Clonizer 1.1.0 Update – New Mission, Planet & More!
CLONPO returns with the deployment of Patch v1.1.0! Greetings, Clonees! We’ve been listening to your feedback from the far reaches of the galaxy, and it's time to deploy a fresh wave of content and improvements! Our first big update, 1.1.0 brings a new mission, a brand new planet, deeper challenge scaling, quality-of-life settings, and a whole bunch of bug fixes. Whether you're commanding Clonees on a tiny screen or strategizing in full zoom-out glory, there's something in here for you. Patch Notes Mechanics & Balance New mission: Diplomacy! – Unlocks after completing 24 missions. New planet: Rumbelia! – Unlocks after completing 24 missions. C.E.P. levels are now more challenging! FFO damage & enemy spawn rates now scale up to 30% (was 20%) across 20 levels. Galaxius Strictus (middle galaxy choice) now also reaches 30% FFO damage and enemy spawn rate scaling across 20 levels. Special aliens from C.E.P. level 4 have been temporarily disabled. They’ll return in future updates with stronger and more unique designs! For now, expect slightly tougher versions of regular aliens in their place. Player Experience New options under Gameplay Settings: Fast mode! Disable edge-scrolling (camera movement when the mouse reaches screen edges). Increased maximum zoom-out. Small tutorial adjustments for Steam Deck. Several tooltip enhancements for improved clarity.Bugfixes Fixed an issue where playing multiple DUPE-Bursts on a Dupee in quick succession could freeze the game. You can now specialize your Clonees even when playing on a 20-deck limited galaxy with 20 cards. Picking up Lonlee’s “Fire Cannons!” card with a full hand (10 cards) no longer crashes the game. Going back on certain event options no longer renders buttons unclickable or causes the loading screen to get stuck. The Alien Genes goody now works correctly on non-alien enemies (including Faultees and Cosmocows). Thanks for playing Clonizer and for being part of this weird galaxy we’re building together. Upcoming Update Preview: Diplomacy, Dance, and Difficulty
Hello fellow Clonees! We want to give you a sneak peek at what we’ve been working on, and hear your thoughts! Most of these updates are planned for release during the first week of June, but adventurous players can expect to see them early on the public beta branch (bugginess included, free of charge!). New Planet: Rumbelia {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44268682/fd95e63c29711e850f5035320e22d6fbe3469bd7.jpg Rumbelia is home to the chunky and charming Tumblegrubs—beefy creatures who burrow through stone, leaving behind holes that whistle tunes when the wind blows through. These tunes drive Tumblegrubs into a dance frenzy. Tumblegrubs take double damage while dancing. Floating Plate tiles cause nearby Tumblegrubs to dance when pressed on. We loved how interactive planetary tiles could be, and with Rumbelia, we really leaned into that idea. The coordination between tile interaction and combat adds a fun layer of strategy we’re excited for you to try. New Mission: Diplomacy! CLONPO, in its infinite PR wisdom, has launched it's next peacekeeping campaign to take over the universe. Leading the charge? Our very literal diplomatic shuttle, PeacekeePR. The mission goal: Play the PeacekeePR card a set number of times. A new PeacekeePR card is generated every turn, but can only be played when it’s exactly in the center of your hand. Got to aim that capsule just right. DiploBots on the planet can generate new PeacekeePR cards or push cards in your hand left or right. This mission focuses on card manipulation as a core mechanic. Clonees still contribute by activating bots (because no mission is complete without some exploration), but success will depend on smart card sequencing and planning. It’s meant to feel like a completely different gameplay experience. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44268682/beef742c564015cc4c92c65b8516c35243cba827.png Do we end up building diplomatic bridges with the aliens? We’ve got no shortage of Clonees lining up to pilot the PeacekeePR, that's for sure. Player Experience Im...Read full article on Community Announcements (Sybnes)Patch NotesOfficial
Clonizer 1.0.4 Update
CLONPO returns with the deployment of Patch v1.0.4! Hello, fellow Clonees! This update brings a healthy batch of balance adjustments, bug fixes, new bug introducements, and player experience improvements, all guided by your feedback and the anonymous gameplay data we've received. Here are some of the key insights that shaped this patch: First-run win rate is 10%. Ideally, we’d want this to be 0% (failure builds character!), but we know this is a turn-based game, and some players are going to be just very skilled. Overall, we’re satisfied with this number. Win rate on the old “Normal” difficulty is 23%. Not bad! But some players, especially those newer to roguelikes, expected a smoother ride. After all, it did say "Normal." We believe that the problem wasn’t the difficulty itself, but how it was presented. So we moved the old normal to be the new hard, and added a new normal difficulty in-between. C.E.P. level 1+ win rates were over 50%. Very surprising! Once players got the hang of things, they seem to be beating it with ease. We’ll be tightening this up in future updates. Meanwhile, shoutout to the first player to conquer C.E.P. level 20 with R&D, after just 28 runs! But Logistics Level 20? Still untouched… Most losses happened on the final boss mission. This is expected to an extent, but we wanted the earlier planets to add more pressure—and also offer meaningful repair opportunities—to make that final showdown feel earned. Patch Notes v1.0.4 Mechanics & Balance New Difficulty Level: We’ve added a third difficulty setting! (for C.E.P. 0) The old "Normal" becomes Hard. A new Normal has been added between Easy and Hard. Increased Early Pressure and Repair Opportunities: Increased alien spawn rate on levels 1–4. The Hull node is now called the Repair Station, and is operated by our enthusiastic mechanic Craftee. It still grants +5 max hull, but now also offers 25% hull repair in exchange for -10 max hull. This node now appears slightly more frequently. Repair bonus a...Read full article on Community Announcements (Sybnes)
