In StarShip-DF, you'll craft your own 3D starship and manage a colony. Explore space to mine resources, land on planets for supplies, and defend against enemies as you expand your mobile base.

About this game

After starting the game, players will see a small spaceship landing on the apron inside the starship. After that, 4 minions will disembark from the small spaceship. The minions have AI for construction, production, life, and combat, and do not require players to manually operate the minions. Players only need to specify which planets can collect resources, and the villain will drive a small spaceship to collect resources, and then bring them back to produce building materials. Players can use these resources to expand their spaceships, build more equipment, fighter jets, artillery, and more. At regular intervals in the game, enemies will come and attack our starship. If our starship is defeated, the game ends. Of course, players can also use fighter jets and artillery to defeat enemies. Enemies who are defeated will lose resources and research items. Players can conduct scientific research through research items to unlock more advanced buildings, equipment, fighter jets, and more.

    Starship Cargo Containers

Option A: Hull wall mountingContainers attach to external hardpoints around the starship's hull.Pros:Containers are independent of one another. There is no vertical stacking or occlusion. When loading for multi-destination runs, you have full flexibility without planning unloading order. No need to build large deck platforms.Cons:The total number of hardpoints is limited, so maximum cargo capacity is relatively low.Large amounts of external containers alter the starship's appearance. Curved hull surfaces make neat arrangement of many boxes difficult.Option B: Deck rackingPlayers build rack modules on the starship deck, then place containers onto those racks.Pros:Large rack structures can be constructed to support multi-layer stacking for much higher total cargo capacity. It integrates deeply with starship construction gameplay. Players can lay out their own deck cargo zones. It resembles traditional cargo ships, bringing stronger immersion when loading and unloading containers at large space stations.Cons:Vertically stacked containers create unloading order restrictions. Example: The bottom container needs delivery to Galaxy A, while two stacked above are bound for Galaxy B and C. When arriving at the large space station in Galaxy A, you must unload the two upper containers first before you can access the bottom one.Poor loading planning creates headaches later. Adding new containers to the top of a stack locks all containers underneath.Questions for youDo you prefer wall-mounted containers or deck racking? If deck racking is chosen, what do you think of this "unload from top down" stacking rule? Is it interesting strategic planning, or unnecessary hassle? For multi-destination freight runs, would you prefer unrestricted unloading, or advance route and loading planning?Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I will read and consider all feedback.

    Surface environment upgrade is complete

Surface environment upgrade is complete. In addition, issues with terrain grid processing previously caused some data corruption, which has now been fixed. However, this change may result in certain buildings going missing. If you encounter errors when loading a save file, starting a new playthrough is recommended. This is due to extensive under‑the‑hood modifications in this update.
