A New Miss Peacock DLC coming soon

Hello, everyone! We are pleased to officially reveal a brand-new DLC for Miss Peacock, and it has also been installed in version 1.7.3.The story of this DLC draws inspiration from a real personal account. The narrator’s father once worked for a Sino-French joint venture. Between 1929 and 1930, company employees and their families traveled from China to Vietnam, living in places including Saigon, Bích Dao Động, and Yên Bái.At first, these recollections seem like fragments of an ordinary childhood: cottages with mud walls and thatched roofs, moss-covered mountain paths, fishing and hunting trips, trucks carrying children through the countryside, a newly built school near the mines, and an unfamiliar period of life in a welfare institution. But as the memories unfold, more and more unexplained details begin to emerge:Why did the former head of the household insist on reaching a Chinese family’s residence after being injured, only to die along the way? What was the mysterious Vietnamese woman who succeeded her really looking for? What connected the mines, the welfare institution, and the growing unrest in the region? What exactly happened to the narrator’s father during his time in Yên Bái?Why did the company suddenly evacuate, and what did more than 3,000 employees and their families leave behind? In this DLC, real history and fictional narrative will intertwine. Players will enter a story buried for nearly a century and attempt to reconstruct what truly happened through fragments of family memory, local folklore, and traces left behind by a turbulent era.The everyday moments that survived in memory may be concealing the secrets no one wished to speak of.Thank you, as always, for your continued interest and support.

Miss Peacock v1.6.0: Smoother controller play

Hello everyone, and thank you for continuing to support Miss Peacock.v1.6.0 is mainly about playability and platform experience. It does not change the main story content, but it should make menus, exploration, saving, and dialogue controls feel smoother, especially if you play with a controller, keyboard, or Steam Deck.1. More reliable controller and keyboard navigationWe revisited the focus behavior across several screens, including the main menu, secondary menus, settings, save/load, collection, research, and the study room. When using a controller or keyboard, menus should now select default buttons more reliably. Returning from a sub-menu is also less likely to leave you wondering where the current selection went. Moving up and down, confirming, and backing out should feel closer to a familiar console or handheld experience.2. Better controller support for the exploration mapThe exploration map now supports more natural location selection with a controller. If you prefer playing from the couch, on Steam Deck, or with a gamepad, choosing and confirming places should feel smoother after this update. We also improved focus recovery around these screens, reducing cases where navigation could feel interrupted after returning from another view.3. Save, collection, and research screens are easier to useWe improved navigation for save slots, collection categories, music entries, achievements, death records, endings, item pages, and the research screen. In practical terms: more buttons can now be selected correctly, list movement is more stable, and mouse hover states are more consistent with controller selection. For players who often revisit records, endings, items, or music, these small fixes should make the interface easier to live with.4. Updated dialogue control iconsWe redrew and unified a set of hand-drawn icons in the dialogue control bar, including auto, close, favorite, load, log, menu, fast-forward, save, settings, and skip. The goal is to make the dialogue UI b...

Miss Peacock v1.5.5 & v1.5.6: Controller polish and improved DLC entries

\ These two updates focus on controller support, DLC entries, and story-flow stability: 1. Controller & keyboard navigation We fixed focus navigation across several screens, including the main menu, pause menu, settings, save/load, audio settings, and research UI. Menus now select their default buttons more reliably when using a controller or keyboard, and focus is less likely to get lost when returning from another screen. The +/- buttons in the research screen can now be focused properly as well, so controller navigation will no longer skip them. We also added more controller button, D-pad, and left-stick mappings, and integrated Kenney Input Prompts assets as groundwork for future input prompt polish. 2. DLC entries The main menu now includes improved entries for two DLC items: - Art Book- Design Book Clicking these buttons opens the local PDF directly. In v1.5.6, we added local file detection: each button only appears when the corresponding PDF is actually present. If a player has not installed the DLC, the main menu will no longer show an empty entry. Both the Art Book and Design Book also support multiple filename candidates, including Chinese and English filename variants, improving compatibility across platforms and install paths. 3. Main menu focus improvements Because DLC buttons can now appear or disappear depending on local files, we also adjusted main menu focus navigation. Keyboard and controller navigation now automatically skips hidden buttons, so menu cycling will not land on invisible entries. 4. Story & Dialogic fixes Fixed a capitalization mismatch with the miqilin switch in temple_02, which could previously prevent ending_03 from triggering correctly. The related ending route should now work as intended. We also updated the Dialogic plugin to keep story timelines and character resources compatible. 5. Localization Added localized text for the new Design Book menu button across the currently supported languages. The Art Book button text has also ...
