About the Game

Mostroscopy is a fighting video game that takes up the aesthetics of the horror and Luchador films of Mexican cinema from the 1950s, with an eclectic roster of monsters and masked Luchadores and a simple gameplay style with a retro presentation.

Each fighter has their own attacks, but they use a simplified command system inspired by Smash Bros and Street Fighter x Tekken.
Each fighter has 3 basic moves, the normal attack, a special attack and a guard button.
That doesn't stop you from making very satisfying combos!

The Fighter Roster includes Masked Luchadores, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts, Mummies, primal monsters... and more are on the way!

- Mostroscopy includes the classic arcade mode where you can face the final boss and know the fate of each of your fighters
- Versus mode for two players in local mode
- Online mode (With random matchs, and custom rooms)
- Challenge mode where you can perform different combos with each character
- Training mode to practice your most creative combos.
- Anaglyph 3D mode for that satisfying retro effect. (3D glasses not included)

Countdown to the consoles updates!
Good afternoon, everyone! We have finally achieved something we set out to do last year: bringing DLC content to home consoles! The game update arrives on August 31, along with the option to purchase the character pack as DLC on Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch; for this reason, we have discounted Season Pass 2 here on Steam for one week.Like any new project, Mostroscopy has brought a number of challenges and new things to learn—specifically, the task of consistently releasing new content over the years (we’re hitting our 3rd anniversary in just a couple of months!) and finding ways to monetize that content. Now that we’ve mastered content creation across all platforms, we’re moving forward with a new Season Pass; we aim to make the releases as simultaneous as possible across all platforms. This means Rosa will also be coming to consoles, alongside the first character from the new Season Pass :)We can also reveal that a new guest character will be joining the game as free content—regardless of the other updates—so keep an eye out for that, too!Thank you so much for your continued support of Mostroscopy and for your great patience :)Read full article on Community Announcements (Strider Spinel)AnnouncementsOfficial
¡Creepy Creepy Love x Mostroscopy is here!
Good evening, it's exactly midnight on June 25, 2026 here in Mexico, and that means one thing: ROSA AKUMA HAS ARRIVED AT MOSTROSCOPY!Rosa Akuma from Creepy Creepy Love has joined the game's roster as a guest character. However, she arrived in the world of Mostroscopy in a mysterious way—she fell from her universe into this one... how is that possible? You'll have to play Creepy Creepy Love to find out, since Luzbelle is also a guest character in that game! Here's the amazing artwork by Galvanic Animal! This crossover has been months in the making, and we've poured our hearts into making it truly epic!I can't wait to go play with Luzbelle in Creepy Creepy Love!Wow! New character selection slots have also appeared on the fighter screen...We hope to share news about what we've been working on these past months very soon!We hope you enjoy Rosa as a new fighter for all Mostroscopy players, and stay tuned for the game's future!Thank you very much, and enjoy your summer!Read full article on Community Announcements (Strider Spinel)AnnouncementsOfficial

¿More Mostroscopy in 2026?
Good afternoon everyone, it's Sunday afternoon, at least here in Mexico, and I wanted to post an update here on Steam about what we're doing at OribeWare Games regarding Mostroscopy.Just in the first week of the year, we released the final character of the Year 2 Season Pass, Tachiko Kikuchi, after a year of bimonthly character updates. This was our first paid DLC add-on for one of our games, so it was a revolutionary step for us.Also, last year we released Mostroscopy on consoles, which is also new, as we had previously only managed to release Combate Monero on PlayStation, after a process that began in 2024 with the help of Seashell Studios. We apologize for the delay in updating the console versions of Mostroscopy to include the DLC characters. We are still working on it and believe we now have a clearer path forward. These updates will also address the balance and bugs affecting these versions. On another note, we are working on the third issue of the Mostroscopy comic, which we normally sell at conventions here in Mexico. The first issue is also available as DLC on Steam, and we are currently translating the second issue into English.Yes, we are planning more content for the game, but we want to fix the console version first before formally announcing it.We want to thank you for your support of the project over these past two years, making it by far our most successful title!Without you, we wouldn't be planning to expand the game even further. Please don't despair, and we'll have more news for you soon.Thank you!Read full article on Community Announcements (Strider Spinel)AnnouncementsOfficial
Tachiko Kikuchi available now!
Good evening everyone... it's almost midnight here in Mexico, but as in many other parts of the world it's already January 9th I want to tell you that we have already released Tachiko Kikuchi in the game update and her store is now online in case you want to buy her separately. With the release of Tachiko, the year 2 season pass comes to an end, which we, the team, decided on and discussed back in November 2024... a little over a year later, what seemed like an ambitious proposal was achieved, and on time!, and I am very grateful for that, since the support of Mostroscopy in sales and some events here in Mexico has allowed me to give it the necessary time to take shape properly.I hope you enjoy playing as Tachiko and playing her story... the Japanese translation will arrive a little later, but it will definitely arrive! In the meantime, we'll check for bugs and keep updating the game. We're also working on bringing the Season Pass characters to consoles. We apologize for the delay, but it's new territory for us. We believe we're getting close. We're also looking into whether we can improve the netcode with rollbacks so you can enjoy better online battles.so, we beg the ask... would you like more?Read full article on Community Announcements (Strider Spinel)
