About this game

The girl opens her eyes in a desolate world, and hears "your" voice from in front of the screen.

You can direct her actions, help her solve mysteries, evade dangers, and find a way to leave this place. Of course, you could also choose not to do so, or even worse, deliberately guide her to death... Just kidding, you surely wouldn't do that, right?

All characters are voiced.

The voice of the main character, Alice, is provided by Yoshino Aoyama, who also played the main character, Goto Hitori, in the popular anime "Bocchi the Rock!"

Her passionate performance breathes a unique life into the character of Alice.

Join Alice as she uncovers the true secrets of this world.

There is no role-playing

You are who you are, the one who guides Alice in front of the screen.
You can be honest, you can be deceitful, you can help, you can destroy.
But don't forget, you can't hide behind another identity.
She'll remember - remember everything you've done.

Explore the barren world of

Faraway towers, uninhabited ruins, and unknown monsters.

Lead her onward to witness the wreckage left behind and their stories.

[Next Fest] Demo Update: Major Expansion to The Last Leaf

https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33017256/9a45984974672546a0f8098fa2b515ba59806950.png Good afternoon, everyone… or good midnight, rather. Beyond the Curtains, a cozy idle game about watching the world through a window, is officially participating in the Steam Next Fest! Thank you so much for following our progress — we've been working hard, and we're excited to share what's new. Demo Update We've pushed a major update to the demo just in time for Next Fest: ・Theme 1 — The Last Leaf: Most of the main content is now available, including several story phases and an ending. ※ Some events and sound effects are still works in progress. ・Theme 2 — Scenic Tour: The opening section is now playable, along with an original track composed by artist Oli Jan specifically for this theme. If you've played a previous version of the demo, there's a lot of new content waiting for you. ─────────────────────── We'd Love Your Feedback Beyond the Curtains moves at a very different pace from most games. There are no tutorials, no objectives, just a window, some time, and whatever you make of it. That's exactly why your reactions matter so much to us. We'll be updating the demo throughout Next Fest and using your feedback to fine-tune the final release. Did you accidentally discover something was clickable? Did the waiting feel a little too long? Whatever you felt, please let us know in the comments — we're reading everything. ─────────────────────── After Next Fest Playing and leaving a review during Next Fest would be a huge help to us — but no pressure if you're busy. The demo will remain available after the event, so feel free to come back whenever you're ready. ːkoimusu4ː See you in the next update. https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33017256/04c81e510aae8a0e3cdf77dfaa950ffdbe94c1b9.gif
