About this game

- Unique Heroes - Play different heroes, each with their own spells, builds, upgrade paths, strengths and weaknesses. You are rewarded for playing all of them individually and no hero plays like the other!
- Three different meta progression systems - After each run, become stronger permanently in three different ways. Get powerful rewards by unlocking achievements, spend character xp on character specific progression paths and use gold to buy general upgrades in the shop.
- Casual Playtime - Runs take usually only between 10 - 25 min, during which your heroes get from weak to godlike in no time!
- Different Stages - Each Stage has their own Monsters and Bosses with their own behaviour.
- Difficulty Settings - Adjust the difficulty to make each stage easier or harder. The harder the difficulty, the greater the rewards!
- Different Game Modes - You can play different Modes in each Stage, resulting in a different playstyle.
- Endless Onslaught - The Desert Stage never ends, how long can you survive with ever stronger waves of enemies?
- Endless Progression - Upgrade your characters without limit.
- And More - Hunt treasure rats for their loot, get cursed relics at the blood altar and buy up to 6 different cats!

v1.0.0 Release: New Map!
New Map "Void" The 8th and final map is out! The new map is hidden in the beginning and unlocks when you beat the Forest. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44158864/7a092742702d1d16177fe1020a66d844491228de.jpg Post Release Plans First i'd like to thank everyone who played the game or demo, left a review or posted feedback, i really appreciate it! I read everything that is getting posted and will continue to do so! (regardless whether i respond or not) I personally like what the game has become (with your great feedback), and i think it has enough content and fun gameplay for the price tag, but of course there is always room for improvement. The game is currently "profile features limited" as it hasn't reached enough reviews/sales etc. yet for that to be lifted. That means for example that i am limited to 100 steam achievements in total and i am not able to add steam trading cards etc. to the game. I intend to take a break from game development for some time, but if the game manages to hit the threshold for profile features i plan to add more achievements, maybe design some more content around them and look into implementing steam trading cards if possible. In case i decide to polish some parts of the game i also have lots of great feedback to draw from the forums/discord! Also, the game is relatively bug free as far as i know, but if i become aware of any game breaking bugs i will of course try to fix them! Thanks for your support! Update v1.3.0-beta: Balancing, new music and more!
Balancing - Reduced all shop prices on page 1 by a small amount as well as endless progression prices by a high amount. You can refund your gold to profit on those smaller prices if you bought them already (you get all your gold that you invested back regardless of current prices, and you can reinvest with lower prices afterwards). - Decreased Cooldown of Fire Drop + Fire Meteors (two spells that felt underwhelming) - Made some crow swarms more manageable that felt unfair before (less hp and larger gaps between swarms). - Reduced hp of enemies slightly that spawn in a ring around the player ("trap"): I originally didn't intend to people to try to actually break through the ring (at least without having enough meta upgrades), but after seeing that many try to break through anyways, fail and get frustrated, i try to make that an option too (although not an easy option). - Circle in the "Stay in the Circle" Mode now expands over time (and shrinks back over time) before/after bosses (instead of adjusting instantly). - Stepping outside the circle now does more damage to the player and scales with the player's max hp. - Reduced overall difficulty of caverns: Enemies have less hp. Buffed amount of xp crystal drops from rats and slimes slightly. Rats drop more food. - Decreased enemy strength in Speed Up Mode from +200% to +150% - Enabling modes might make the game significantly harder, especially at the beginning. That might not be obvious for new players, that's why i made them unlock only after finishing the first map now. Music - Added a new title song for the main menu. - Forest now has a new song. Bugfixes - Fixed a missing word in an achievement description. - Rounded gold in death screen. Other - The game became now officially "playable" (instead of "unsupported") on steam deck since the last update. - Updated the demo to the latest version.Read full article on Community Announcements (Catpix)Patch NotesOfficial

Update v1.2.1-beta: Balancing, Quality of Life and more!
Balancing - Slightly raised speed and damage of some necromancer minions - Reduced difficulty of Caverns Quality of Life - Arrow to events are further away from the screen edge now so they don't overlap with the ui - Included option to hide cats - Cats now teleport to the player if they are too far away Other - Updated demo to latest versionRead full article on Community Announcements (Catpix)Patch NotesOfficial
Update v1.2.0-beta: New Map, Performance optimizations and more!
Happy new year, everyone! New Map The 7th map is out! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44158864/7cee17eb8dfadc55a3fb44da84342fe7ac1bb409.jpg Performance After analyzing the performance metrics of the game i noticed that up to 60% of the game's performance is used for drawing damage numbers. I optimized the code that goes into drawing those, resulting in a significant fps increase. Even after this it's still the most performance hungry thing in this game, so if you still experience performance issues you can disable those numbers in the options. Further performance optimizations: - Reduced pixel size of images that were too unnecessarily detailed compared to others. Got rid of mini lag spikes that happened when images were loaded in with this change. - Reworked code for shadows (slightly more fps) - Reworked code for collecting crystals and gold (slightly more fps) Balancing Summoned minions felt too weak and slow compared to regular spells, especially at later levels => Made most minions faster. Every mage that summons them got buffed that way, especially the necro mage. Two new steam achievements One for completing the map Trapped, another one for the new map Forest. The game is capped by steam to a maximum of 100 steam achievements at the moment ("profile features limited/steam is learning about this game"), so i can't implement more for new maps. If the game manages to unlock the full profile features some day i plan to implement many more (and more content around those). The cap is lifted once the game gets high enough sales numbers and "player engagement" (not specified what that entails, probably reviews and such). Bugfix - Fixed issues for displays that have an aspect ratio of 16:10Read full article on Community Announcements (Catpix)
