About this game
The Rune Gate has been breached. As the commander of the bridge guard, it's your duty to assemble a team of champions, each with unique specialties, to fend off the onslaught of enemies emerging from the gate. This is a deck-building roguelite that empowers you to customize your own cards by integrate various elemental runes.

The Rune system makes card customization swift and effortless. You have the freedom to forge synergies between cards, determining their power and utility. Insert attack runes for high-damage cards; use draw or energy runes for utility cards; and debuff runes transform your cards into potent curses. Want more versatility? Simply upgrade your card to add a new rune slot!

Currently, the game features nearly 200 unique runes, each with its own signature abilities and constraints. Players can acquire runes by winning combats, crafting them from lower-tier runes, or obtaining them through encounters and merchant inventory.

In the game, you lead a party of champions against adversaries. Each champion wields a specific type of weapon and utilizes unique runes. Every weapon type corresponds to a distinct deck, offering a unique set of cards for strategic deck-building. With 18 champions available, featuring three from each elemental type, a rich variety of team compositions and strategies awaits your command.
Gears and Augments
Not only do you acquire runes following combat, but you can also obtain gear and augments. Gear enhances your champions' offensive and defensive capabilities and includes runes for further customization. Augments provide unique buffs to your champions during combat, offering additional strategic depth.
Units to Summon
Followers represent another form of 'Gear' available in the game, capable of being summoned as allies during battles. They each possess a distinct set of cards that can be customized with runes, and can be a great help to your mid to late game strategy.
Meta Progression
Fame is earned through combat across different realms, and it serves as a key resource. You can utilize this fame to permanently unlock specific runes, granting yourself a range of advantages that significantly aid in progressing through future runs.

It's Time for v 1.0
After launching the Early Access in late August last year, I’ve made a series of updates to achieve the initial development goals and address various issues based on community feedback, all without compromising the vision: creating a Deckbuilder where you can fully customize your cards. The game is now at a point where I feel it is ready for full release, so here we are. What’s in this patch? This patch includes some small adjustments to the UI for widescreen compatibility and several bug fixes. Additionally, I’ve added a few new augments to enhance the defensive and offensive capabilities of certain elements (or lack thereof): Fire Wall (Fire): Every Burn you apply also grants you the same amount of block. Fertilizer (Earth): Turns your Regrow into Regrow+, which also increases your damage. Safe Guard (Lightning): Every attack you make gives a random ally 4 block. Relentless (Dark): Every time you attack, your damage increases by 2 (up to 100); resets when you kill an enemy. Plans After Release Going forward, I’ll be focusing on getting the game ready for other platforms while keeping an eye on any bugs that arise. In the meantime, if any fun rune or augment ideas come up, I’ll be sure to add them in. Thank you for your support!Read full article on Community Announcements (Devwind)AnnouncementsOfficial
v 0.95 Retribution Mode
Retribution Mode is now fully available. It introduces a slightly more challenging experience along with a leaderboard. Additionally, I've made several balance changes to Tier 4 runes to enhance their usability. Below are the details: Retribution Mode This mode offers endless challenges with progressively stronger enemies. Each challenge presents three trials for selection: Trial of the Soldier: The easiest difficulty with the fewest steps. Trial of the Champion: A more challenging trial with one additional step and an extra elite term added to each battle. Trial of the Hero: The most difficult trial with two additional steps and both an extra elite and boss term added to each battle. Harder trials provide greater rewards and higher leaderboard scores. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44441515/72365160b18a6d86ff644f187ed030532aa337fa.png Balance Update Suffer: Now lasts for 1 turn instead of triggering only once. Nurture: Now converts 150% of the target's Poison into Block, up from 100%. Surge: Now grants 20 Surge instead of 10 after defeating a unit. Cascade: Now grants 20 Cascade instead of 10 after defeating a unit. Refuel: Now grants 2 energy instead of 1 after defeating a unit. Drain and Undermine now cost 0 energy, down from 1. Other Changes Attacks no longer push enemies back in fast mode. Fixed a display issue where some cards are duplicated with certain runes. Fixed an issue where Vampire and Curse cause HP loss instead of restoration when used together. Fixed an issue preventing the Challenge menu from closing when the recruit menu appears at the start of a new run. Fixed an issue where sometimes the end game popup does not display after defeating the final boss in normal mode.Read full article on Community Announcements (Devwind)Patch NotesOfficial
v 0.94 Balance Update and New Languages
Most of last month was spent adding a few new languages to the game and ensuring all the text fits.. With most of the features completed, I've finally spent some time testing some weaker builds on the highest difficulty to ensure they are at least playable. Here are the details: New Languages The game now supports Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, France and German. Additionally, some English and Chinese texts have been reworded for better clarity (hopefully). You can switch the language in the settings menu. Balance Update Power: Your next attack deals 8/11/15/20 extra damage, stackable, remove after attack once. Power has been unplayable to say the least, even with the augment. In order to make power worthwhile throughout the game, I've now more than doubled the amount each one gives Smite: You gain Power equal to 50% (75%) of the damage dealt. Smite is crucial for Power's sustainability, having it cost 1 energy is just too hard to use. So I've reduced its energy cost from 1 to 0 Chill: You deal 5/8/11/15 less {Damage}, stackable, halve. Frostbite itself is very difficult to execute due to enemy's high damage, especially in higher difficulties. That's where Chill comes in, to make it more effective. I've greatly increased its strength Cold: Deal damage to your target equal to 100(150)% of their Chill stack. As an alternate damage mechanic, Cold is pretty hard to use due to its energy cost and the fact that Chill is hard to stack. So I increased its strength from 50 to 100% and reduced its cost to 0. With this change, the Cold Snap augment now raises its effectiveness from 100 to 200%. Sick: Trigger target's Poison 1/2/2/3 time(s). Poison decays very slowly, so its strength can't be too high. To compensate, I've changed Sick to a tiered rune, it can now trigger Poison up to 3 times instead of just 1 time. Talents: I've also updated a few champion's synergy runes to reflect the changes above. Unpredictable: Changed how the randomize works, it now randomizes based ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Devwind)Patch NotesOfficial
