About this game
The August Before is a meditative narrative 3D puzzle about cleaning up, sorting out and packing up your life before moving on. In Chapter One, play through the first snippets of the story and get acquainted with your room, and the people in your life.
Teenage love, first losses, and notes from friends are scattered in the corners: explore the details of the heroine's life, pack up the life you will take with you, and say goodbye - if you can.
And remember - you can't take the past with you.
All is well that ends well — and all is well that ends.

Clean up the room before leaving, find the necessary items, and pack them in a suitcase.

We're excited to roll out our next patch, featuring V-Sync, new graphics settings, and improved UX elements. Here's what’s new in this build: 1️⃣No PCs in outer space We've added V-Sync, a frame limiter, and resolution settings to help reduce CPU load and overheating. While some issues remain, we're actively working on a full fix. 2️⃣What's up with this wreath? We've introduced more hints to guide you smoothly toward the game's finale. 3️⃣What did I miss? Probably the puzzle clues! We've added extra guidelines to help with in-game puzzles. ⏳ Update schedule change Future patches won’t be as frequent as the last two, as we're temporarily freezing work on Chapter 1 to focus on Chapter 2. Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for playing our game! It really means a lot to us. Also, thank you for helping others in the discussion. Here is our first patch that fixes the most annoying bugs (and a couple of minor ones as well) Achievement "Dust off the past" is unlocked now. We saw, how many people were frustrated over it, so we made it our priority; You can't get stuck in a photo album anymore; The soft lock with the mug is fixed; Rotation for objects in the pink casket is fixed; Blocking volumes are set everywhere, so players cannot lose things under the bed, table, etc.; Magazines do not overlap with their storage anymore; In the next patch this week we will solve the problem with the flower sticker on the calendar and will also do some minor adjustments. We also remind you that if you always want to see hints on where to put items, you can enable it in the pause menu. That's it, folks!
