GTTZ V 1.1.0.5 BETA - a patch for saves
Hey everyone, this update should fix the save-issue introduced in the last beta-update. To reiterate, I've ported the game to a new version of GMS2, so performance should be better. I've tested it, so most crashes should be fixed? The engine handles particles in a different way, so I'm not a 100 percent sure. But there are some actual fixes in here, too. Like (as previously mentioned): ːsteamthumbsupː Guns will now reload on their own if you keep jamming the fire button! ːsteamthumbsupː How soon this delayed reload will occur depends on the chosen difficulty. Also, a few bug fixes regarding reloading and player-select. A few really small changes to balancing.. AND the first heart-container in the campaign (level 2) will now always show up, loot-luck be damned. It is tucked away in a cornfield, just after crossing the bridge, right before the entrance to the forest. Thanks, that's it for this update ːsummersunːRead full article on Community Announcements (Endut Games)Patch NotesOfficial
GTTZ V 1.1.0.5 in BETA
Hello, just a small update for the game. If you want it, set your game to receive beta-updates! But beware: progression will start from scratch. I've ported the game to a new version of the engine and I'm currently investigating if previous saves are not compatible. Good news is that your old save will not get overwritten, so you can go back to the previous (non-beta) build. What does this actually do? Well, it's a new version of the engine, so it should run better. There are a few smaller tweaks and bugfixes One commonly requested features is added: Guns will now reload on their own if you keep jamming the fire button! Yay! How soon this delayed reload will occur depends on the chosen difficulty. See you next update! ːTheRoosterːRead full article on Community Announcements (Endut Games)AnnouncementsOfficial
The future of Gun to the Zone
Hey there! A new update has just released after being in beta for a while. I'll also talk about the future of this game a little bit. Here's the deal: Patchnotes for V 1.1.0.4 - Fixed a possible crash on startup on Steam Deck. - Yes, this game runs on Steam Deck. It is using Proton. The game looks pretty good on an OLED ;) - Made some of the maps a little easier - It should be more feasible now to play Arenas 1 and 2 up to difficulty 15-20 - Renamed some of the entries in the main menu to more accurately reflect the map and mode - Don't like the look of a hat? Toggle hats by pressing H on the keyboard, or Back/Select on a controller - The impact effects (particles) should be a little better now - Changed some of the firing-mechanics a little bit, regarding ejecting spent bullets/shells - You can no longer single-reload SMGs, as that was a little weird and unfun - Added a "gun ready" sound for certain guns, like slow-firing shotguns - Added a "gun almost empty" sound - Lowered the volume of certain sounds - Made the default "flashlight" less visible in well lit environments - Changed the way certain hats work - The -fake- loading screens can now be skipped with any keyboard input, or start on a controller - You were already able to skip this screen before, using "A" on a controller, or a click - You can also skip the intro screens by pressing a button on the controller or clicking - Added an additional (spread-) shot type to certain guns. - Very minor tweaks to some maps and graphics - Some additional bugfixes - Some additional changes to balancing {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44228808/eae5b39be38382b4c919bf8a6d5c84a2b1e8a8e9.png In addition, I want to make another, bigger update. But these things take time. And I also want to maybe make another game soon! Anyway, here are my thoughts on that, in roadmap-form?! -> Still to come (timing tbd): - A different song / atmosphere for the main menu will be tested - I want to add a friendly fire-option (2 additional hats) to the game -...Read full article on Community Announcements (Endut Games)Patch NotesOfficial
This has a demo now - and another patch!
Hey there, just a small little update. Fixed some smaller issues, but also some stuff regarding the fonts in the game. All text should be more legible now. Also, this game now has a DEMO! Now you can check out a portion of the game before buying. It's also on sale for a week :) Changelog V 1.1.0.2 & V 1.1.0.3 - Changed some font-elements for dialogue boxes and general UI - Changed some of the flashlight-behavior and look - A small warning sign will now notify you of enemies spawning, barrels and cars about to explode and certain fast projectiles - Added & changed some sounds, e.g. for the drone firing a bullet or rocket - Your character will now lift certain guns UP as they reload (I think this rules, I hope you agree) - Other guns, especially the ones with single-reload will be held downward during reload - Also, the window for a perfect reload was tweaked slightly - A certain campaign level will now only show up at harder difficulty levels - Smaller tweaks to how things look, e.g. the damage-numbers - Tweaks regarding the demo and multiplayer - Additional smaller gameplay fixes and tweaks - Added a DEMO, features should be on par with V 1.1.0.3, although this demo will probably not be updated as frequently. So, don't sleep on this update - they might creep up right behind you as we speak ːcozycastondeathː {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44228808/d4c5d0a0f073fce5e2ff028785913f55459070a5.jpgRead full article on Community Announcements (Endut Games)AnnouncementsOfficial
Gun to the Zone Version 1.1
Welcome back! After a lot of work, the latest update is finally released. What's in it? Quite a bit of stuff: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44228808/be5c2c08ed16ad2dabe761d98469be4ee5f284ce.png With a Little Help From My (Drone-) Friends You have a little floating friend around, who will automatically fire at enemies. However, you will not be able to rely on this little friend 100% of the time. It can use all the weapons that are in your inventory. Some weapons are more accurate than others, of course. Every buff you collect will also buff your little drone-friend. If you focus on fewer weapons, the drone will be more effective, but won't fire as often. You can turn the drone off, but accessing the settings for the individual arenas in the main menu (right click or Y on the controller). In certain bonus rooms, the drone is deactivated by default. A Forest Some of the trees in the game have changed. They appeared pixelated before, now they're a lot more cohesive and fit in with the rest of the graphics. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44228808/e1e231b277dd14d8781a0cc4e5a83214725065ce.png Easy Now The game will be easier and more accessible, especially as you first start it. For example, your guns will be a little easier to aim, your special attack will charge faster and you have an additional heart from the start. You are also able to collect more hearts right from the start. The campaign will also be shorter on lower difficulties. However, if you want to beat the final boss, you might have to replay levels at higher difficulties. As soon as you've completed one of the levels in the main menu, its default difficulty will automatically go up. Intergalactic There is a new gametype in the main menu: In this one, you will be constantly attacked by zombies. There will be no time to relax in this mode. It is pretty fun, especially with a helper drone! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44228808/127e48930499bb24f6551b1a61bbe8c1c694c9c8.jpg Somewhere Only We Know There are some new places to explore!
