Major Update v.1.06d - Changing The Game

Bonuses GaloreHouston, we have... a new target challenge! On each of the main levels a bonus now alternates between target hits for a cascading percentage of the overall score. So for the initial new bonus hits will only count for 10 percent of the overall score (or 10 points as a base). But each successive bonus target hit raises the bonus percentage up to 30%!I had previously received feedback that people mostly just went for yellow targets as they were worth the most points - I think this adds a bit of spice to the levels and makes those other targets a worthy challenge. :DJust a note that all of the high scores for levels have been altered to reflect the new (wildly high) scores you can achieve. Accessibility Arc & Bonus GuidesA couple new accessibility settings have been implemented as well. For those trickier shots, there's now an optional Arc Guide, and Bonus Guide for ease of spotting which targets you can aim for to grab those extra points. There's also a toggle to enable the Target Bonus Guides. Quality of Life Features:Added a few more hints to the Intro Screen to explain how to turn on the new features.A few adjustments to UI to accommodate new features.Bug Fixes:Fixed an issue where the controller settings were incorrectly overriding mouse settings on PC.Physics changes on Lv 8. Previously the arrow would check collisions too frequently and wind up going through objects, or ride along the ceiling. Hopefully this won’t be an issue anymore. If one of the unlockable characters was unlocked before the other, there was a chance that on a secret board selection level it would load the other hidden character’s level. Fixed.Gameplay:Added an entirely new bonus target challenge! See the description above, I’m excited about this one.Adding accessibility features! With the new bonus comes… a new Target Bonus Guide! If you’d like, enable it in settings to see an outline of each target that is ‘new’ bonus enabled. All High Score challenges have been rebalanced with th...

    Update 1.05e Hotfix

As it turns out, LJ still 'shed his mortal coil' (as an amazing piece of feedback put it) when interacting with a particular secret location on Steam Deck. Tested and fixed, happy secret hunting everyone! Cheers, Ariel (NvrSkipGameDay)

Update v.1.05c Overview - AKA I (do not) like big bugs and I cannot lie

I recently received a lot of feedback from new players (thank you everyone!) - so this update has a lot of quality of life changes and bug fixes. Some of them must have been added by my tired brain in subsequent updates and I just missed it until they were recently reported. Without further ado! Quality of Life Features: Added outlines to all major buttons to ensure it’s obvious which ones are selected. Allow ‘Enter/Return’ key on keyboard to enact ‘Play’ button on Level select. Previously only ‘Interact’ key was functional Made the super-secret level more just… secret. Allowed more interaction options at discovery point, and added the “Secret Level Unlocked” to the description. Bit o’ dialogue as well ;) Bug Fixes: Secret levels would unlock automatically once main tournament was beaten. Fixed an error in an if statement, now those levels only unlock after all 3 artifacts are found. LJ would “shed his mortal coil” (from a bug report, amazingly put!) after finding a secret room and returning to the previous one. He no longer enters the spirit realm on accident. Lv 31 was unlocking regardless of fulfilling the requirements. Fixed. (Along with a couple other locked levels) If only basic levels were unlocked, there was no way to get from the main course to level 25. Fixed. Removed hover effect on Steam Deck so the touch screen mouse cursor doesn’t confuse which button is selected. Allow D Pad to move downward in Pause Menu Gameplay: Changed the lower level goal of Level 11 to 350 from 650 as it was reported (and subsequently tested) as too hard. Side note: Having some distance from the initial creation of the game lets me understand level challenges a bit better! When I first launched (after 1000s of hours of creation/testing/etc) I thought this board might be too easy. Trying it two years later after a bit of space and… yeah, that board is HARD. Especially on controller. Thank you for the feedback! Graphics: General UI improvements for readability. Colors, outlines on...
