24/09/2025 Online Multiplayer is here! (+ Glasgow Indie Games Festival!)
Hey everyone,I've been pretty quiet recently but I've been working hard and finally it's done!Online multiplayer! When I launched Pool 2 last year the number one thing people ask me is "Does it have online multiplayer?" I barely managed to put a game together, honestly coding online multiplayer was way beyond my skill level at the time. But I managed to do it today! (I've been working on this feature since the end of May and had to remake so much of the game to make it work, but it's all worth it!)Glasgow Indie Games FestivalI took part in the Glasgow Indie Games Festival, and it was so fun! It was great to see the indie game scene in Scotland, play games, listen to the live band playing video game music (check out the GGs, they were so good). I even listened to a 20-minute poetry reading about GTA and Rockstar Games!Pool 2 even won a prize at the end for the best in show! Thank you to everyone who played Pool 2, it was amazing to meet you all!Smaller fixesUpdated the table shadow on the Pool 2 tableReplaced the image in the creditsRespawn the black ball if it is sunk when no one touched itPossibly fixed a bug where non-Playstation or non-Xbox controllers are not detectedThat's it for now!Have fun playing against your friends online!FelixRead full article on Community Announcements (Stylesheet Connoisseur)AnnouncementsOfficial
02/06/2025 Steam Leaderboards (+ some old news - Sorting Table, Challenge mode)
Hey everyone, I decided to focus on some single-player content in the recent updates! (For when your friends aren't around) Global Leaderboards + Friend leaderboards When you finish a run in time trials, you can now compare your time to your friends' and the world's! (So basically, tell your friends about this game and see if you can beat their time! Or try and break the world record?) The screenshot above looks a bit weird because I am the only one who has submitted a time, so please help and play some time trials! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44990699/9d9ac77da1a845581353de1ce5bf3f0e39e29fc7.png Old news There were some updates which I have pushed but didn't really introduce previously. Challenge mode This was a mode to see if you can beat the demo, but now I've also put it in the full game. (Think Grand Prix on Mario Kart.) More challenges will come, but for now see if you can get the secret 3-star rank! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44990699/43cfc80e7b0676994309ccf0e60b312b2583fa41.png Sorting table I added a new table where there are two pockets that switch every few seconds. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44990699/cf866add4c256eec14bc6ea5d99108d65b3b5592.gif You have to pot the ball in the correct hole. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44990699/ab7dce9e55a30c3fc66586ac6e1d97e0f99fc39e.gif If you pot the ball in the wrong hole, it will respawn. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44990699/9b760e9593c0818be630f2103884f9a5ac6da035.gif That's all for now, See ya in the next one!
