About this game

Ready to squawk and roll? In Flock Party, you take control of a bird by using the movement of your arms and head to flap, turn, glide, and dive. The intuitive flight mechanics are easy to learn, but challenging to master. You’ll need to keep flapping your arms to maintain altitude, while tilting and turning to avoid obstacles.

Whether you’re a seasoned VR gamer or a first-time flier, Flock Party is designed to be comfortable and fun for anyone to pick up and enjoy.

Features:

  • Unique flying mechanic controlled by your hands and head
  • Comfortable and exciting immersive flying experience
  • Single-player adventure mode featuring cutscenes and a storyline
  • Multiplayer mode with customizable match options and multiple different gameplay modes
  • 18 different colorful courses across six different biomes (with more to come!)
  • An infinite “Fly Forever” mode that procedurally generates a course to test your skills and endurance
  • Customize the visual look of your bird

Help guide your bird back to its wayward flock in Flock Party’s single-player campaign. The campaign features 18 courses that weave through grassy meadows, steep canyons, menacing castles, towering mountains, dense jungles, and more. The environments become increasingly challenging to navigate as you progress through the courses, requiring you to use all your skills to make it to the finish line.

Why fly alone when you can fly with friends? Host private games or join a public match to compete against other birds to see who’s the best flier in races of up to eight players. Matches can be customized to create the racing experience you want. In addition to traditional racing, you can face off against other players in a variety of different multiplayer modes, including “Egg Hunt” and “Last Bird Flying,” for endless bird-filled fun.

Make your bird stand out with a range of customization options. You can change the shape of its body, eyes, wings, beak, and feet, choose different feather patterns and color options, and add accessories like hats and glasses – the sky’s the limit!

    Patch Notes 1.05

Hello! Today we've released a new update which adds two new options to the settings menu: First, players now have the option to enable a "First Person Mode." When toggled on, instead of the camera following behind the bird in a third person view, the camera will take on a first person perspective. A number of players have requested this feature, so I wanted to make sure everyone could fly how they want! While the experience is still fairly comfortable, some players may find first person flight a little disorienting. If that's the case for you, just stick to the default third person view. Second, I've added the option to toggle haptic feedback on and off. By default, haptics are on, so you'll feel your controllers buzz when you fly close to obstacles. Happy flying!

    Flock Party Release!

I'm very excited to announce that Flock Party is now available to play on Steam! It brings me so much joy to finally share this game with you all. I've been developing it for the past two years, and it has been such a fun journey. I hope you find it as silly, exhilarating, and entertaining to play as it has been for me to make. I want to thank everyone who has supported the game throughout its development. To the dedicated team that has contributed ideas, art, and music to make the game vibrant and joyful, thank you. And to all the play testers that have given their time to stretch their wings and take flight, from the roughest alpha versions to the game it is now, thank you. Your feedback has been invaluable in making Flock Party a game that I hope everyone can enjoy. As you join this new community of feathered flyers, please don't hesitate to share your feedback. There is still more I'd like to add to the game, and I'm always looking for new ways to improve the experience. You can expect multiple updates in the coming months with new maps, features, and of course, silly hats for your bird to show off. In a few weeks, I'll also be hosting the first of many Flock Party tournaments that I hope you will take part in. I very much look forward to watching more players flail their arms as they weave around obstacles and dive to pick up a golden egg. Happy flying, Adam DeSantes Lead Developer
