About this game

Into the Dungeon is a roguelike deck builder with online coop. Play as one of 4 classes to battle creatures from a grim fantasy world tainted by evil. Build your deck with class unique cards, unlock artifacts that augment the way you play, and team-up with cross class synergies.

Into the Dungeon features 4 unique character classes, each with their own unique perks, cards and playstyles.

Classes

  • The Wizard deals high damage and manipulates the Exhaust card mechanic to his advantage. His unique class artifact the Mana Stone carries mana over through rounds allowing him to deal massive damage with high cost cards.

  • The Paladin can sustain heavy damage with his unique class artifact Plate Armor. He utilizes combos between offensive and defensive cards to deal heavy damage while maintaining his defensive stats.

  • The Viking deals massive damage through single turn combos while granting herself and her allies damage buffs and resistances. Her unique class artifact the Three Leaf Clover enhances her multi-attack playstyle, increasing her damage on every third strike.

  • The Bard is the most complex of the classes with a totally different playstyle from the rest thanks to her unique class artifact the Musicians Trick. Her artifact builds up power every time she plays a card, unleashing the stored energy whenever she plays her unique Song cards. Additionally, She utilizes poisons to her advantage, building up damage over the course of a combat.

What makes Into the Dungeon different from other cooperative card-battlers is that all players act in real time. This keeps the pace of the game fast and fun as you simultaneously blast your foes and increase your power. Delve deep into a roguelike deck builder with an easy introduction and a deep challenge to keep you engaged.

Hardcore Mode

Upon completing the game in classic mode you will unlock Hardcore Mode. This mode is designed to challenge experienced rogue-like deck-builder fans. It includes boosted stats for enemies as well as a round timer for some added pressure.

Multiplayer Saves

Pickup where you left off with auto saving in both single player and multiplayer. Simply have the host re-open the lobby and reconnect to jump back into the action.

    Multiplayer Save System Out Now!

Save System! Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience while I've been working on this key feature. Multiplayer saving is now available! Multiplayer Save-system The game will auto-save every time you enter the map scene or enter the portal room after a boss (you will see a little wizard icon in the top right when the game is saving). To reconnect to a game, the host clicks "Continue Multiplayer Run" in the main menu, and all players that we're previously in the match reconnect to this lobby via a join-code. You will not be able to start the run until all previous players have connected. If you try to join a run that you were not part of, the system will reject your join attempt. Changes Multiplayer Save System! Added the "Dark Wizard" boss variant for the forest! Unique icons for each boss appear on the map in preparation for more boss variants to come... Buffed Abomination boss slightly in hardcore mode Changed the goblins in hardcore mode slightly Bug Fixes Added a cloud diagnostics service so I can review crash logs when they happen Fixed a bug where Barricade for the Viking was costing twice as much mana as it should Hardcore achievements for the Forest and Desert should register properly now UI fixes for ultrawide resolution Fixed a bug where Chorus of Courage for Bard was not working Fixed a bug where an armored skeleton was not appearing for clients in hardcore mode in one of the encounters Added a fix for a bug where the game got caught in an infinite loop if you died to poison Coming Next With working on the multiplayer save system I have all the systems set up to allow players to view each others decks and hands. Exciting! Next up I will be working on viewing your teammates decks and hands, and a Desert boss variant. Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! Save System out now!

Save System! Hello everyone! Like I said in my previous announcement I wanted to get a single player save system out as soon as possible, so here it is! A multiplayer save system is on its way as well, but I wanted to push this update right away. Additionally, I've added support for ultra wide monitors. Changes Single-player save system! The game will auto-save every time you enter the map screen and when you enter the portal room Added support for ultrawide monitors At the first shop before the Forest only 150g cost artifacts will appear Player names now start at 1 instead of 0 (Player 1 instead of Player 0) Made a few balance changes to the giant and the fairies Changed the scaling of cards in the shop to hopefully make it more readable Hardcore mode and Classic mode are available from the beginning Removed the option to start from the Desert or the Dungeon since these were band-aid fixes for not having a save system. Bug Fixes Added missing upgrades for the Windwhirl card for Viking Hardcore achievements should be unlocking now Coming Next Over the next week I will be working on a multiplayer save system and boss variants for the forest and desert. Let me know what you think! I appreciate the comments on the last post! If theres something you want to see in game or you just want to share how these updates make you feel, please feel free to post below! Jamie FROG Game Studios

    Save System is Coming!

Thank you Hi Dungeon Divers, Thank you to everyone who has been playing over the past launch week and welcome all new players! Into the Dungeon has surpassed my expectations for launch and with that has come some really important feedback. Feedback I've been monitoring feedback on the forums and in reviews and I've taken note of it all. However, two main things have come to my attention: Into the Dungeon needs a save system There needs to be enemy variation from run to run Roadmap I care about the success and lasting enjoyability of Into the Dungeon so I'm planning to do something about these sore points. Save System Moving forward, along with fixing other bugs, I will be working on implementing a save system for single-player so you can stop mid-way through a run and pick it up later where you left off. It will also auto-save in the case you run into a game crashing bug. (On the note game crashing bugs, the one where the game crashes upon entering the last boss, I'm really sorry to everyone who has experienced this. I deeply want to get it fixed and will continue to work on the issue for the coming update) Just to reiterate, I will be implementing a Single-player Save System first. Saving for multiplayer will likely come shortly after the single player system but I foresee it having some added complexity and I want to get a single-player version out ASAP. Content Update Following the single-player save system I will release a free content update. The content update will add a new boss as a variation for the Forest and Desert. With each boss countering a certain playstyle, this will hopefully make each run feel more fresh and exciting. Let me know what you think! If you're reading this post and your excited about the changes let me know in the comments! I check these posts frequently and your feedback is what guides my development, so please speak up! Additionally, I've heard mixed feedback on the timer in Hardcore mode. I found it really fun when I was playing with...
