About this game
SURVIVING DEPONIA
“New Era - Same Trash”
7 years after we said “Goodbye, Deponia!” the once lovely little trash planet has turned into a Mad Max-ian nightmare: Elysium, the floating high society citadel, has crashed onto Deponia’s surface and brought with it not just a never-before-seen water shortage, but new structures and a new order as well.
Master Deponia’s harsh landscape, meet new as well as old friends and start carving out your path from heaps of junk!

BUILD YOUR HOME ON YOUR FAVORITE TRASH PLANET
Gather resources and craft your own home on Deponia. It might be garbage - but it’s your garbage!SURVIVE THE HARSH WORLD OF DEPONIA
Deponia has changed since we last visited. If it’s not the dangerous living conditions that bring you to your knees, the monsters, both creatures and humans alike, surely will!OPEN A NEW CHAPTER
Even though Surviving Deponia can be enjoyed as a stand-alone experience, it takes place right after the Point & Click Adventure Series “Deponia” and gives fans canonical closure about Elysium’s fate and Deponia’s citizens.

New Look, New Show - Still Daedalic
Heyho everyone, The recent years have been an exciting journey for us. We've welcomed incredible indie developers, published games across all kinds of genres, and continued to grow alongside the amazing communities, like yourself. Today, we're excited to share the next step in that journey. Over the past two decades, we have grown from a game developer into an international publisher working with talented indie studios from around the world. While a lot has changed, one thing hasn't: our passion for unique games and the people who create them. To reflect who we are today - and where we're heading next - we're introducing our new visual identity. The iconic feather remains part of our logo as a nod to our history, while our updated colors, typography, and overall design give us a cleaner and more modern look that better represents the diverse games and developers we work with. But a new look deserves something to celebrate. Daedalic Days - Late at Night On August 13 at 9PM CEST / 12PM PST, we'll be going live with Daedalic Days - Late at Night, our biggest showcase dedicated to everything coming next from us and our development partners. Expect brand-new announcements, exclusive reveals, fresh gameplay, updates on highly anticipated projects, and a few surprises along the way. Additionally to talking about your all-time favorite trash planet Deponia, other games included are:BarotraumaThe Curse of the Crimson StagWoodoStar Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown…and more Whether you're here only for Survivng Deponia or maybe even heartfelt adventures, challenging strategy games, spooky experiences, cooperative fun, or narrative-driven worlds, we are sure, we will make it worth it for you. You can watch the showcase live on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam. Don’t miss it! Daedalic EntertainmentRead full article on Community Announcements (Penta)AnnouncementsOfficial
End of Playtest
Heyho everyone,Normally we would start with saying that we hope that you enjoyed our playtest - which is ending right now after 4 weeks of runtime - but thanks to your great participation in our survey, we already know how you feel - very clearly. Almost 600 of you answered our survey - that is a rough participation rate of 18% - which, if you know a little bit about online-surveys, is an exceptional rate. Thanks again for your dedication and warm embrace! Now it is time for us to go back into our tinkering-cave and transform your feedback into meaningful changes, adjustments and refinements. Obviously it won’t be possible to tackle each and every thought you had after playing - but there are some clear focus points that shine through most of the answers.(The rule of 3 says that it’s funny when we thank you again, right?!)So thanks again \awkward pause for laughter] for your participation and stay tuned for more information!Trash-y Regards!Daedalic Entertainment & AtomicTorchRead full article on Community Announcements (Penta)AnnouncementsOfficial
Closed Beta Playtest Start
Heyho everyone, the time has finally come - our Surviving Deponia Closed Beta Playtest is starting today! We are incredibly excited to open the doors and let you take the first look at our newest narrative-driven survival experience. Over the past months, the team has put a tremendous amount of work into shaping the game’s systems, flow, and storytelling - and now it’s your turn to jump in and help us make it even better. Playtest Access & Rollout Starting today, the playtest will be gradually rolled out to all selected participants. If you signed up and were selected, you will receive a notification via Steam once the build is available for you to download. Please note that access may not unlock for everyone at the exact same time - we are releasing it in waves to ensure stability. Additionally to Keyboard and Mouse, Steam Deck and Controller support is integrated. For controller we recommend an Xbox Gamepad. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44232491/1b6541223d362fbca1504f49af1674193130e36f.gif Language Information As this is an in-development version, the playtest will be available in English only. Additional languages - including German and others - are planned for the final release. We appreciate your understanding here, as this allows us to focus on core gameplay and technical improvements during this phase. Important Notes on Sharing We kindly ask you to not stream, record, or share any content from the playtest online (YouTube, Twitch, etc). This version represents an early state of development and does not reflect the final quality or content of the game. Publicly shared footage could easily lead to misunderstandings about the final experience. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44232491/456cc1ca6ba7548b44bc2d81759ec659fa98f51b.png Your Feedback Matters At the end of your playtest session, you will have the opportunity to fill out a survey (in English) We strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts - whether it’s about gameplay, pacing, technical issues, or overal...Read full article on Community Announcements (Penta)AnnouncementsOfficial
Closed Beta Playtest ahead!
Heyho everyone, It has been a while since we reached out the last time - we know - though, considering what we are preparing for you right now, we hope that you can forgive us in some way: We want to invite you to our first official closed beta test for Surviving Deponia, our newest narrative-driven Survival spectacle! In the past months we have put blood, sweat and a looots of tears into the game, made decisions, eventually changed those decisions again and reworked chunks of the general game flow. Obviously, the fine tuning ahead of us is redundant if we don’t listen to you, our dedicated Deponia Community, that supported us through all those years. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44232491/52b858110ea04a8ea8ce7f41c8a4c38cc84fe11b.png This is why starting 30th of march, we will have our Surviving Deponia Closed Beta Playtest running. You will be able to play the first area of the game and get familiar with the gameplay and storyline. Afterwards we would appreciate it if you take a few minutes of your time and answer our Closed Beta Survey, so we can get right to the gritty details of your feedback and you can make your voice heard. Starting NOW you can find the sign up button on the Surviving Deponia Storepage: HERE] Click the Button and follow the steps. If you are selected for the Closed Beta Playtest you will get informed via your (steam) email on playtest start. DISCLAIMER: Since we are working with an international team and the playtest shows an in-development progress that is in most cases not finalized, the playtest will be in english only - german and additional languages will follow for the final release. We would kindly ask you not to stream or share your experience online (Youtube/Twitch), as this can often lead to misunderstandings in the future about different (early) versions and states of the game. See you soon! Daedalic Entertainment & AtomicTorchRead full article on Community Announcements (Penta)
