About this game

Roy Rattler is a survival-horror FPS about being trapped in a theme park after a biotech experiment gone wrong brings it's collection of characters to life as murderous mascots! Players will have to think to survive as they engage in non-linear exploration and tense combat with limited resources against a variety of seemingly unstoppable threats.

Explore:

-Non-linear objectives means that you can tackle the game in a variety of different ways, with the player being able to pick and choose what tasks they want to complete first, dealing with all the advantages and disadvantages that come with them.

-An interconnected game world that takes the form of a sprawling theme park

-You are not alone. The theme park's titular mascot, Roy Rattler, is both your closest ally and greatest tool! Utilize his upgrade-able cartoon biology to unlock abilities such as: Flashlight Eyes, Grappling Hook Tongue or the Giga-Chomp to find hidden passages and alternate routes toward your objective.

Survive:

-You are not defenseless. While Roy isn't much of a fighter, the player will have access to an arsenal of weapons and tools including the Copperhead. A battery-powered, electrical-bolt firing revolver that doubles as a way to power the various machines and systems around the theme park.

-The theme park's Star Characters cannot be defeated by conventional means and are as persistent as they are deadly. While minor threats can be dispatched, Players will have to find a way to stun the Stars, sneak past them or find their secret weakness if they hope to survive the night!

-Manage your inventory in a way that should be very familiar to genre fans!

"Where's The Halloween Update?" & Incoming Roadmap

Hi everyone, You may be wondering where the Halloween Update is and why the current update is completely and utterly broken. Well I'll be frank with you, I've been having a lot of first-time game dev issues that I'm only encountering now because Roy Rattler far exceeds the scale of anything I've done in the past for both better and for worse. Many of these issues include Unity becoming unstable, code compilation times increasing and the root cause of a number of the bugs you're seeing on your end: Bugs that don't appear in the Unity editor and only appear in exported builds of the game. All that being said, I am deeply sorry for the state of the game but am dedicated to making sure that the final product of both Roy Rattler and it's demo are good. I have a true love of the mascot horror subgenre and the intent with making Roy Rattler was always to make a mascot horror game with a more ambitious gameplay scope than what's typically seen in this subgenre. In line with that and in line with my goals for Roy Rattler, I'll be releasing a development roadmap tomorrow that details and outlines the future of Roy Rattler's development plans as well as an update that fixes the softlocks that ended up in the current demo. Until next time, Kaiju
