About this game
The Story

You will be playing as a guy who's never really clicked with girls. You'd much rather spend your time on the computer playing video games than dealing with real-life relationships. However, things quickly change. Your best friend, Joe, has made a significant change in his life, and he is there to pull you out of your comfort zone into a new lifestyle that you never thought you'd experience. Vanessa, Joe's girlfriend, and Ann, her longtime friend, are just two of the girls you'll encounter early on. Are you going to build a relationship with sweet, shy Ann? Maybe you'll corrupt her instead? Heck, why not try to steal Vanessa away from Joe?
The Experience

Long Story Short is for people who like to explore and experience different alternatives! While the first playthrough can be intriguing and exciting, the second and third playthroughs might be even more surprising. It will enable you to see the scenes from other perspectives or find out what happened when you chose to do something different. The story has an end goal, but the way to get there will vary. I also plan to explore many adult themes and fetishes before wrapping up the story. I hope you will explore how the choices impact the characters, their interactions, and the eventual outcome.
Choices First

Long Story Short puts choices first at the forefront. Experience a game where the depth of choices is like never before. Think of a scenario, and chances are, you can play it out. Whether you desire to hold onto relationships or take risks by sharing them, the game bends to your will. And with continuous updates, if it's not possible today, it might just be tomorrow. Dive into a world where your choices don't just matter—they define everything."
The Girls

Every girl stands apart with her distinct personality and characteristics. From a shy, socially awkward soul to one who’s unabashed in her passions, to a childhood friend with deep-rooted connections. Each girl has been crafted to feel unique, and every single one is open to romance. The path they tread? Entirely up to you. Choose to cherish them close or influence their journeys in directions you never thought possible."

V0.11 Dev Update + New Previews
Hey guys! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44580013/b87b28ad4707d9e2126c3102002fd3f4bc71ce1d.jpg I said I would keep sharing progress here, so I wanted to give you a proper, longer update this time with more details about what has been happening, what I'm working on, and some previews from V0.11. First, I should explain what has been slowing me down lately. If you remember, I had problems with my 3090 in the past. I paid to have its thermal pads replaced, and after that it worked fine for quite a while. About a month ago, it finally decided to give up on me. Before I knew for sure what was happening, my PC kept crashing, which made it almost impossible to work normally. Luckily, I already had a 5090 that I bought a while ago, but I never plugged it in because the DAZ version I normally use doesn't support it properly. Some boring explanation of what DAZ is - if you don't care about that, you can skip the next paragraph. For those who don't know, DAZ is the program I use to build the scenes, pose the characters, set the cameras and lights, and create all the renders you see in the game. DAZ 4.24, the version I normally use, doesn't support the 50-series cards, so I can't switch to Iray with the 5090. The only version that can use Iray with the 5090 is DAZ 2026, but that version is so broken with my scenes that I can't set up proper lighting or camera angles without the program getting stuck on me. Right now, I'm creating and posing the scenes without setting up the proper lighting. Hopefully, once I find a solution, I'll be able to reopen them and finish the lighting properly. If this isn't fixed in the next few weeks, I'll have to see which solution works best. I may need to buy a new PC, move the 5090 into it, and put the 3090 back into this PC, hoping I can push through the scenes I've already made and set up the lighting before it crashes again. Otherwise, I'll need to find another solution. The important part is that the work hasn't stopped, and nothing is on hold. I can stil...Read full article on Community Announcements (TTrickGames)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev Update - V0.11 Progress and the Bar Night
Hey guys! I know it's been quiet for a while, and I apologize. I've been working on a very challenging update, and I realized it's time to fill you in on what I'm doing. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44580013/bdd39de2087410346a32ca804042cdc3c400a7ff.jpg As you know, the last alpha ended right before the night event started, and the next part focuses on that. The bar night is currently the largest scene I have ever worked on. I expected it to be big, but I only really understood the scale once I started writing and coding all the different paths. Looking back, I probably would have made it smaller, because I know many of you are eager for the next part. But at this point, I would rather keep moving forward and finish what is already built instead of scrapping parts that are already working just to push something out faster. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44580013/489111bfc377e411227d75956e0d9350d719db82.jpg The idea is simple on paper: MC helps Emily make the night work. In practice, it means checking in with different characters, choosing who to spend time with, deciding when to push the party further, and seeing how people react depending on what already happened in your playthrough. The event has to take into account previous choices, relationship states, route progress, NTR settings, who you interact with, what you skip, and how far you push the night. That is the part that takes time, because one small change can affect several other paths. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44580013/8a50b47b1b362a67a15bcd6cf41c53fce7ec959b.jpg I could have made it a normal linear event, but I wanted to try something different. The night starts as a social bar scene and builds from there through character interactions, drinks, dares, public tension, and private or semi-private moments when the route supports them. Some characters are bolder right away, some need more buildup, and some react differently depending on who else is involved. I also want the moments after the bar to feel like they came from the night you a...Read full article on Community Announcements (TTrickGames)AnnouncementsOfficial

Long Story Short V0.11a0.1 is out and can be accessed through the Beta tab!Hey everyone,The new alpha version is now available on Steam. You can try it right away by opting into the public_alpha branch (instructions below).A quick note:I’ve already seen a few comments about the update length. I won’t go into this too much here since this is just an announcement post, but I want to be honest with you.The way I currently develop the game, with a lot of optional paths, clothing variations, and branching choices, takes a lot of time and doesn’t always translate into a longer playable update.I’m not saying anything will change, but I wanted to give you a heads-up while I take some time to think about the structure going forward.Translation support:This update also adds support for custom language translations. If you'd like to translate the game into your own language, it's now possible! There are also two partial translations included — check the changelog below for more details. How to access the alpha build:Right-click Long Story Short in your Steam LibrarySelect PropertiesGo to the Betas tabChoose public_alpha from the dropdownClose the window — Steam will begin downloading the alpha version automaticallyChangelog:Story:The story continues from where it left off. Dev Update!
Hey guys, and maybe some girls!Let me start by saying that I (hopefully) solved my GPU crashing issue. For those who don’t know, I’m currently using a 3090, and I also have a 5090 that’s not in use yet because I’m waiting for Daz (the software I use to render) to officially support it outside of alpha. My 3090 started crashing a few months ago while I was wrapping up the previous update, and instead of spending time debugging the issue, I focused on finishing the last few renders so I could get the update out.Anyway, hopefully I’m not jinxing it, but switching to a new power supply seems to have fixed the problem. Now to the actual dev update:This is probably the most challenging update I’ve worked on.While I was working on V0.10, I already had a pretty clear idea of which scenes I wanted to include in V0.11. The TTricky part was figuring out how to start the update in a way that ties everything together and keeps the pacing smooth.Because I didn’t want to stare at a blank screen for weeks, I started working on several scenes separately. For some of them, I didn’t even set the lighting yet because I wasn’t sure whether they’d be night or day scenes. Now that I’ve finally locked down the structure, I can say I’m really happy with how the update is shaping up.And here's the current dilemma:I came up with a new scene that wasn’t part of the original draft, and it ended up becoming a pretty big one. It includes all the main characters, plus some side characters and a ton of extras in the background.Just rendering a single frame is already pushing the limits of my GPU’s memory. The scene looks awesome so far, but it’s incredibly slow to render. If I see that it’s holding back the entire process, I might do what I did in the past: release the main scenes first, and then follow up with this larger bonus scene that ties everything together and adds even more content.Translation UpdateI also finished implementing full translation support in my engine, and I want to give a huge t...Read full article on Community Announcements (TTrickGames)Patch NotesOfficial
Small Bug Fix – Skipped Scene
This update fixes a bug that caused players to miss a small scene in two specific paths: Ann’s girlfriend route (non-corruption) Ann’s hate route (not girlfriend) You can still use your old saves. This scene doesn't change much besides some context between Ann and the MC. However, if you’d like to see said scene, make sure you are on the right path and simply load a save right before returning the outfit to Mario (the big, buffed guy). This patch also enables unlocking of the “Wear It Now” gallery item that was bugged.Read full article on Community Announcements (TTrickGames)
