With intuitive turn-based combat, this game is easy to pick up but hard to master. Quickly form defensive lines and rapidly attack to claim victory!

Campaign

Start as a small kingdom and work to build a successful empire. Expand your borders while keeping a close eye on your enemies, who are always looking for an opportunity to strike. But war is not your only challenge; managing your economy and people is key to your success.

Multiplayer

Go head-to-head with your friends in custom battles and surprise them with your cunning Celtic archers, strong Roman swordsmen, or Hunnic cavalry maneuvers.

Custom Battles

Not in the mood for a full campaign? Start a custom battle, set your army and enemies, and deploy your strategy for a quick, intense battle.

    Roadmap & Release Plans

Hi everyone! With the excitement of the upcoming release I think it is an appropriate time to discuss the Release plan and road map for Vae Victis. Also if anyone is interested I made an official guide that outlines Unit statistics, factions, battle calculations and more: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3012033422 Release Plan Release is slated for this week on August 4th! Although I don't expect many I'm sure someone will find at least one bug so the plan is to work on hot fixes around the clock for the first few days. They will be prioritized as such: -Game breaking bugs -Multiplayer Exploits -Highly prevalent bugs -Single player Exploits Multiplayer although thoroughly tested there are many edge cases that could have been missed, you should expect to be able to play through multiplayer games without a hitch but there might be some game breaking bugs or exploits (if you try hard enough). I will be working very hard to get these patched ASAP upon release. Reporting bugs here will ensure I see them and I am able to fix them, expect bug fixes to be sent out within 24 hours during the first 2 weeks of launch (Dependent on severity): https://steamcommunity.com/app/2420820/discussions/0/ Road Map Although the game is completed I plan to add a few updates: Game Balancing will be the first planned update, this will be the first update which will happen once the community comes to a consensus on what seems over/under powered within the game. General Abilities, currently there are only 3 abilities within the campaign I plan to expand this to 5 dependent on what is most heavily requested (you can make requests here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2420820/discussions/1/) Units, I plan to add in 2 more units to the game, again this is dependent on what the community requests most. Factions, currently there are no plans to add more factions however if requested I will plan to add more to the game. Any additional functionality will be added if heavily requ...
