Take on the role of many brave heroes as they each attempt to slay the Minotaur and save ancient Greece in this mythical roguelike!

The Minotaur is relentless and kills without mercy. Those who enter the labyrinth never return. Defeating the Minotaur will require careful planning and great skill in combat. Do you have what it takes to slay the Minotaur?


Find powerful weapons and helmets, each with a unique attribute and special move! Be it a devastating strike or casting powerful lightning bolts like Zeus! Although burned by the repeated failures of previous heroes, Aphrodite will help you slay the Minotaur by upgrading your agility and strength, or even granting you new abilities! With her help you can become an unstoppable Minotaur slayer!


The Minotaur’s domain isn't home to just the Minotaur. Failed heroes of the past still walk the labyrinth’s halls as zombies. Giant cyclopes and other foul beings call the labyrinth their home. Defeat these mythical creatures to earn pearls that can be traded with Aphrodite to become stronger and to open chests containing powerful weaponry. If you want a chance at slaying the Minotaur, you must fight your way through the labyrinth!


Slaying the Minotaur is a battle in itself, but how quickly and efficiently you defeat the Minotaur is the real challenge for those who seek it. Earn ranks for each time you successfully slay the Minotaur and complete challenges to unlock cosmetics! Race against the clock and slay the Minotaur in record time! Slay the Minotaur is all about replayability as you become a more and more legendary minotaur slayer!

The Bleakest Keep is a lot like Slay the Minotaur but with its own twist. The Bleakest Keep is a dark fantasy action roguelike. This time you must slay a multitude of horrors as you climb your way to the top of the tower to kill a dark wizard. For The Bleakest Keep, I wanted to lean more into horror. A lot of players found Slay the Minotaur to be pretty frightening, so I want to make this game feels a bit more spooky in atmosphere as well as gameplay. Not really terrifying, but I do hope to scare you a little bit! I also want this game to be more random. Slay the Minotaur had plenty of randomness, but it was also purposely not as random as a lot of other roguelikes. I don't want to share too much yet, but I am trying out different kinds of ways to randomize the game this time around. Now that the game is announced, I'm hoping to share updates on The Bleakest Keep more frequently. Following on YouTube and Twitter/X is the best place to stay updated!   Slay the Minotaur | Summer Outfits!

  This is a tiny update that adds 2 new unlockable outfits and fixes some bugs! Thanks for playing! New Added unlockable summer outfits for Aphrodite and the Minotaur! Changes Asterion's Spare Axe's description has been updated. Bug Fixes Fixed level 2 gorgons and cyclopes having their increased speed disabled after talking with Aphrodite. Fixed restarting from the pause menu failing to reset the amount of times you were hit from your previous attempt. Fixed Temporary Statue spawning on top of Drop of Nectar when both are bought from the same shop. Hitting pause should now close item descriptions. While Bottle Acceleration was active, using the Horn of Asterion and equipping another item while the horn was active could remove the newly equipped item instead of the horn. This has been fixed.

  Slay the Minotaur | Second Major Update Bug Fixes!

  This is just a tiny patch that fixes some bugs! Thanks for playing! Bug Fixes and Changes If you have fast restart and remember recent names enabled, you can restart an attempt in the pause menu. Your camera settings will save between attempts. Asterion's Spare Axe and the Spear of Ares Invincibility when using special attack decreased. This change is more noticeable when using the Spear of Ares. Brightened some areas of the labyrinth. Fixed the Cyclops Slayer and Gorgon Slayer achievements activating while playing Endless Mode. Second Patch Bug Fixes Right after releasing the first patch I discovered a serious bug when you restocking the store. As long as you had at least 250 pearls you could restock the store. This could even give you a negative amount of pearls. This has now been fixed! I'm planning on adding at least one more outfit for both Aphrodite and the Minotaur at a later date. The theme is summer, Beach Aphrodite and Lifeguard Minotaur!

  Slay the Minotaur Major Update 2

  THE SECOND UPDATE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BggsCw-OTDI If you want to help support me and my game, the best thing you can do is subscribe to my YouTube channel, follow me on Twitter, and leave a review on Steam! Although this might be the last Slay the Minotaur content update, this does help me continue to work on new games! I also want to say thanks for playing! Even though I keep saying this is probably the last content update, it is still possible I may return to work on the game again, but don't expect another major content update to happen unless I say I am definitely working on one! I'm very happy with how much content the game offers right now, and I think everything is in a good place. Now, because this may be the last Slay the Minotaur update, the best place to know what I do next will be to follow on YouTube and Twitter. So if you love the game and want to know what comes next and haven't followed there, you really should! Thanks for playing, everyone! I hope you'll join me in whatever I end up doing next! But for now, please enjoy the update! New Extra Endless Mode Added This is an extra game mode where you can fight enemies in waves that become stronger and stronger! I hope people like this extra mode, but it is still just an extra mode and not the main event. I think it is pretty good practice for the main mode, and it is a fun way to try out combinations you may not normally try in the main mode! Outfits Aphrodite has 4 unlockable outfits, and the Minotaur has 3 unlockable outfits! You will need to complete challenges to unlock them! Cloaks After slaying the Minotaur with an A rank, you can equip a cloak and even choose from a selection of colors! Wings If you slay the Minotaur in under 10 minutes, you can equip wings on your feet! They also come in a selection of colors, but you can increase the amount of color the faster you slay the Minotaur!
