About this game

"A good soldier always follows orders..."

Thrust into the macabre depths of Site 41, you play as a disoriented soldier caught in an emergency of seismic proportions. Navigate disturbing environments, unravel cryptic puzzles and uncover grotesque truths in this chilling, thrilling reinvention of the point-and-click horror genre.

TERMINAL ERROR unfolds within the bleak and oppressive tunnels of Site 41, a secretive underground facility harbouring classified, experimental technologies. Constructed by the Island Armed Forces (IAF), an advanced military power, the compound was meant to be a fortress of cutting edge power. But this perfect machine conceals some dark secrets…

The story begins when a disoriented soldier awakens alone in a suspiciously desolate guardhouse. Contacting a mysterious commander through the crackling radio, the newfound allies investigate the cause of the facility-wide shutdown in hopes of containing the source of the disaster. Yet, what they uncover is far more horrifying and deadly. Descend into a nightmarish rabbit hole of hidden horrors and dangerous secrets lurking beneath the surface...

A Brand New Experience │ TERMINAL ERROR V0.33

WE'RE 90% THERE!With V0.33, we've fleshed out all the mechanics, aesthetics, plotlines and experience for Terminal Error: Episode 1. This version is a huge upgrade from our last update, introducing expanded and refined maps, more innovative mechanics, and a completable game with an actual conclusion!Although we've been testing and debugging the game, Terminal Error is not there yet. For this last stretch of the Early Access, we need help finding Bugs and suggesting improvements from the community! What is Included? As we've shared in previous Devlogs, Terminal Error has gotten an entirely new Overworld UI and touched-up Interfaces.Aesthetics and Atmosphere have also been improved, with a greater utilisation of our Slideshow and Pop-Up systems, paired with the use of in-game Animated Scenes. The behavioural mechanics of our Monster and Boss have also been improved, with most loose ends tied up.The Plot and Details have also been largely panned out, giving the game a more complete and fleshed-out experienced as compared to earlier iterations. For those who have been following for a long time, it is a Major Update, giving this game new life and a more concrete gaming experience. So When Is The Full Release? If everything goes according to plan, we aim to tidy up and package the game by the Steam Scream Fest! It would be a fitting time to conclude this project and properly push out this unique Horror game! In the meantime, help us GET THE WORD OUT! We need as much support and as much attention as possible for this last push!

    Animations │ Devlog #10

sNew AnimationsTaking more inspiration from Indie Horror RPGs, we've started work on several in-game animation cutscenes. The audio and pacing still need some edits, but the general idea is there. Here is a quick look at the progress we've made!Toilet SceneBe careful when entering the Toilet... You never know what you might see...Vent SceneThe infection has infiltrated deeper than it looks... The vents are overflowing with flesh and gore...Flesh Cave SceneEven the tunnels and caverns have been completely taken over by the flesh, digging it's roots in every crevice and corner...Carpark SceneThe carpark is overrun... If I were you, I wouldn't park my car there anymore...Combat Ration SceneThe food doesn't look appetising either... I don't even know what's in there...Computer SceneEven the devices aren't safe...Briefing Room SceneAnd the briefing room is compromised... Is anywhere safe anymore? What Next? This is just a sneak peak at the animations. There's more to come and there's a lot more editing and sound work to do before we can achieve the result we want. Expect a handful more animations in the near future, likely with better effects and sounds in the final product.
