Embark on a poignant adventure as white crow Ankou navigates a demon-infested world. Released in 2026, Provoron blends casual exploration with deep, personal storytelling from indie developer Tara Kan.
About this game

Immerse yourself psychologically in a meaningful journey, where reality is clouded by blinding illusions, and inner demons literally become visible. Ankou sees what others can't see: pesky red imps in the heads of surrounding crows. When these creatures become too great in number, Ankou sets out on a journey to figure out what's going on, and find a way to rid the world of these plagues.
But no one has asked him to be saved. Could it all be in his head? What if Ankou is mistaken? Or the opposite, what if he's the only one who can see the truth?

The choice that matters

Fishing for Bugs
Hey there, travelers! Work's still going on some minor but important game improvements. A fresh patch dropped today, and here’s what got fixed: • Added a slider for character voice volume; • Fixed those interaction spots that wouldn’t show up under certain conditions when you hit Tab (Stopping with Fjel, Asterop’s house); • Fixed mismatched names and voice lines in dialogues; • Removed puzzle-piece graphic glitch some players got after the trial; • Fixed a bug where players accidentally triggered the same Asterop dialogue twice and locked themselves out of the other one; …plus a bunch of other small stuff, like dialogue typos and some optimization tweaks. The more people play and give feedback, the easier it is to catch these little bugs and iron them out. PC specs, screen resolution, and all kinds of random factors can play into it. And your input always means a lot to a solo dev. Thanks for the help! Always yours, TaraRead full article on Community Announcements (ungeziefear)AnnouncementsOfficial
Squashing Some Bugs
Hey there, travelers! Just dropped a solid patch for the game that takes care of a bunch of small but annoying bugs you might’ve run into. Here’s what’s new/fixed up:That unused branch in the river won’t block your way anymore; The Engine of Automatism location now actually has physical walls;Loading a save with the Engine of Automatism will now drop Ankou in the right spot; You’ll now get a warning if you try to skip the prologue and jump straight in;Added an FPS cap to keep things running smoother;Loading a save where you’re holding an underground flyer will now show it properly; The "Spot the Difference" puzzle won’t get cropped at the edges on screens under 1920x1080 anymore; On repeat playthroughs, all puzzles should now work as intended; The "Detective" achievement will now unlock correctly (after finishing the "Spot the Difference" puzzle); Your feedback is super helpful, so if you run into any new bugs or old ones that still act up, please drop a line about it. Provoron is here!
Hey there, travelers! So, today I’ve finally got the news you’ve all been waiting for — Provoron is officially releasing! After all these years, all the people I’ve met along the way, all the tough calls... the game is finally becoming something separate from me. I can’t change anything major in it anymore. And honestly? I don’t even feel like I need to.Is Provoron perfect now? Not at all. It’s got plenty of flaws — and plenty of good stuff too. And I really, really want to fall in love with it. Not so much for the things it usually gets praised for, but more for its rough edges — because they didn’t just show up for no reason. They mean a lot to me, because they’re the result of the choices that actually got this game out the door. For me, loving this game is kind of like loving and accepting myself as just some regular person who doesn’t nail everything on the first try. It’s not perfect, but it’s real. And now it actually exists, and that just warms my tired soul more than I can say.Today, I’m sharing with you what I’ve been living and breathing for the past few years — something that always felt so hazy, like it only existed in my head. And starting today, you can help me make Provoron truly alive — by playing it, watching a playthrough, or even just reading about it!Thanks so much for waiting all this time.Always yours, TaraRead full article on Community Announcements (Hast)AnnouncementsOfficial
