About this game
Cameraman: The Pilot Episode is a psychological horror game that lets you bend time and manipulate gravity to solve puzzles and survive. Inspired by 80's British television, M.C. Escher, and the Backrooms, you’ll explore ever-changing rooms and spaces that twist familiar locations into something far more sinister.
Story
The Precipice. A portal to a pocket dimension and the product of years of clandestine research and development.
Someone must be the first to cross its threshold.
“The man who has nothing to lose is capable of anything.”
Recent tragedies have made Cameraman the perfect person to take the next groundbreaking step for Zeitlich Corp and its research head, Professor Colin Woods. His tasks of footage gathering and placing research markers seem simple, until this twisted yet familiar dimension begins to unfold.
While science often grants reprieve from the unknown, discovery can lead to dark ends. This place is no exception. Not a single organic lifeform has crossed to the Other Side, and with its strange ability to react to its inhabitants, how will the dimension mould itself when hosting a broken man?
Key Features
British Analog Horror: On the other side of the portal, Cameraman experiences the familiar: an old UK television studio. You will find outdated tech, eerily empty studios and dusty office spaces.
Gravity-Based Puzzles: Walk on walls and ceilings to navigate the puzzling path of the other side.
Camcorder POV: Through an 80's style camera lens you will view the mysteries beyond our world. Complete with artifacting, stuttering glitches and the classic timer.
Rewind Time: Rewind specific objects to traverse the environment's challenges, your path forward may depend on it.
Live Action Sequences: Where would a TV News Studio be without it's host? Experience news reports in live action sequences on TV's around the level.

Cameraman Halloween Update Out Now!
Happy Halloween! We've Got a Treat For You... (A Terrifying New Update)Hello everyone, and Happy Halloween! We've been working in the shadows to bring you a very special treat for the spookiest day of the year. The next major update for the Cameraman demo is live right now! This isn't just a patch; it's a massive overhaul that introduces the true horror we've been dying to unleash. We've taken your feedback, rebuilt broken systems from the ground up, and added the threats that were missing. Here's what's waiting for you in the dark:The Horror Is Here. The core horror mechanics are now live. We'll let you discover the specifics for yourself, but here’s a taste of what to expect.Your VHS tape timer is your life. If it reaches the end, you are no longer the one doing the hunting. The Horror Stages: The atmosphere will now change as you progress. It starts subtly... A light flickering, the ticking of a nearby clock growing louder. Then, things may start to look... wrong. Objects might change when you're not looking. The Hunt: When you reach the final stage, the real nightmare begins. The lights go out, things around you begin to change in otherworldly ways, and the entity will hunt you.The Entity: You are being watched. This new threat can never be seen moving and can follow you on all surfaces. When you're in the horror stage, looking at it will cause your screen to "glitch," and with each glitch... it moves closer and closer. The Clocks: Your only defense. Find and use wall clocks to rewind your VHS tape timer. But be warned: these clocks are fragile. They will eventually break and shatter. When you're in a pinch, you may find "backup" clocks (like a small desk clock) that can ward off the entity for just a few precious seconds.Expanded Worlds and Reworked SystemsThis update is packed with new content and crucial fixes based on your feedback.Renewed & Expanded Levels: We've added new areas to explore that are more atmospheric, weird, and interesting.New Lighting System: The ...Read full article on Community Announcements (RAA Studios)
