About this game
A mistery to solve
In Just in Crime you play Mr. Flurfels McGoodboy, a clever detective who in his many (dog) years has solved countless cases. But when at a birthday party one of the guests eats the whole cake on the sly, he will be forced to collaborate with Catarina; an apprentice sorceress who will allow him to travel back in time and check what everyone present was doing during the crime.
Investigate the crime scene / Explore every nook and cranny
Move freely through the crime scene. Explore every corner, examine every object, talk to everyone involved, unlock new paths with your intellect... All that while Catarina faithfully follows you!
Travel through time
Catarina will allow you to explore the 100 seconds leading up to the crime. Find out where each suspect was and what they were doing at every moment. Uncover events that happened in parallel. Confirm alibis, search for motives, find distractions...
Make deductions
Collect clues called 'Ideas' during your investigation. Store them in the Memory Palace, a presentation of your mind space. Determine which are relevant and which are not. Combine them into logic deductions to generate new Ideas and progress through the case.
Put your wits to the test
Interrogate the suspects. Obtain new Ideas. Cross-check alibis. Use the multiple-choice option to select exactly what to ask. And when they confront you...Present Ideas as evidence and dismantle your opponents' arguments!

Hiya! Catarina here! Co-star of Just in Crime. Though I’m the only one bringing any charm to the game, so I might as well be the main character. As you might know, we’re taking part in the Wholesome Games Celebration, the Steam festival dedicated to cozy, heartwarming games made with lots of love. Well, the event is going amazingly, and we’ve been hit with a truckload of wishlists. So Flurfy and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every single one means the world to us! Flurfy! Say something to them! ... Flurfy said something about me being way smarter and wiser than him. I thought this was "Steam news", not "stuff everyone already knows." Ho ho ho. The festival ends on August 13th, so if you haven't tried the demo yet, there's still time! ...I mean, you’ll always have time. We’re not taking the demo down when it ends. But the folks in my marketing crash course told me to create a sense of urgency. So...Uhm...LAST CHANCE TO PLAY THROUGH THE DEMO WHILE THE EVENT IS STILL LIVE! FOMO FOMO!!
