About this game
Experience the Renaissance in HistoriCity: Florence, a city builder that invites you to develop a bustling Tuscan metropolis in the aftermath of the Black Plague.
Place housing, commerce, religion, and civic structures to attract new citizens and grow your workforce. Upgrade production buildings to fulfill your citizens' demands, and watch their housing merge and improve. Manage resources and finances to construct iconic landmarks and recruit renowned masters with powerful abilities.
Advance through a series of historically inspired narrative missions and grow your city from a humble settlement into a thriving center of Renaissance life.
Shape Your Narrative
Define the composition of your growing metropolis by establishing residential, commercial, religious, and mixed-use districts. Progress through a full set of historical missions that allow you to experience the moral purge of the Bonfire of the Vanities, the failed assassination of the Pazzi Conspiracy, and the civic upheaval leading to the exile of the Medici.
Weave Your Economy
Design production networks and distribute goods efficiently. Hire and fire individual workers as you connect farms, workshops, and urban industries into interdependent supply chains that respond to the evolving needs of your growing population. Establish trade relationships, manage taxes and wages, and balance spending to expand and grow.
Evolve Your Housing
Improve residences automatically by meeting inhabitants' ever-expanding needs. Simple houses become larger and more elaborate, while prosperous neighborhoods organically grow denser as improved homes merge into larger apartments. Over time, distinct districts emerge, from bustling city centres to quieter, more spacious rural outskirts.
Influence Your Society
Engage with a fully simulated Renaissance population going about their daily routines. Staff brothels and taverns for heads' of household entertainment, place Podestà offices in high-crime areas to catch and punish citizens who turn to a life of crime, and upgrade your churches to host elaborate Easter services for the entire community every spring.
Indulge Your Ears
Enjoy a full soundtrack of period-accurate music from renowned Italian composers such as da Milano, Dalza, and Capirola, expertly performed by internationally acclaimed lute virtuoso Elizabeth Pallett. Vibe out to twenty-three tracks of Pallett's expressive playing that bring the atmosphere of Renaissance Florence to life.

MORE HOUSING, QUICKER - a new house and two new apartments extend our housing upgrade chain to nine levels, with tuned upgrade requirements so each level only requires one or two new things BUTCHER SHOP - assign Butchers to turn Mutton into Chops as a luxury food, now required for Easter Service in larger settlements Boosted early game immigration rates to improve opening pace Color-coded residents' needs text based on current satisfaction level (green/yellow/red) to make it much easier to tell what you still need to achieve the next level of housing More granular city grading (X+/X- grades) and a wider range of mapped values makes it easier to track changes in grades Reduced derelict houses' undesirability radius so initial housing upgrades can occur without first having to clean up basically the entire derelict town Removed 20-tile radius limit on pegfolk searching for goods, they now search the entire map Tuned Easter Service grading for fairness, placing more emphasis on the most recent years Tuned Market/Churches/Santa Maria max workers, Market max resources Refreshed per-profession job wheel colors for better differentiation New dynamic SFX for assign/release worker UI Female immigrants use different 3D model Hover hints on all resource icons, regardless of where they appear in the UI Bugs Fixed: Artists wouldn't build statues until their workshop was completely full of supplies Statues installed in plazas were not rendered after a game was saved and loaded Pausing then unpausing while in a faster game speed reset the game speed back to 1x Loading a saved game would trigger an extra immigrant spawn event Plazas' and churches' desirability ranges w...Read full article on Community Announcements (Stratagem Interactive)Community & EventsOfficial
