In NITRO GEN OMEGA, assemble your crew and customize their mechs for epic battles against rogue AI. Your bonds will determine victory or defeat in this cinematic strategy-RPG from DESTINYbit.
About this game

Humanity has lost the war. The wastelands are now crawling with rogue AI and scavenging war machines. You and your mercenary crew fight to survive, taking on contracts from the last remaining cities built high above the wasteland.

Fly across a massive open world filled with settlements, machine lairs, quests, and unexpected events.
Take on contracts, recruit new pilots, and shape your crew’s legend one battle at a time.

Plan your moves during the Planning Phase, then watch your strategy unfold in fully animated, anime-inspired combat sequences.
Injuries, panic, and breakdowns can strike at any moment—but so can heroism.

Create and recruit your crew. Command a four-pilot squad, each controlling a different Mech subsystem.
Dodge, fire, deploy coolant, or unleash special tactics using the game’s unique Timeline System, where every second counts and every action shapes the flow of battle.

Between missions, your airship becomes home.
Cook, train, or relax as your pilots bond, form rivalries, and grow through their experiences.
Each relationship influences how they fight—and how they survive.

Collect and assemble Mech parts to build your perfect war machine.
Balance protection, heat, and ammo to match your playstyle, and unlock new Mech frames with unique strengths and loadouts.

Your Mech can be rebuilt—your pilots cannot.
Manage morale and fatigue, face the consequences of your choices, and discover who you and your crew truly are in a world on the brink.

A whole lotta fixes - 1.3.0 is in Permanent Beta!
Crew,we've been working hard on fixing all the issues you've been reporting right here on Steam and on our Discord server. This time, rather than rushing out updates every few days we decided to pack several fixes into a bigger patch, with the intention of releasing it here on Steam first then release it on consoles shortly after. We know we have been a little slower with this one - sorry about that!As per tradition, we're releasing it in Permanent Beta first to spot any potential issues before pushing it live into the world.ChangelogFixed an issue with "Two is megli che uan" not triggering. First Round of Fixes is out | v.1.2.2
Crew,in the past couple of days we issued a couple of hotfixes for the most pressing issues we observed at launch. Today we're releasing version 1.2.2 that fixes the last known major issue as well as a few minor issues. Here's a complete changelog of everything we fixed this week.ChangelogFixed a crash when moving the left analogue stick during some dialoguesFixed a softlock/loop where if a pilot would get gravely wounded during the initial part of "The Mechanic" quest you'd get stuck in an infinite loop. This fix should be retroactive so existing savefiles should be fixed now. Please let us know if that's not the case.Fixed an issue on mouse & keyboard where clicking too fast on a shop upon entering would render the UI unresponsive.Fixed an issue with Cool/Hot Headed portraits not matching their personality.Fixed an issue with aspirations rewards being issued twice.Fixed missing Spoons and Magnifier Glass missing from their animations.Fixed the palette of the Screamers if you had a custom paint yourself. That should be all for now. We're collecting your bug reports and investigating fixes. Feel free to join us on Discord to interact with other members of the community and with the development team.Cheers,GPRead full article on Community Announcements (DESTINYbit)AnnouncementsOfficial

Everything coming in version 1.0 - Main Quest, Mech Selector & More!
Allright crew,it's time to make a big list! We have a LOT of new things coming in version 1.0 of NITRO GEN OMEGA that is releasing on May 12th. New features, content, UI/UX improvements and more. Here's a deep dive on everything you can expect this upcoming Tuesday. The Main QuestOne last chance to save the world. Will you take it? NITRO GEN OMEGA adds a proper Main Quest that starts at Anchorage and will take you across the whole Continent on a last attempt to defeat the machines for good. The Main Quest is pretty significant in size, and it is meant to run in parallel with the rest of the content of the game.We do not expect you to be able to blitz through it - you will always need to do contracts on the side to keep the Marbles flowing in. Still, the Main Quest is a journey where you will visit every major faction on the continent and we reworked the unlocking of Side Quests to flow nicely with the progression of the Main Quest. The Main Quest introduces new characters, cutscenes, dialogues and new tracks in the soundtrack. It is also meant to give a canonical ending to the game. We always described NGO as a "Sandbox RPG" and that's still largely true, but many players felt the need to have a story to tie it all together. We listened. In order to experience the Main Quest you will need to start a new savefile. Your old savefiles should still be playable but will not include the new content and might present some issues here and there. More info below. All the major additions related to the Main QuestMain Quest starts right at the beginning of the game (regardless if the tutorial is on or off). It runs alongside the rest of the game - you're free to complete it at your own leasure or do side quests, sonar events and contracts.Added several cutscenes inside/outside of combat, sometimes featuring dialogue between your characters and NPCsSome Characters (like the Mechanic) have been rewritten compared to their Early Access version. While there aren't dialogue options, the g...Read full article on Community Announcements (DESTINYbit)
