About this game

WHAT PATH WILL YOU TAKE?

About the Game

As the clock strikes 4:AM, Aila wakes in a city that no longer follows rules. A near future dystopia lies in ruins, consumed by a substance known as the Yellow.

With Yellow everywhere light has become a threat. Survival is no longer about strength; it is about awareness, improvisation, and knowing when to disappear.

4:AM is a cinematic side-scrolling stealth adventure built around player driven problem solving. You will sneak through broken environments, evade continuous dangers, and survive moments where hesitation means death. Instead of following fixed solutions, you copy objects directly from the world around you and repurpose them to create your own way forward.

Furniture, debris, light sources, and functional tools can be duplicated and used. Elements such as electricity, water, and fire exist naturally in the environment and react based on materials and context.

There is no single correct solution.

THE WORLD IS IN PIECES. USE IT.

With N.O.D.E., you can duplicate objects from your surroundings and reuse them creatively. Every object can become cover, a distraction, or an escape depending on where and how you place it.

SOLVE PROBLEMS YOUR WAY

Each challenge supports multiple approaches like stealth, misdirection, or risky improvisation. Survival doesn’t care how you solve it. Whatever works, works. There’s always more than one way through.

THREAT OR TOOL

Objects react differently depending on how they’re used. The same element can protect you, expose you, or turn the environment against you.

RUN OR HIDE, YOU DECIDE

Enemies react to sound, movement, and disruption. Staying hidden is ideal but sometimes running is the only option.

WOULD YOU RISK IT?

Events unfold around you. Intervening is optional and sometimes dangerous. Your actions affect who survives and how the story concludes.

You'll get a notification when access is granted. We have already made improvements on sound design, enemy visuals, movement, menu and UI. We are going to continue working on these and also focus on performance optimization until the playtest and demo release. Of course these are all happening in parallel to development of new levels and the rest of the game. We've been working on lots recently, but for a little snapshot, we've been working on: New levels: the warzone and slums (check out the screenshots below!)Sound design updatesSome enemy movement and visual updatesMenu redesignA lot of bug fixesAs a small team, getting meaningful feedback before a public release isn't something that happens easily, so we've decided to run a playtest of the demo ahead of putting it out.A few things worth knowing: this is a playtest, not the final demo. There will be bugs and unpolished parts. If you'd like an early look at the game and want to help shape it before it's out, sign up now.
