About this game
In Blue Ridge Hunting, team up with friends to investigate, document, and take down these terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows. Explore expansive, open-world maps inspired by real locations across the Appalachian region, and come face-to-face with some of its most feared and mysterious beasts.
The Appalachian Mountains are steeped in some of America's most chilling folklore, home to legendary cryptids and unexplained phenomena. Step into the boots of the Appalachian Investigation Group, a team dedicated to tracking these elusive creatures. Using a range of tools and equipment, gather evidence, follow the clues, and embark on high-stakes hunts based on real sightings and local legends.
Earn money from successful investigations and upgrade your gear at Levi’s cabin to take on even greater threats. But beware: you're not alone out there. These creatures are always watching... and listening.
Found Footage: A gritty retro/PSX art style inspired by early 3D horror and analog media.
Always Listening: Creatures react to proximity voice chat and radio chatter. Communication is crucial, but dangerous.

Hey there, fellow Appalachian Investigation Group members!I just wanted to first and foremost thank you all so much for the support that you’ve shown me since the launch of the Kickstarter on Halloween! Blue Ridge Hunting is something that I have wanted to make for a while now, as someone who grew up in the area and has heard the legendary cryptid tales firsthand. Speaking of these legendary tales, in the demo, you will be introduced to the Dewayo, a 6-foot-tall bipedal wolf-like creature. The Dewayo has been sighted primarily in the state of Maryland and is known to let out bloodcurdling screams in the dead of night. Below is some concept art of the Dewayo during the early planning stages to give some insight into the creative process. If you are up to the task, check out the demo with your friends and hunt that sucker down!
