About this game

Escapen’t Is My Magnum Opus.
The perfect escape room.
You will never escape it because there is no escape. It is essentially the only escape room you will ever need to play, because you can practically play it forever without getting anywhere.
An Escape Room Like No Other
Every puzzle in my masterpiece is a work of genius (my genius, of course) that will have you scratching your tiny little head. Words, shapes, logic, guns, and triangles - I use only the best contraptions for my tortur-I mean, øh, puzzle design.
You Are Not Alone
My velvety, intellectual voice will caress your ears, a rare treat in itself, truly worth the price of admission.
If you hear any other voices, then it must be something with your head and not someone in the walls.
Endless Puzzles, Endless Fun and no way out
Should you happen to find a vent or open door to enter... uh, ignore them. They are irrelevant to your experience as my unpaid full time escape room enjoyer. There are no-one else here and you don't need to think about what happened to them.

Patch NotesOfficial
Hotfix
Hello people-who-chose-to-be-trapped-voluntarily, There was a weird bug in my immaculate escape room, where loading a checkpoint sometimes disabled your ability to actually end the game. Which left people stuck with no escape in sight. It was beautiful, in its own way. I am sorry for trapping you against your will. Or well, actually, I am not. It's kind of the whole point of the experience. But the bug is now fixed. You can load a checkpoint and still complete the game. You're welcome. More bug fixes and a hint
Hello unpaid interns,After watching even more of you struggle in my escape room, I noticed a few bugs that my employees hadn't fixed yet.Subtitles are now properly synced with voicelines and will always display in proper sequence. The spider buddy is now saved, so it doesn't disappear when reloading the game (why would you want this, spiders are bad and definitely not your friend???)Steam achievements should now always be achieved when conditions are met. A connection bug was the problem, but now - even if you don't have a connection to Steam - the game will save achievements unlocked locally and then sync them as soon as you regain connection to Steam.Make credits skippable. About time. My employees don't need the recognition, only I do.Arachnophobia mode added to options menu, in case you don't want to see any of the damn pests. This is personally my favourite feature so far.Best regards,The Game MasterCEO of Escapen'tRead full article on Community Announcements (jonas.laur)AnnouncementsOfficial
Escapen't Soundtrack
Hello Escape Room Enjoyers,You have probably noticed that my escape room has a lot of music bangers, both ambient and in radios. I am especially proud of that rap, where the rapper says it so succinctly: "Escape! You can't I said!" Brilliant stuff.Anyways, if you want to enjoy the music when you are taking a break from my genius puzzles, then you can listen to the whole soundtrack on Youtube. Follow the link below for the playlist:The soundtrack will also be available for purchase on Steam in a few weeks, if you want the high-quality WAV editions of the track, where even the littlest little itsy-bitsy teenie detail can be heard via your hi-fi audiophilic 'more expensive than a car' speaker setup. You're welcome.Best regards,The Game MasterCEO of Escapen'tRead full article on Community Announcements (jonas.laur)Patch NotesOfficial
Bugfixes and more
Hello captives, After watching some of you struggle in my perfect escape room, I told my slaves - I mean - my unpaid employees to fix some bugs that were making the experience a bit too spider-like. - All idle voicelines now stop after all have been heard, so repeat voicelines don't happen as much. - All idle voicelines now cannot be triggered while reading a note or one of my genius books, so as to not interrupt your reading enjoyment. - Alice has been told to stop yapping so much and to use the voicelines assigned to her, when entering the library. - The Ancient Spider in Nordrejs has also been told to talk with less frequency. - The banger soundtrack while getting chased in tight corridors will now always play. - The monster in the chase is now a bit slower. But not much. - When approaching error messages, you will now be told to punch them - even though that should be obvious, obviously. - A certain huge sword will now not push the player when they parry it. - A certain phase 2 arena will now have railings, so less-skilled players don't fall into the ocean while trying to survive a certain huge-sword-wielding enemy. Obligatory day 1 patch
Hello playtesters, This wouldn't be a game released in 2025 if it didn't have a day 1 patch. So I made my employees wait with fixing these bugs until AFTER we had released the game. - Fixed lightning strike vfx null reference. - Made spiders during a certain encounter on a boat not exist forever. You're welcome. Best regards, The Game Master CEO of Escapen'tRead full article on Community Announcements (jonas.laur)
