About the Game
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a survival fleet-management roguelite with procedural narrative design and real-time space battles. Shoulder the heavy burden of leadership as you make critical decisions for your fleet’s survival under constant pressure.
You command a fleet of survivors relentlessly chased by the Cylon Fleet. Each new run represents another desperate attempt to rejoin Humanity’s last hope: the Battlestar Galactica.
Prepare, fight, and survive at all costs.
So say we all.
Fleet Management phases offer limited turns to prepare until the next inevitable Cylon assault. As the enemy draws closer, designate priorities to ensure your fleet’s survival:
Dispatch expeditions to nearby points of interest for resources
Allocate supplies and personnel to resolve urgent situations
Upgrade ships for survivability and firepower
Train crew to improve efficiency in and out of combat
Your decisions continuously affect the Fleet’s overall status: faction politics, healthcare, and maintenance levels. Each indicator dynamically triggers narrative events tailored to your fleet’s condition. Your fleet’s fate can evolve in drastic ways if you’re not careful: epidemics, critical system malfunctions, or even a full-blown civil war.
In times of crisis, the Fleet looks to you to make hard decisions. Given your limited resources and time, determine if your fleet can afford to solve a crisis immediately or suffer its negative effects over time.
Perhaps the most challenging crisis you’ll face will be discovering a Cylon has infiltrated your ranks: investigating suspects will cost resources, but taking too long will cost lives.
The Cylon Fleet overwhelmingly outnumbers you. Each encounter is about survival, not victory. Fight high-risk tactical battles while your fleet prepares an FTL jump to safety.
Coordinate frontline squadrons with powerful Gunstar strikes in real time
Use Tactical Pause at any time to preview your attacks and enemy movements
Create synergies to deploy enemy-specific strategies by leveraging your unit strengths and unique abilities.
Rejoining the Battlestar Galactica is a perilous mission with no margin for error. Most fleets will fail, but each attempt will provide new ways to overcome the unforgiving odds stacked against your survival.
Unlock up to four starting fleets, each with its own unique playstyle
Clear trials to access additional squadron units, gunstar weapons, and modifiers that will appear in your next run
Invest in valuable meta upgrades that will benefit all future fleets you command
Challenge higher difficulty levels to test your limits as a commander

Patch 1.1.1 Is Deploying Now with New Features, Fixes and More!
Hey Commanders,We’re back with a new update bringing new features, fixes, tweaks and balancing based on your feedback. New features■ A new assistance option to lower the number of foreseeable crises (those shown on the timeline). It's now possible to have only one every 2 or 3 sectors, or even no foreseeable crises at all.■ Each Hero info panel can now show if they are available. If they are already allocated, it's now possible to view the squadron or weapon they are assigned to without having to go to the hangar.■ A new visual "link" UI on the battlefield highlighting which units are currently affecting (or being affected by) unit boost or nerf abilities, showing the relationship between units. Among other cases, it should especially make it clearer when boss beacons are boosting Cylon evasion.Major fixes■ Fixed a rare case where it was still possible to end up with a corrupted save file■ Fixed the Steam Cloud issue disclosed in previous patch notes; playing on a new machine now always preserves the ongoing run■ Fixed a blocker case in the demo which could happen in the transition from a victorious run to a new run■ Fixed an issue where positive/negative modifiers were not applied to crises’ or situations’ stakes, if that stake was damaging ships or changing Fleet Health Balancing and improvements■ "The Convoy" now has a much higher chance of finding Gunstar weapons in shops. In addition, "The Guerrilla" has more chance of finding squadrons in shops.■ Improved the chances to obtain a blessing related to Hero death or Civilian ship loss after battles when relevant.■ Improved the bar event generation to minimize cases where there are only 2 events available - this can still happen, we’re planning to add a few events in a future update to remedy this.■ Made the Fleet Summary panel almost always accessible (including blessings, events, shop and so on) so that it's easier to get the information needed when necessary.■ Greatly improved the visibility of Human units on th...Read full article on Community Announcements (nehla.yanouri)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch 1.1.0 Lands Today, Bringing Fixes, Tweaks and New Features
Welcome back to the bridge, Commander. Patch 1.1.0 has landed, and we want to give you a briefing on how the changes we’ve made will impact your journey. We’ve got a number of fixes, tweaks and improvements, as well as some brand-new features - with our changes based on the incredible feedback we’ve had since Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes launched.Thank you to all those who have taken on the role of Commander. Here’s what you can find in today’s update. DisclaimerWe have observed an issue with Steam Cloud save synchronization: when launching the game for the first time on a new computer, the ongoing run will be lost, landing you on the tutorial run by default. You can safely abandon this tutorial and find your permanent progression untouched.Alternatively, you can also find and copy over the save file of your ongoing run manually.Run savefiles can be found in \\AppData\\LocalLow\\Alt Shift\\Battlestar Galactica Scattered Hopes\\Saves, sorted in folders named by saveslots (note that the first saveslot will be saved in a folder named save0, the second slot will be in the folder named save1, and so on). In these folders, locate a file named RunState.json and copy it over to the same folder path on the new computer. New FeaturesWe heard your feedback on the lack of consequences when destroying the final Boss Basestar. We don’t want to give spoilers, but this has now been tweaked to add a few different things hereYou let us know that the 10 extinction levels per fleet felt a bit too grindy, so we changed the system and extinction levels progress are now shared between fleets. There are still achievements to gain by completing Extinction X with each fleet.Photo Mode is now available within Fleet Management! Access this through the pause menu to get some great shots of your Fleet as you journey through the starsWe’ve added an experimental feature to enable “fast mode” during battle. Our testing shows this as being stable, but it could still have some performance im...Read full article on Community Announcements (MargauxDotemu)Patch NotesOfficial
