  Thank You for Everything

  Thank you to everyone who plays, buys, and adds my games to their wishlists!I’ve reached the end of the road. I wasn’t able to turn this into my full-time job, and I’ve failed. I could have struck deals with publishers or found investors to succeed, but I chose not to. Because Mercimek Games shouldn’t be at the mercy of companies driven by financial concerns. That’s what true independence looks like. That’s why I’m incredibly proud to call myself an independent game developer and to have actually achieved it. Even though I’ve ended up as a failed independent game developer, I’ve realized the vision I wanted.It doesn’t matter whether I made good or bad games. I had a mission, and I carried it out. I didn’t greet you with games aimed at your wallets; I greeted you with games I wanted you to enjoy. That’s why I’m happy. I hope my games have brought you joy.I’ve started a full-time job in a completely different industry, and I no longer have the motivation or time to make games like I used to.   V1.5.2 "Russian" Update! 🇷🇺

  New Language Option: Russian!Since Mad Miner contains a lot of text, adding new languages is quite a challenge for me. Still, I want players interested in Mad Miner to be able to enjoy the game in their own native languages.Previously, I had included a Japanese translation in Mad Miner using artificial intelligence. That translation was quite problematic and didn’t yield a logical result. Thanks to a player who edited that translation and resubmitted it to me, we were able to achieve a very natural translation.The next country in the statistics for additions to Mad Miner’s wishlist is Russia. That’s why I now plan to go through this process for Russian as well.The Russian translation added to Mad Miner with the V1.5.2 update was entirely generated by AI. So, you can send me any incorrect or flawed translations—either by editing them piece by piece or by completely revising them!How Can I Edit The Russian Translation?Right-click on Mad Miner in Steam and select “Browse local files” to go to the directory where Mad Miner is installed.You can open and edit the “russian.language” file in the ‘Languages’ folder using your text editor. (If you can’t open it, rename the file to “russian.ini” and try opening it again.)How Do I Submit the Edited Translation?First, you can do this by creating a new thread on the Mad Miner forum via the Mercimek Games Discord. If that’s not possible for you, you can send an email to the address listed in the contact section.

  Although Mad Miner hasn’t reached many players since its release, I’ve continued to update it for the past three years because I consider my games to be my creative works. I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has purchased Mad Miner, added it to their wishlist, or played it during this time!Please write a review for Mad Miner to share your feedback with me and help boost the game’s Steam page. Thank you in advance to everyone who takes the time to do so!In addition to this discount, I am also releasing the v1.5.1 update.So what does this update include?The design of the starting shelter has been updated.An additional standard oven has been added to the starting shelter.An additional crop basket has been added to the starting shelter.The amount of food in the starter chest has been increased from 12 -> 16 for the Hard Shelter.The amount of water in the starter chest has been increased from 16 -> 24 for the Easy Shelter.The physics of the hook gun have been improved, making it more fun to use.The range limit for the hook gun has been removed.   V1.5 “Inventory” Update!

  Although Mad Miner's inventory system has undergone several revisions since its release, it still seemed confusing and intimidating to players. I'm now taking a big step to put an end to this!With the V1.5 “Inventory” update, you will no longer see items you don't own in your inventory; you will only see them when interacting with workbenches!Additionally, with this update:The amount of pickaxes obtained from pickaxe production was increased from 48 -> to 96.Arrow indicators have been added to highlight the indicators showing shortcuts.I think Mad Miner's inventory system is now so complicated that the number of sentences will seriously decrease :D.
