    V 1.4.511 - OFFICIAL IN-GAME LEVEL EDITOR RELEASE!

Hello Riders,We are super excited to announce the official full release of our in-game editor! The level editor is now available on all PC platforms, but you can play the community maps on all platforms, single and multiplayer! And multiplayer is even cross-platform! And the best thing is that there are already more than a dozen awesome community trails available for you to try out! These are just some of the trails we really love, there are more! Our biggest gratitude to all the early trail creators and everyone who helped us test the editor in the beta! Community trails can be browsed, downloaded and played directly within the game on every platform while the Steam workshop will also be available in parallel. Not only can they be played in multiplayer, but mountain makers can add their own time-trial-, trick- or freeride challenges to their trails. On the technical side, we upgraded the game to a new Unity render pipeline. Even though it was a ton(!) of work, you should probably only notice some slight performance and loading time improvements - however it will help us to keep the game running smoothly over the next few years. And finally, we fixed that annoying stopping bug when crossing a checkpoint, together with a whole bunch of other smaller bugfixes and improvements. We wish you lots of fun with creating your own trails and playing all the amazing trails the community has and will come up with. If you have any questions or remarks, it’s best to let us know in our Discord (https://discord.gg/lonelymountains). If you want to know more about creating trails for Snow Riders, we have a handy guide and an even better tutorial series for you, which also got some new and updated chapters today!Guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16DQP4ZKNTaGuZz8Xp8gKlaew3uWCCZyxFc6gjDKpicg/edit?usp=sharingVideo Tutorials:All the best and have fun building your own Lonely Mountains!Your MegagonsPS: Here is the full patch log for the update: v1.4.511 - In-Game Level Editor & Rend...

v1.4.402 - Level Editor Beta Update

Level Editor Beta Update - Community Trails The Level Editor beta update is now live on the Steam beta branch - the big one ahead of the full editor release. Community TrailsYou can now browse user generated levels directly in-game — from the main menu and from the trail selection. Download, rate and (if needed) report them right there. This is also the groundwork for cross-platform support. Levels moved off Steam WorkshopLevels are now stored on Playfab. They will still be published to the Workshop for visibility, but the published files there are no longer compatible — so all levels need to be republished to be available for others again. Sorry for the extra work, it's a one-time step, and republishing restores everything including comments and ratings. Also worth knowing: the folder layout changed. On first launch the game moves your local level files into subfolders automatically. Lots of editor polishProp clipboard, configurable Time Trials/Tricks/Freeride challenges, a screenshot tool for publishing, plus a pile of river, path and prop fixes. Full change log below. Still a beta To be clear: this is the beta branch only for now. We want to see how it holds up with your levels before it goes out to everyone — which we hope will be very soon. We tested compatibility a lot, but if anything looks off with your existing levels, please reach out right away. Thoughts, bugs and feature requests are highly appreciated! -your Megagons!Changes in v1.4.402 ("leveleditor" Beta Branch only)New FeaturesMajor: Community Trails - you can now browse user generated levels from the main menu, but also from the trail selection. V 1.4.210 - Unity 6, Level Editor & Tutorial Series

Hello Riders,We hope you’re all doing well! We have just released version 1.4.210 on all platforms. This patch mainly consists of two parts: We have updated the game to Unity 6 (the game engine that we are using). Although it was quite a lot of work, this shouldn’t actually come with any noticeable differences, but it is an important update as it will allow us to further maintain the game in the future. In case you notice any new bugs or differences, it would be much appreciated if you let us know.   Secondly, the patch includes a lot of improvements for the Steam beta in-game level editor, ranging from path handling, different day and weather presets, to a lot of smaller UI improvements. If you’re playing on Steam and haven’t checked out the editor yet, now is a perfect time. There are already a whole bunch of really, really amazing community maps that you can play! All you have to do is check out the beta branch on Steam.Right-click on Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders in your Steam Library, select Properties… Navigate to Game Versions & Betas and select the public level editor version. The game will update, and when you start it, you can now select the level editor in the start menu. You can also subscribe to user levels in Steam Workshop and play them in the trail menu. As a level creator, you can now also update your levels with custom thumbnails! To update the thumbnail, you have to add a screenshot in Steam Workshop and afterwards reupload your level. The workflow isn’t perfect, but improving it will take more time. Last but not least, we have also published a new tutorial series for the level editor on our YouTube channel, starring our Level Designer Juan. Please welcome him and let us know if you feel the videos are helpful and what we can improve. FULL PLAYLIST: All the best,Your Megagons Here is the full patch log:v1.4.210Steam/Xbox/PS5New FeaturesCritical: Updated the project to Unity 6.\ Major: New features for creating pathsPaths are selectable by clicking...
