About this game
The year is 1814. A time of steel and honor—of knights, warriors, and forgotten empires. Your ship has crashed. The wreckage smolders behind you as you awaken, disoriented and alone on the shores of a strange, uncharted island. The ground rumbles beneath your body—heavy, thunderous footsteps draw near. A towering T-Rex emerges from the jungle mist. Yet somehow… you’re not afraid. What truly unsettles you is the void in your mind—you remember nothing of who you were or what led you here.
Welcome to Athos, a primal world where dinosaurs never went extinct. Instead, they evolved alongside humanity, forging a brutal and beautiful land untouched by time. Shipwrecked and with no memory of your past, you must learn to survive in this savage wilderness. Gather resources, craft weapons, and tame powerful dinosaurs to stand by your side. As you grow stronger and carve out a life on this dangerous island, echoes of your forgotten past begin to resurface. Why did your ship crash? Why were you spared? And what ancient force slumbers beneath Athos, waiting to be awakened?

Upon starting, each player is dropped into the vast and diverse landscapes of the prehistoric world of Athos. The game world is teeming with various species of dinosaurs, from the towering Tyrannosaurus rex to the nimble Velociraptor. Armed with only primitive tools and their wits, players must quickly gather resources like wood, stone, and food to build shelters, craft weapons, and stay alive.

Surviving the game means facing the ever-present danger of dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs can be tamed and used as mounts, providing players with a distinct advantage, while others are relentless predators that require careful strategy to defeat. Players can team up to take down larger threats or go solo to hone their survival skills.

Throughout the game, players can collect blueprints and rare resources to craft more advanced weapons, armor, and tools. As players level up, they gain access to new abilities and skills that aid in combat and survival. Choose your playstyle and tailor your character to dominate the primordial landscape.

Athos immerses players in a thrilling survival adventure where they must navigate a perilous alien world, interact with majestic yet dangerous dinosaurs, and uncover the mysteries that lie beneath the surface. With its dynamic gameplay, and rich narrative elements, the game offers an unforgettable journey of exploration, adaptation, and survival in the face of daunting odds.

Athos Roadmap Revealed – Major Update Arrives in July!
It has taken us a little longer than expected to announce the exact release date for the next major update to Athos. Over the past year, we have been working hard behind the scenes, making significant changes and improvements to the game. Due to the scale of these changes, the process took longer than originally anticipated. However, we now have a clear roadmap that we are excited to share with you. Our first major update is scheduled for mid-July, bringing with it many of the features and improvements we have been developing over the past year. One of the biggest changes is that Athos has been upgraded from Unreal Engine 5.2 to Unreal Engine 5.6. This upgrade not only keeps the game current with the latest technology but also brings performance and stability improvements. The game's interface has been completely redesigned with improved visuals and a stronger medieval aesthetic to better match the world of Athos.Another major addition is the new Quest System. Players will now have quests to follow, providing direction, progression, and opportunities to uncover more of the game's lore as they explore the world. The highly anticipated Dinosaur Armor System will also make its debut. Players will be able to equip their dinosaurs with different armor sets, allowing them to customize stats and tailor their companions to suit their preferred playstyle. We've also significantly improved the dinosaur movement system. Dinosaurs will now navigate around obstacles more effectively and should become stuck far less frequently than before. Finally, one of the biggest additions arriving in July is the introduction of official dedicated servers. New Saddle System & Next Major Update Coming to Athos!
We’re excited to share more details about one of the big features coming in our next major update: the new saddle system for mounts in Athos. This system will add more depth and flexibility to how you use your dino companions, giving you the ability to customize them for different playstyles and situations. At its core, the saddle system introduces three main saddle types:Transport Saddle – Designed for utility and hauling power, this saddle boosts weight capacity and transport-related stats, making it easier to move large amounts of crafted resources or heavy items across the world.Runner Saddle – Built for speed and mobility, the runner saddle improves movement stats, allowing your dino mount to travel faster across rough terrain and cover long distances in record time.Armor Saddle – Focused on combat readiness, this saddle increases armor and protection, giving your mount greater durability and turning it into a fearsome ally in battles. One of the most exciting parts of this system is that saddles and their gear will be modular and interchangeable. This means you can combine elements from different saddle types to create hybrid builds that fit your needs. For example, mix armor with runner gear to balance speed and combat efficiency, or combine armor with transport upgrades to move heavy loads while still staying protected on the road.Alongside the saddle system, this update will also bring a major engine upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.6, delivering a host of new features, optimizations, and bug fixes that will make Athos look and play better than ever. This upgrade will also mark the beginning of our preparations to bring Athos to Xbox and PlayStation platforms, expanding the world of Athos to even more players.Stay tuned for the official release date of this update—it’s going to be a big one!Read full article on Community Announcements (Neojac)Patch NotesOfficial
