Patch 2026.07.01: Summer Mega-Update Pt. 1
Hi everyone,Thank you so much for your patience with this update! This is far and away our biggest update ever. We've gotten so much done in the last few months, and we can't wait for you to see it.Here are some of the key features included in this update: Chess & PokerOne thing we've been wanting to do for a very long time is to start adding various minigames into LAN Party. We decided to use chess as a testing ground to build the framework for a minigame system, and when that went so well we decided to add Texas Hold'em as well! Both of these games can be played with friends or with bots, and Texas Hold'em supports up to 8 players per table. You can have several chess boards or poker tables in the room at once, so you can have multiple games being played simultaneously. We're interested in adding more games in the near future, so let us know what you'd like to see!VRoid IntegrationSince Ready Player Me shut down in February, we've been looking for a new avatar system to integrate into LAN Party, and we believe VRoid is a perfect fit. VRoid has a massive library of avatars with fully rigged physics and facial expressions, and we've given you full control over your VRoid avatar's physics and facial settings in the new VRoid menu. If you want to use a VRoid avatar, just click the link in the VRoid section of the Marketplace to authorize with your VRoid account. It may say that our application is "untrusted" at the moment since we still need full approval from the VRoid team, which we can only get once VRoid integration is in the live build. Now that it is, we should hopefully be getting approval rather soon, and much more of the VRoid avatar library will be available in LAN Party!New Streaming SystemWe've also implemented an entirely new streaming backend. Our previous system was solid, but suffered from performance issues and didn't have a lot of options. We even heard from several players who would have their game crash anytime they tried to stream. Our new system is ...Read full article on Community Announcements (lan_party_dev)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 2026.04.1: Image-to-Model
Hi everyone,This update took a bit longer than expected, but trust me this is a really fun one. The main focus of this update was image-to-model, and its something I've already spent hours playing around with. This tool allows you to bring in any image and create a fully textured 3D model with a click of a button! We've been really pleased with our test results, and we've found that the output quality is much better than text-to-model. Any model that you create can be configured as any type of asset as well. Here are some examples of a few models I created today:And here's what they look like in-room:We have noticed that as the output quality improves, the models take longer to generate. Previously, you would have to just sit and wait in the asset importer until the model was finished. To fix this, we implemented a persistent task queue that will execute the generation tasks in the background, meaning you can leave the importer and come back to import your generated models. It will also save all of your previous generations as well, so you can switch between models in the importer at any time. In addition, premium users can have up to 5 models generating at the same time, which I've used a lot to generate using the same image several times at once and then pick the best one at the end.We hope you enjoy this new feature as much as we have! We've got several other features and improvements that are nearing completion (controller support, revamped text chat, automatic avatar rigging), as well as several improvements and bug fixes, so keep your eyes peeled for future updates!Features:Added image-to-model support.Added a persistent queue for model generation tasks.Improvements:Several UI functionality improvements.Fixes:Fixed issue where if the first person to start streaming in a room did not stream to a screen, other players in the room would not get their stream until they put their stream on a screen.Fixed issue where generated models could have gargantuan file sizes.F...Read full article on Community Announcements (lan_party_dev)Patch NotesOfficial

Patch 2026.01.1: Major Update and 50k Players!
Hi everyone,Sorry for the wait! We apologize that this update took forever to come out. We've been working on a major rewrite/refactor of our codebase and a migration of our asset database, which ended up being a pretty massive effort. We decided that this was something that needed to be done for the health of our codebase/database and improve our ability to add new features and fix bugs without piling on technical debt. We figured that we might as well rip off the band-aid and do it now while we're still in early access and before we hire more devs. All of our fixes and feature additions were built off of this code refactor, so they couldn't go into production until the refactor was finished. After a ton of testing and bug squashing, we're finally ready to push it live! Now that this refactor is finished, I can promise that our update schedule will be MUCH more frequent moving forward. It was quite a challenge to execute the refactor and the new templates system in tandem and get them to play nicely with each other, but since that's finally behind us we have been absolutely flying these past couple of weeks. We're really excited to show you guys what we've been working on!Before that though, I wanted to announced that we surpassed 50k players this past weekend! It brings me so much joy to see how many people are enjoying LAN Party, and we hope to keep making the experience better and better based on your feedback and suggestions. With that out of the way, let's talk about the major features included in this update:Room TemplatesYou will now be able to save a template of any of your rooms. This template will be an exact copy of the room at the moment you save the template. You can load room templates at any time to change your room layout to something completely new or to load a previously saved version of your room. The marketplace has expanded to include room templates as well. You are now able to publish any of your saved templates to the marketplace, as well as add...Read full article on Community Announcements (lan_party_dev)
