About this game
Summer vacation has only just begun, and the town of Northsouth has descended into chaos! The nerds and goths are at war with the jocks and bullies, the LARPers are running around with capes and foam bats, the dropouts are tagging whatever they can, and the outcasts... Well, the outcasts just want to be left alone.
You play as the "drifter": a new teen in town with the ability to fit in with ANY clique - through your actions, you will decide the fate of Northsouth, and EVERY teen within it!
Numbers and stats are for nerds! Teenage Wasteland is built around its robust "Trait" system, sporting over 60 unlockable traits that affect gameplay, dialogue, and choices!
Every single trait is a character - they have opinions, and will often commentate on any given situation you may find yourself in. They even have relationships with one another, so be careful what traits you decide to recruit! Some may not get along...
Five companions that feel alive! Frank, May, Mickey, Demonica and Audrey are some of the most fleshed-out followers in indie RPG HISTORY! They react differently to everything you do, have thousands of lines of dialogue, can change the outcome of quests, and they each have their own questline!
Every NPC is a character - there are no repeated lines of dialogue between NPCs in the entire game - every teen has something unique to say or do, and almost every object has a description or event tied to it. Click everyone and everything!
Be the teen YOU want to be! Do you wanna be a meathead jock? A snidey nerd? A sadistic jerk? A rebellious anarchist? An eccentric freak who licks walls and eats sand? In TW, you can be any of these things! Or, none of them! Or, all of them!!

The first version of Teenage Wasteland is now OUT! We're calling it 1.0, and here's what it features:Five side quests, and a BUTTLOAD of activities! You can shake down a mean girl (or GET shaken down and end up in a trash can!), help vandalise a poster with a punky goth girl, help a nerd who's been attacked by a wedgie-themed vigilante, you can even eat sand!Explore almost the WHOLE of the North side of town and enter a bunch of cool locations, like the Pizza Shack, the arcade, the video store, the library, and the grocery store, just to name a few!You can unlock over TWENTY traits, like \, \, \, \, \, and \!TWO companions! Yes, TWOOOO! Frank and May! We're Going Early Access (Don't Worry)
Yo, buttlicks! So, after much thought, we've decided it best to go Early Access with Teenage Wasteland, aaaaand I'm gonna explain why! Quickly! So, Teenage Wasteland is a huge game, with loads of side quests, activities, characters, blah, blah, blah. We really want people to get their hands on the game as soon as possible, and we want people to give feedback as the game's being developed, so we can make it the most rad thing it can possibly be! We're planning on releasing updates location-by-location - TW is split up into 4 main hub areas (the north, south, east and west sides of town) and we want to release major updates in correlation to the completion of these areas! So, currently, we're working on getting the north side of town playable, with a multitude of quests, areas, activities, a brand new companion, new cliques, etc. Once we believe it's worthy enough of release, we'll... Yeah, we'll release it! With each major update to the game (each being about 8 or so months apart) we'll be adding EVEN more stuff to previously released areas, like quests and perks and locations and stuff! We'll be releasing these updates until the main game and story are complete, and worthy of being labelled as a "full release"! The main story will not be shown within any of these Early Access updates, nor will certain areas of the game, as we want to save that stuff for the full release, along with other minor and major additions! In terms of pricing, don't worry, the game will be priced fairly - we don't aim to rip people off, heh. Even the first major update we release will be filled with enough content to last for multiple hours! So... Yeah! Any questions, just ask! The First of Many Updates/Sneak Peek at the Goths!
'Sup, nerds! ːsteamhappyː Welcome to the first update for "Teenage Wasteland": the greatest teen-based RPG set in the early 2000's during a summer vacation with inspiration from games like Fallout: New Vegas and Bully, ever! As we all know, reading is boring, so I'm gonna make this quick - I'd hate to take time away from your SUPER busy schedule, and all... So! First thing's first: development on the full game is going VERY well! Since releasing the demo and making the game's page public a couple months ago, we've been hard at work making new sprites, backgrounds, side missions, perks, skills, blah, blah, blah. We'll be regularly sharing our work here on Steam, with screenshots and gifs and updates and stuff! On top of that, we've also figured out how we're going to be releasing the game, and how long we plan on it taking, as well! Another update will be released that covers our "Roadmap to Release" in more detail, if you care about that kinda thing. Suffice to say, we should hopefully have something NEW for everyone to play """soon"""... ish.
