be poisonous ones as well as edible ones. The grass and vegetation have been altered, especially designed for forests, as the grass in the forest and on the meadow are not the same as in real life. Fallen branches and similar things have been added....Read full article on Community Announcements (BJS Studio Serbia)
