Update! - Patch 0.65
Hey everyone! We're back after an unexpected and lengthy hiatus. You can expect new episodes to start coming out soon! Until then, we released an update with some cool new features & balance changes. System: -Upgraded the cutscenes to now be capable of having dynamic camera angles. This will be used to animate cutscenes starting Episode 7. -You can now change equipment when losing a battle. -Made the Pause Menu loop up and down Balancing: -Increase Team Point gain to 10 instead of 7 (both during skip & from asteroid). This is to decrease the overall difficulty of the game, but mainly to make it so skipping during shorter ultra-bosses is more viable -Lowered cost of Asteroid Belt to 1750 junk instead of 2250 junk. -Asteroid Belt gives 30TP instead of 25TP. This and lowering the price is to help give a bit of ease of access for ultra-bosses, as it seems balancing this for normal bosses is unnecessary as the average player tends to take a while with them anyways. -Rainbow Filled Donuts give 25TP instead of 15 -Ramen of Branching Time gives 50TP instead of 30 -Lunch Box now heals you by 10 every turn instead of 5 -Nerfed pirate king clones attack to deal 5 damage instead of 10 and fixed bug where it would still attack Echo during a flirt. -Nerfed glitch beast projectile to do 5 damage instead of 15 due to the intense timing of the block (we’re keeping the intense timing to mess with no-hitters :P) That's all for now. We're going to start uploading videos on our YouTube, including a guide to the battle system, gameplay videos, a comprehensive video on what the game is, and more!Read full article on Community Announcements (Team_EOK)Patch NotesOfficial

New Feature: Extras Menu!
Hello everyone! Sorry it's been so long since our last update. We've been very busy. Today, we're showing off the Extras Menu! The Extras Menu has a lot of game modes and utilities. We'll be going over all of them in this post, though the video will give you a visual demonstration! Shop & Equip: Shop & Equip are usually accessible through the story mode. You encounter Alex to open the shop, and you can pause the game to equip new items. However, this is no way to access them outside of this. You can now access them through the Extras Menu. We originally wanted to add this in, but we didn't have time to add in an extras menu that had anything other than these 2 utilities. Menu Config: This is our second most proud feature. You can fully customize the Battle Menu! Sometimes refereed to as your deck. You can change the order of your abilities or you can catalog them (meaning you can delete it from your deck and save it for later). This won't be that useful until we add in more abilities into the game. Even after we release episode 12, we still plan on adding in new abilities since we want to keep expanding the game with new DLC episodes. Although that's not going to be for a while from now. Speaking of which... Skill Tree: This has yet to be added into the game. It'll function less like a literal skill tree and more like a skills shop. This will allow you to unlock new abilities for Echo and Karma. Abilities such as Echo's Team Heal & Prism ability, or Karma's Vampire’s Mark & Love of the Phoenix. Unfortunately, we have to remove Echo's Team Heal and Karma's Passion Drain since they were originally meant to be unlockable via the skill tree. The Skill Tree will be added into the next update, along side 2 of the missing items. This is due to the fact that our current animator isn't great with VFX, so we have to wait until after we've obtained more money until we can add them into the game. Once we have the money for VFX, all abilities will be added into the game at once....Read full article on Community Announcements (Team_EOK)AnnouncementsOfficial

Pirate King: -The speed of the stab attack has been slightly altered. -The speed of the warning attack increased by 50%. The count has been increased to 7 hits instead of 5 in the first phase, and 10 hits instead of 7 in the second. -Damage has been doubled across the board. Nightmare: -Replaced the Crystal attack with the new Line attack added into the game. Much more challenging than the original attack and is a slightly new mechanic to the game. -The wave attack is slightly more difficult and deals 5 more damage. -Silence now lasts 3 turns. Glitch Beast: -The Glitch Ball attack no longer skips the boss’s if you prevent it by hitting the boss. -The boss is a bit more tactical when choosing debuff given by the Glitch Roar. It’ll now consider some redundancies. -The Firing Energy Balls attack is now a lot faster in the first half, and a lot tighter to block in the second. Nitro: -Nitro deals 7.5 damage (which rounds up to 8). When attack is doubled, he deals 15 damage. -Nitro’s Back and Forth attack is a lot tighter to block. -Nitro’s Line Up attack now has momentum. The speed has also been drastically increased, creating a new gameplay feel to the attack as further clones become faster before hitting you. -Clones from Nitro’s Cone Teleport attack now has acceleration. -The other two members of The Gang Squad had their pixel art updated... We hope these changes will m...Read full article on Community Announcements (Team_EOK)Patch NotesOfficial
Redux Update
Hey all! It's been a while. Echoes of Karma had a rough development period after release, but we're back in full force with a complete overhaul of the game! So, what's changing? First off: The entire game is getting re-sprited. You can look at the Echoes of Karma Twitter account for more details on that (we're not calling it X). https://mobile.twitter.com/echoesofkarma We're updating every cutscene to have more animations, every character has had their sprite reworked, most bosses and enemies are having their sprites reworked, and so much more! Items: The roadmap previously stated we're doing an items update. We intend to keep that promise and fully stock the shop! This gives the items shop a total of 21 items. 13 items you can equip, 7 you can use in battle, and 1 special item that remains active so long as it's not used, but can be rebought. We won't spoil what they do here. We also start you off with more Junk (the in game currency) during a first playthrough. Extras Mode: We've added an extras mode to the game. This gives you access to the shop and equip menu without having to access them in an episode. You also have the "Menu Config", which lets you customize your battle menu to have things in any order you want and lets you store unwanted abilities. We also have more extra modes we're not ready to discuss. Enemies and Bosses buffed: Some enemies and bosses in the game have been buffed. Attacks now deal even more damage or are even more difficult to block. The 6th boss is having it's attacks updated to be more difficult and is being given an additional 3 attacks. Q&A time| Why did this take so long?: The team for Echoes of Karma was small, and usually worked commission based. Furthermore, we didn't properly market the game upon it's first release as we didn't have the resources. After that, many of the team members had personal lives to get back to and new projects to attend. Some team members have regrouped, but the team is now much smaller than before and we ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Team_EOK)
