Play Kingdom Flipper's updated Demo in the Steam June Next Fest!
It’s time to renovate! Steam Next Fest has begun, and Kingdom Flipper’s Demo just got a huge update! Become an architect today during the Next Fest and renovate your first castle before the full release this summer. I’ve updated the demo with new content, bug fixes, and quality of life changes. There’s never been a better time to become a royal architect. Please enjoy Next Fest and Wallpaper update! I’ve been wanting to add new wallpapers for a while now, and what better time than during Next Fest! There were challenges that have held me up since trying to find a non-AI-generated image is really difficult right now, plus Kingdom Flipper is not always historically accurate. I wanted to change that and add more appropriate historical designs. So I started going through museum collections online and trawling for wallpaper. After finding designs I visually liked (hours of sorting through some of the ugliest designs), I fixed up about ten designs. A staggering amount of work for a visual update, but it really was worth it to me to have more designs for the walls while having them aesthetically, moderately historically accurate, non-ai, and in good colors.Happy renovating! Demo Update: 🖌️New contentTen new Wallpapers to celebrate Next Fest! Find them under “Tile”.📜ChangesNew UI button for easily repeating your wallpaper or tiling choice instead of having to scroll through looking for the last one used. This makes painting, tiling, and papering a lot easier! Did the same thing for painting - no more having to remember which butter yellow or cabbage green you were using!Changed building text for the demo and full game to reflect current architecture.Changed Wallpaper and Tile UI to have much larger icons so you can see the pattern better.Changed how the paint and wallpaper menus work, making them easier to use. For instance, the scroll bar on the wallpaper menu is larger, and the close side panel is smaller. This will help with mis-clicks. Kingdom Flipper Devlog #7!
Hello Architects! It’s been a second since we posted a proper devlog. I’ve had my head low working on the release of my first demo and more! Of course, I’m proud to say the demo has been out for a few weeks now. Since launch, I’ve pushed out several small patches fixing reported bugs to improve the experience. If you’ve checked it out and run into anything please hop into our Discord and let me know! Demo Fixes Fixed first info popup reposting Fixed floor textures not saving correctly Fixed paint samples not showing up in the menu Demo Changes Changed all the intro quests Re-did the entire tutorial level Re-did it again The final popups texts have been re-written Also rewrote them again…. The intro menu now includes updated banners for Steam and Discord On top of working on the demo, I’ve also continued to focus on the main build. Inching closer to launch this year. One of the big highlights is a brand-new tutorial that is much more clear and quicker. All the levels have also received a lighting overhaul for better performance. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45206127/31de6c8841ddbacad29eaae70f76b658b97c0ca8.png Including one of my favorite new editions, I’m excited for you to see in the full release a new cabbage-filled loading screen. Plus so many bug fixes and tweaks. The cleaning system has yet to defeat me. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45206127/25ed3a9bd88776dc8d9ad14f1a9b98b4123d17b9.gif In other news, I’ve also been working on a never before seen trailer that will be shown in the Dames4Games March showcase! Tune in March 5th 12pm PDT to see Kingdom Flipper and other awesome games! A lot is happening and a lot changing in the full build and I cannot wait to share more.
