About this game
“Archetype Blue” is a pixel-art deckbuilding roguelite where you form an expedition party with over 50 unique allies, collect, use, and upgrade cards, and overcome battles through strategy.

Become a legendary hero and set out with your allies to explore various regions of a fantasy world.
Build your deck and expedition party with your own strategy, make choices, face unpredictable events, and lead your party safely to its destination.
Combine various cards, magical effects, and ally abilities to defeat enemies.
Countless random elements encountered during each expedition create fresh developments and immersive moments every time.
《 Build a Deck That Grows Stronger the More You Play 》
Learn the traits and effects of each card, collect new cards, and complete your own combat style.
During expeditions, you can strengthen your strategy even further by upgrading cards or adjusting your deck.
Experience the fun of overcoming battles in different ways each time.
《 Expeditions with Over 50 Allies 》
Even the toughest expeditions can open up new possibilities when you travel with allies.
Recruit a wide variety of companions from legends and stories,
and build your own expedition party by considering each ally’s abilities and synergy.
The flow of battle changes greatly depending on which allies you bring and how you combine them with your cards.
《 A Chain of Unpredictable Situations 》
Just as important as strategy is the judgment to respond to changing circumstances.
During expeditions, battles, events, rewards, and dangers unfold at random.
Sometimes luck creates opportunities, and sometimes an unexpected choice can turn the tide of the expedition.
Make careful decisions and reach the end of the adventure together with your allies.
《 Ally and Card Combinations That Shake Up Battle 》
Combat in Archetype Blue is not simply about playing the strongest cards.
You must combine ally positions, abilities, card effects, status effects, buffs, and debuffs
to strike enemy weaknesses and take control of the battle.
From powerful single strikes and combo attacks to healing, defense, and high-risk strategies,
each battle unfolds differently depending on the player’s choices.
《 The Truth of the Expedition Revealed Through the Story 》
An expedition in Archetype Blue is more than just a series of battles.
Become Lancelot of the Order of the Lake
and pursue the truth behind strange incidents and mysterious monsters appearing throughout the fantasy world.
As you continue your expeditions, the stories of your allies and the hidden secrets of the world are gradually revealed,
and the narrative grows deeper through your choices and progress.
Break through battles, build relationships with your allies,
and search for new possibilities in a collapsing world.

Major Update — Play Through Chapter 2 in the Demo for Two Weeks
Hello, everyone! We're Codename Bom, the team behind Archetype Blue. Update Schedule and Limited-Time Demo Access This major update will roll out in stages over three days, from September 16 to September 18. For a limited time, you'll also be able to play through Chapter 2 in the demo for two weeks. Take your new companion combinations into Chapter 2 and see how the updated combat plays out. We're also sharing the illustration and pixel art for Chapter 2's final boss. You'll find them at the end of this post. Over the past three weeks, we've focused on refining the game's core systems, guided by your feedback from the demo. Our goal was clear: give you more opportunities to recruit different companions early on, explore how they work together, and see your choices make a difference in battle. To support that goal, we've made coordinated changes to companion stats and growth, party formations, cards and status effects, enemy placement, and coin rewards. If you've played the demo before, you'll notice changes not only in how quickly you can recruit companions, but also in how you can use familiar faces. 1. More Ways to Build Your Party with Around 40,000 Curated Formations Building a party in Archetype Blue doesn't end with choosing three companions. Even the same companion can take on a different role depending on where you place them and who fights alongside them. For this update, we evaluated over 500,000 possible formations, including companion combinations and positioning, then selected around 40,000 to build into a database. We looked beyond classes, considering each companion's passives, buff and healing targets, action order, character relationships, and synergies. Formations that link buffs between companions positioned in front of or behind one another Formations that improve survivability by changing who receives protection and healing Formations where companions of the same class fill different roles Formations built around tactics such as Focus, Injury, F...Read full article on Community Announcements (Neko)AnnouncementsOfficial

July Demo Update
Hello, this is the Archetype Blue development team.In this demo update, we have improved and added several elements, including dialogue presentation, tutorials, UI clarity, event guidance, new cards, and a new node NPC.We have strengthened several guidance elements so that new players can understand the flow of the game more easily. At the same time, we have also prepared new choices that allow players to approach battles in different ways.1. Blinking animations have been added to character illustrations. In visual novel-style dialogue scenes, characters now move not only their mouths, but also their eyes.It may seem like a small change, but it was something we really wanted to add in order to make the characters feel a little more alive. We will continue to improve facial expressions and dialogue presentation little by little, so that reading the story feels more natural and immersive.2. The tutorial has been improved. We have added more tutorial explanations for elements that new players may have easily missed.Archetype Blue is a game where several systems work together, such as Supporters, cards, positioning, buffs and debuffs, and event choices. Because of this, some parts may have felt difficult to understand at first due to insufficient explanations. In this update, we have adjusted the tutorial so that these elements are explained in more detail. We still do not think it is perfect, but we hope it helps new players understand the flow of the game a little more easily.3. Correct answers are now shown in event nodes. In event nodes, the correct choice is now displayed in yellow. If you choose the correct answer, you can gain 1 additional Pneuma. However, choosing the correct answer may not always be the best option in every situation. Sometimes, choosing a different option to aim for another reward may be the better decision. Please choose based on your current situation, the resources you need, and the reward you want. This change was made so that event choices feel les...Read full article on Community Announcements (Neko)AnnouncementsOfficial
☕ Making Dialogue Feel More Alive 👀
Hello, this is the Archetype Blue development team ☕Today, we’re not working on cards or combat balance, but on improving the presentation of dialogue scenes a little. One of the things we keep thinking about while making Archetype Blue is this: Combat needs to be fun, of course, but the characters who appear between those battles shouldn’t feel like they’re just standing there and reading lines. We want Mary, the people she meets, and the emotions they carry to come through a little more clearly. That way, we hope players can feel a bit closer to the world and its characters. So going forward, we’re planning to add small touches like character blinking and facial expression changes during conversations 👀It’s not a huge feature. But we think even small things, like a character blinking while speaking, changing expression when surprised, or showing a different face in a sad scene, can change the feeling of a scene quite a lot.Until now, some dialogue scenes have felt a little static, so we’d like to add these small movements and make the characters feel a bit more alive on screen.Of course, once we actually add them, some parts might feel awkward, or too much movement might even get in the way. So we’ll try applying them little by little and find the direction that fits Archetype Blue’s atmosphere best ✨Lately, we’ve talked a lot about cards and combat updates, but we’re also continuing to work on the story scenes. We want Archetype Blue to be remembered not only as a game about repeated battles, but also as a journey filled with characters and emotions. We’ll keep working so we can show you a game that gets a little better each time.We hope you’ll continue to look forward to Archetype Blue and support us.Bom~😋Read full article on Community Announcements (Neko)AnnouncementsOfficial
