About the Game
Gennady — dynamic roguelike platformer
Remember that dream where you find yourself on a crowded bus wearing nothing but your underwear?
Well, this isn’t a bus — and it’s not a dream either!
The blinding light fades, revealing a grim alien meat factory where you must break through compressed biomass with your own body — not to pay the fare, but to survive!
It’s time to hang the twitching remains of vile creatures on the ropes — those that crawled straight out of the moldy, green-stained pages of this grim comic book.
Better finish this quickly… though sometimes it’s tempting to stay here forever — or at least for the weekend.
Unique Visual Style
Hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation and a high-contrast black-and-white palette tremble under the pressure of pulsating splashes of color that frame this dark pseudo-noir world.
Fast-Paced Action
In addition to classic brawling, use furious dashes to not only overcome obstacles but also rip local inhabitants to pieces — turning your body into a living projectile.
Rage Mode
Enter a special state of insane speed and deadly attacks, fueled by absolute invulnerability. The better you do at exterminating the local fauna, the longer your rage lasts.
Tons of Artifacts and Upgrades
Trade your living currency for artifacts of varying usefulness. Upgrade your character and weapons to create unique builds for more efficient and spectacular gameplay.
Epic Boss Fights
Colossal beasts await you at the end of each biome — ready to test what you’re truly made of. Literally.
Alley of the Dead
Break the rule of permanent death: shoot off your collected artifacts and carry them into your next run — starting stronger and fully charged.

The Final Final Demo Update
Alright, guys, let’s do this one last time. The game’s release is just around the corner, so we’re updating the demo once again.Global Balance AdjustmentsWe’ve made the first biome more beginner-friendly, adjusted trap damage and enemy counts, and slightly lowered the barrier to entry. That doesn’t mean the Meat Factory has turned into a walk in the park — there are still plenty of challenging sections, they just appear much later now. Ah... If only you had seen the early versions of the game, where the green goo, presses, and lasers killed the player instantly. Those were the days.Updated Alley of the Dead SystemOut with the ammo, in with the container!Ammo has been completely removed from the game. It has been replaced by a container that the player always starts with by default. It can store a certain number of artifacts and larvae and carry them over into the next run.You can also buy a larger container in Sho’s shop. However, this container has its own durability, which decreases every time you visit the Alley of the Dead. New LocalizationWe’ve added full Chinese localization thanks to our partner, Vsoo Games. We’ve also added Japanese. Before release, we plan to add all of the remaining languages.Bug FixesFixed a bug where the loading screen would disappear if you died during the tutorial. You seriously died in the tutorial?Fixed a bug where the Worker could deal instant damage without playing an animation after recovering from a stun.Fixed a bug where the Inspector could deal contact damage while attacking.Fixed several localization issues.Fixed issues with some artifacts. We plan to officially announce the release date soon, so don’t miss the announcement!Read full article on Community Announcements (Escanor Sama)AnnouncementsOfficial

As far as major updates go, this will be the last one. So let’s go through what exactly we’ve added: — Artifacts & UpgradesA lot of new artifacts of varying usefulness — but all of them are cool. Some are tied to new systems like luck and companions. Some are available right away, others must be found in chests. Building a specific setup is now much more straightforward… and breaking the game is far more likely. — StoryPages scattered across the alien factory are waiting to be found. Let’s be honest: reading the first four parts will probably not answer your questions — if anything, you’ll have even more. But, to be fair, you might start to get a sense of what’s going on. Maybe. — Challenge RoomsFor those seeking a true challenge and a worthy reward, the challenge room opens its doors. There’s only one rule — survive. — CollectionsA new tab in the game menu where you can find almost all the useful information: you can view artifacts (which ones you’ve unlocked and which are yet to be found), read discovered story entries — for those who like to dig deep into the lore, and learn more about enemies. Can such a rich fauna really be ignored? — Tutorial UpdateTweaked a bit here, adjusted a bit there. Now don’t say we never told you anything! Though honestly, if your kind paid more attention to text, the learning process would go much faster. — New Voice-overWe’ve completely reworked the English voice-over. Now it’s easier to understand what that guy in his underwear is mumbling about. There’s also now a separate volume setting for voice. These are all the major additions in this version. On top of that, we’ve made plenty of smaller tweaks — though o...Read full article on Community Announcements (Escanor Sama)Patch NotesOfficial
Final Demo Update Coming Soon
Greetings, vertebrate inhabitants of three-dimensional space (I can’t even imagine what that feels like). Today I’ll walk you through the changes we’re planning for the demo version. The update should arrive soon and, as we expect, will be the last major one — the full release is just around the corner. 1. StoryMany of you have been asking: does the game have a story, what’s actually going on here, why Gennady, and how did an ordinary middle-aged worker end up fused to a pair of underwear. Alright, jokes aside — the game does have a story. It will be delivered through comic book pages — fragments of memory, wrapped and scattered throughout the world. You’ll be able to find these pages while exploring biomes. Each one reveals a small piece of the narrative, closely tied to this world. And trust me — it’s not what you expect. We’re looking forward to your wildest theories after you collect all the pages in the updated demo. The ones we like most will receive… uh… a larva! 2. New Artifacts and Balance ChangesWith each iteration, we’ve been making the game more… approachable. As a result, the average player can now progress further during a run — and sometimes even defeat the boss. New artifacts will give you even more ways to survive and smash alien faces more efficiently (and stylishly). Some existing artifacts have also been reworked — and yes, slightly nerfed. But it’s all fair: combined with the new additions, builds have become more meaningful and synergistic. 3. Challenge RoomsIf the cold corridors of the alien meat factory feel like a casual stroll to you, be sure to visit the challenge room. It’s located right after the first shop. The rules are simple: stay alive for a set amount of time. Each room is different and pushes your limits (and your luck). Succeed, and you’ll earn a truly valuable reward. Fail… well, maybe it’s time for a few more laps around the factory. 4. Updated MusicWe’ve remastered the soundtrack — for those who appreciate high-quality audio. ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Escanor Sama)
