To Have and to Hold

About this game

Yuel’s life is a mess.

He’s twenty-eight years old, he works a boring office job, and he’s barely scraping by with his limited finances.

Throw in the fact that his wealthy father disowned him almost a decade ago, then died six months prior, and his life really couldn’t be any worse…

Or could it?

After being invited to his aunt’s wedding, Yuel reconnects with his handsome, easygoing older cousin, Tavi. A string of unfortunate circumstances lead Yuel to sharing a hotel room with Tavi for the wedding, and (more worryingly) the same bed.

With emotions running high and fancy champagne in abundance, what will happen next?

The answer: something Yuel will probably regret.

• 40k words of text (approx 2-4 hours of reading)

• Detailed character and background art

• A cute BL story about a couple of cousins

• Drunken confessions

• Emotional angst

Extra Chapter of BL VN All Scars and Starlight has been released!

Hello everyone! I've been working on this project for a while, and I'm proud to announce that I've released some DLC for my grimdark boys 'love' visual novel, All Scars and Starlight. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/1ee7b35019a5a9402a2d6188f4c7c4960cb361b2.png Scars is a BL story about a king whose throne was stolen from him in a coup, and the romance(?) which unfolds between the deposed king and his captor. As one might expect from the premise, it's rather grim, the characters have an incredibly unhealthy relationship dynamic, and there's a lot of drama. This is also an r18 visual novel with a fair amount of explicit scenes, so it is not appopriate for anybody under the age of 18. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/fb5691e059eba55c88397ffab76e1f78b1914f81.png The DLC adds about 80,000 words extra to the story, and it takes place one year after the 'good' and 'true' endings, but before the timeskip to the epilogues of both endings. To read the bonus chapter, you need to update the base game, buy the DLC, then read through either the 'good' or 'true' ending. You should be able to access the DLC after that. Please note: you will need to clear these two endings again, even if you achieved them once already, because I had to edit the code of the game a little to allow for the DLC to unlock. You can find the base game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2827190/All_Scars_and_Starlight/ And the DLC here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4279090/All_Scars_and_Starlight__Extra_chapter/ I hope you enjoy it, if miserable anime boys crying a lot are your thing! I know they're mine! You should heed the content warnings for this VN carefully, though, since there's some dark stuff here. - ebi x

Cute BL VN Where the Heart Rests has been released!

Hi everyone, Quick post to let you know that my cute new BL visual novel Where the Heart Rests has been released. It's a wholesome slice of life story inspired by the anime Usagi Drop. It's about a couple of men who adopt a young child. There's a lot of domestic fluff here, and some yearning between the two adult leads. The romantic relationship is a bit of a slowburn, and it's kind of lowkey. There's also a fair bit of hurt/comfort here because I think it's cute! This should be a nice read for people who like cosy and cute romance stories with relatively low stakes and some light drama. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/b42dabbf4075a2c61a31bbea295c85d2329bfea6.png https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/55e0748c4d06143f246b1749b7c484d0ada9496a.png You can buy the VN here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4099090/ But please read the mature content warning. There is no r18 content in this visual novel, but it might contain some themes which would upset people. - ebi x

Beneath the Bleeding Moon has been released!

Hello everybody, I'm making an announcement to let you know that Beneath the Bleeding Moon has (finally) been released! https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/70b21da0c6eb39cb7c621a16a085042789719102.png I first showed off the demo of this VN 2 years ago, so getting it across the finish line was a bit of a challenge haha ;; I persevered, however, and now the full visual novel is out! Bleeding Moon is a historical boys' love visual novel set in Japan. Follow Haru, a cross-dressing young man, as he goes on a journey with the devious thief, Kishou, to break an ancient curse. Bleeding Moon is a little different from my usual visual novels in that it's less of a character drama and more of an adventure story. There's quite a few fight scenes, and it's (generally) light-hearted in tone, though there are a few darker moments. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/58a3b3f6c751b8dc76294c111b49a75b8e9c367a.png There's also an r18 patch for anybody who wants it, which adds about 20k more words to the story and several animated(!!!) r18 scenes. This is the first time I've added animated adult CGs into any of my VNs, so I hope people enjoy it. You can check the VN out here if you're curious: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2553080 Thank you for all of your support over the years! It's appreciated! I'll keep working hard to make more visual novels that people will enjoy! - ebi x

How to Melt a Maiden's Heart has been released! \o/

Hello everyone! I'm writing a post to let you know that my newest BL VN, How to Melt a Maiden's Heart (or Melty Heart for short), has been released! Yay \o/ https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/efbfe94f60616a4bb726cfa3fa288e2246e53e46.png Melty Heart is a cute slice of life story set on the fictional Japanese island of Omorishima (whose name might ring a bell if you've read my earlier yuri VN, My Dear Prince. The VNs take place on the same island and there's a couple of references to MDP in Melty Heart.) The story centers around Reo, a delinquent who doesn't care about his grades, or his appearance, or school in general, and Yuuma, the serious head of the student council who's always picking fights with Reo. Reo can't stand Yuuma, and the feeling is mutual... But this changes when Reo discovers, quite by accident, that Yuuma has been working part-time at a local café while dressing as a maid. Reo uses this knowledge to his advantage, and decides to blackmail Yuuma. He coerces Yuuma into helping him with his Love Quest to win over his childhood friend, Chinami. Reo's sure, with Yuuma's help, Chinami will finally fall for him, and they'll be able to live happily ever after... So why does Reo keep thinking about Yuuma, damn it?! https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/3280d29ca52b8266170dfe821c52a4c040c276fc.png This VN is suitable for all ages and doesn't contain any sexual content or anything particularly fanservicey, apart from a brief scene of Reo in the bath. There's some cursing, but nothing too excessive. The VN is available on PC, mac, and linux, and you can check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3096440 As always, I hope you enjoy it, and happy early holidays! - ebi x

My Confounding Cat is Criminally Cute has been released!

Hello everyone \o/ I’m writing a quick post to let you know that I’ve released a shiny VN, My Confounding Cat is Criminally Cute (that’s such an extra title lmao…) https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/b8127a7a6765fa3002d04ba8d75f0cb067de910a.png Criminal Cat is a relatively short BL VN without any choices or branches. It follows a grumpy wizard, Aster, who lives a reclusive life deep in the woods and brews potions to get by. Aster is taciturn by nature, and he swears he isn’t lonely! He’s perfectly fine keeping to himself, thank you very much… Until a black cat tumbles down his chimney one day, throwing his whole life into disarray! After taking the black cat in, Aster soon discovers this clumsy kitten is no ordinary feline. He is, in actuality, a young man called Blaise, who has been cursed by a witch to assume the form of a cat during the sunlight hours – but why? What did Blaise do to get cursed, and can Aster help him? It’ll be a huge pain, but Aster will (reluctantly) do his best. He’ll never be able to get rid of Blaise if he can’t, and all Aster really wants is a quiet life. It’s not like he’s going to fall for his catboy companion or anything, right? …Right? https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/89d5e81952b23d62d10d692eeb78f042ffc53244.png Criminal Cat is a pretty sweet and light story, and it doesn’t contain any explicit content. The steamiest thing you’ll find here are a handful of kiss scenes (well, how else are you supposed to break a curse?!) The adorable art is by Ekkoberry, who handled the character sprites, CGs, and the UI! I usually work with multiple artists per project, so having one person manage all of the art-related tasks was a pretty new experience for me. I’m really happy with how this VN turned out: I think it looks very cute and cohesive! Please consider checking the VN out if you're interested! It's not that long, so it's pretty cheap! And, as always, feel free to leave a review to let me know what you think....
