Devlog #2 – The Road To Release Begins…
Hi everyone, We made a lot of progress in January, so we wanted to check in with an update on your favourite finger-firin’ fast-paced roguelike FPS – and how you can help play a role in shaping what it becomes by launch.Where We’re AtWe’ve been working on Psychofinger in one form or another for quite a while, but the full production only really kicked into gear last year. We’ve made a lot of progress since then, as you’ve probably seen from our little teasers on Twitter. Here’s what we accomplished in 2025:Refined the core gameplay loop and overall structure, distilling Psychofinger into something fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping, and deeply replayablePolished UI elements to ensure you always know what’s happening amid the chaosReworked our approach to level design, crafting bigger and better arenas where you can unleash your fingertips' fury(You can read more detail in our previous devlog) What’s Coming Next 2026 is going to be a huge year for Psychofinge!. We’re aiming to:👉 Release a playtest to help point out any areas we can improve on🤲 Launch a public demo for hands on experience👍 Get the thumbs up on a full launch by the end of the yearWe certainly won’t be rushing into this, of course. We want to ensure Psychofinger is the best it can be before release, rather than hastily putting out an unfinished project. And we’ll be keeping you updated here on Steam throughout the journey. Here’s the current roadmap… Step 1: Nail down the DifficultyRight now, our focus is on getting the difficulty right. We don’t want this to be so easy that it’s not fun, but neither do we want it to be so difficult that you don’t feel like an unstoppable killing force unleashing death from your fingertips. This means a lot of internal playtesting, balancing and iteration. We’re not going to hold a public playtesting just yet, as we’ve already identified some key changes we want to make first.Step 2: The PlaytestOnce we’re confident our vision for the game is coming across, we will launch a ...Read full article on Community Announcements (BanJamUK)AnnouncementsOfficial
Devlog #1.5 – 2025 Year In Review: Story, Shops & Stairs
Hello everyone, it’s been a while (well, unless you follow us on Twitter, of course). We’ve been hard at work on Psychofinger all year, and the game is coming along nicely. We’ll be ramping up our updates here in the New Year, bringing you the latest juicy behind-the-scenes developments as we build up to launch. But before we run out of 2025, we wanted to give you a look at what we’ve been up to.Among the biggest changes and additions we’ve made this year, we have:1) Changed healing system and added one-time use gestures from vending machinesCollect snacks to replenish your health. Also, a well-timed shot at one of our gesture machines can give you an instant advantage in battle, whether it’s sucking up all the souls in the vicinity, deploying the heart-hand shield, or freezing enemies in place. This should help you deal with those swarms.2) Improved level design Including stairs. Stairs to other floors. Trust us - this sort of incredible innovation will definitely catch on. 3) Added new enemies and locations Variety is the spice of life, especially when it comes to killing and where you’re doing the killing. Thankfully, our art style allows us to bring a great deal of variety into the game and we’ve had a lot of fun coming up with more bizarre characters for you to point to death.4) Added shop and updated all UI elements During runs, you can collect money dropped by defeated enemies and spend it in our brand new Shop menu for permanent upgrades. Increase your health, damage, speed, and other aspects to improve your chances or survival. Or just hoard that cash and keep taking on the metaphysical masses as best you can. Up to you. 5) Started working on story cutscenesWe decided that reworking the level and boss design wasn’t adding enough feature creep to our development, so we started to work on animated short cutscenes that will add more context to what’s happening on screen. Hopefully, 90% of players won’t skip immediately and our work will be worth it! All of the ...Read full article on Community Announcements (BanJamUK)AnnouncementsOfficial

Devlog #1 - New look, Old Fingers
Hey everyone! In the last post, we promised to update the look of the game, and now it's time to report on it. Level Redesign We finished redesigning the level and are really happy with the results. Everything looks like a hand drawn picture, and the difference between 3D and 2D elements is barely visible. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/6aef40d8a9834ebaaf1608cc5f3432599030fe58.jpg {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/0257f1f6d1f20ca838709740cd7bbb7360bc485c.png Hand redesign, new Weapons and animations The hand was also changed, now it has all 5 fingers! It allows us to make each weapon distinct from each other. And with the help of talented animator, we managed to make animations better and much more interesting! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/9f7af3aa5f27eed1b3aeca3ba453d2516ac9fee3.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/997a1f27f35bad05f5e6faa52a33f12b0d530f7d.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/63a0b850e3406239976b66f4f729b5bde9f5b1bd.gif (some work in progress animation for a weapon) New enemies, levels and bosses We started working on a second level for the game: an abandoned circus! It will be bigger to include larger amount of enemies (bigger in sizes too) and allow you to use movement mechanics more freely. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44711509/1632b4cec0ae2f48b12dbc1d84e76d9da9d84c16.png Right now, we've made walls and small decorations for it, but in the upcoming weeks it will receive a lot of new decorations and enemies. Want to see all the changes in action? Check out our Steam Store page! We made a new trailer with a new track, and it includes all the changes + some more stuff: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2617870/PSYCHOFINGER/ Thank you for sticking with us!
