    Controller & Steamdeck Support

Good afternoon detectives, we're busy working on the next case The Hare and The Tortoise, but we've poked our heads out of our development burrows to bring you this exciting update. Here's the headline - Steam Deck and Controller support have struck the game like a plank being wielded by a redacted! We've done our best to test these new systems thoroughly, but it's still possible that some bugs might have slipped past us, so please do let us know if you run into any problems when playing either on Steam Deck or with a controller (or in general). See our full patch notes for details of what else is new this update: v0.2.5.3 patch notesNow we're going to retreat back into our shells where we're developing the next case... this metaphor has slightly gotten away from me (just like the killer won't!)Until next time all the best from the Wise Monkey Dev Team

NEW FEATURES: * Added Controller Support for the entire game (All minigames, general gameplay, menus etc) * We've added Steam Deck support, though we're still waiting for Valve to tell us if we get a nice shiny badge or not. * Support for switching between Controller and Keyboard in real-time. * Expanded Control Prompt system to show controller glyphs when using controller. * Some new control prompts in Minigames that didn't previously have them. * Added new UI sprint prompt that appears when alerting Big Red in the Escape sequences. * Tiny in-world B.I.G.R.E.D computer screen, and Detective Cox reflection during the minigame. * NEW quest relevant dialogue indicator. Highlights in yellow for dialogue that's relevant to your current quest. * Cutscenes now have subtitles! Be sure to switch them on in the Settings Menu :wrench: BUG FIXES / IMPROVEMENTS: * Added some extra guidance to the first Drawing Deduction to help players know what to do (and also made some of the margins more forgiving) * Delicious Mansion spacialised audio-source teleportation. * Fixed some codec issues that could cause cutscenes not to play correctly on Steam Deck for some users. * Fixed a niche but quite serious issue with save games that could occur on starting fresh after watching the teaser for the next case. * More balancing improvements to Underdog, and improved visual indicators of when the Overdog can be hit. * Added Quest HUD transparency system that hides the Quest HUD UI when Detective Cox walks behind it. * Fixed an issue where sprint prompts weren't hiding consistently. * Fixed an issue where you could run through the road...
